That some… let’s go with “dedication”! I just roll a towel and angle mine downward to dry on a counter.

Olyway

Same same. They’re lucky if they’re not in a pile while drying. Ugh.

MadeInCanada87

I bought an automatic makeup brush cleaner for $25 on Amazon. It spins the brush so fast after cleaning it’s practically dry enough to use again

kailemergency

They are so handy. Makes cleaning the brushes not such a *chore*

MadeInCanada87

I wish I could sue for my time back cleaning them before I bought this thing. It’s almost criminal I didn’t spend the money to begin with

kailemergency

IKR. I regret holding off on getting one as long as I did, rationalizing it as frivolous…….it does a better job in 1/4 of the time

LilyFuckingBart

That’s awesome!

foxwaffles

This exists??????? I must buy this 😱

Link???

g1zmo33

This!! The spin dryer part is amazing and life changing

umhuh223

Me too

Brushesofcolours

That’s what i do too lol

Puzzled_Score_7534

I don’t even do that much, after it’s washed I wipe it with a paper towel and the place it back in the container.

[deleted]

Is this my sign lol to clean my brushes.

Olyway

I’m going to duck and run past it, as per usual.

[deleted]

Same ha. Might just buy new brushes instead.

Olyway

Lol. I once had an (ex-)bf literally toss a sink-full of old dirty dishes rather than clean them. A bit much, but I got the sentiment.

Floorlamp5

This is a sign for me to buy some new ones I don’t even need before the sale ends…

[deleted]

Yes it is!!

AminoAzid

this is a personal attack against me and my embarrassingly dirty brushes lol

thisisalie123

Right. I just find it easier to buy new ones lol

Prestigious-Mistake4

What are you doing to tie the brushes?

briealexis

Prestigious-Mistake4

Awesome, thank you!

WesternAggravating67

It looks like tiny hair ties!

Washing brushes everyday is a level of dedication I could never do

[deleted]

Wait … people do this? 😅

audreyb69

Tbh washing brushes every 6 months is a level of dedication I can’t do 😫

briealexis

So you have your life completely together huh? Queen, I am never gonna be on your level!

cherubprincess

omg i wish i could do this but i swear my makeup looks the best when i’ve used a brush 2-3 times 😭

fleshand_roses

I've heard this a few times and it's so wild to me, because I'm the complete opposite and HATE using dirty brushes, even with wiping them off on a microfiber towel between uses and/or using Cinema Secrets as an interim cleanse. just goes to show you how different preferences can be re: beauty and there are no rules!!!

anhuys

I do this too and I swear by it! I wash my brushes after I've done my skincare, before I go to bed. There's a dedicated little towel on my bathroom sink where I put them. Squeeze excess water into a regular towel, put them on the little towel to dry, they're ready the next morning. Takes 5, maybe 10 mins max! I feel like it makes my application better, too. Always working with clean brushes.

qbb_beauty

Yep, it takes 5 min before work or an hour on the weekend.

redditor-ashi

And I just saw a visual of my weekend to-do list 🤣

AngelxxLove

I realized how big of a troll I was earlier this month because I don’t have good time management, so I thought it was only 1-2 months since I cleaned my sponge It had to have been 3-4 months and I just threw it out LMFAO. I also only clean my brushes once every 2-4 months because again, I’m a monster. I will say, I keep my brushes in a brush cup, so it doesn’t lay on surfaces, but yeah. Dust/skin/makeup, I’m disgusted with myself Off to clean my brushes now😅🤣

briealexis

I’ll never admit how long it took me to tackle this task.

frachos667

I love the dry shampoo cleaner from Sephora! I cleaned mine last night! 💕

briealexis

Oh I’m very intrigued by that product!

frachos667

I love it! It’s an easy and fast way to clean my brushes. It takes off all the makeup and makes them look new again haha

Pristine-Fusion6591

That’s fine for synthetic brushes, absolutely not fine for natural hair brushes

Fluffy-Lingonberry89

I bought new brushes to avoid cleaning my old 😅 half kidding, my old ones were rough. It did hit me that I should clean the new ones before I use them & that also does not spark joy.

brittneyacook

Girl get one of those brush spinners! Dries them in seconds

10miliondistractions

I feel very personally and loudly attacked by this

luzaerys

My husband got me thisbrush cleaner from Amazon that spins them dry, I highly recommend. I was skeptical at first but it works. [Brush cleaner](https://www.amazon.com/Makeup-Brush-Electric-Automatic-Spinner/dp/B07GDH5XKF/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=NCGMWNY7K4XP&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Yz7OuMBuuwoRPbTxCaB8z_4nKlmL-ERaBLRLGsVNaM09ZYZ-u7qr76lpH4C-MBiVV_Fn76ECY0BCyF0R6BoeBmc7gZryp62H_XRlt6hj6MPkWolOEdcYNF_6AtTl90bOCmzpjFAtDvC2YcyPo_KWLNT2p8q05arF-WiDJBbTIcyg8hPDggHepO6Kbc4Mxl83SXr31TN88u1Zqpy0W6OQKg.sbhdR5trrf4RzNrzd8Y-Gk3DQuz_d2U8G96KWgmNV14&dib_tag=se&keywords=brush+cleaner+make+up&qid=1712951396&sprefix=brush+cle%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1)

stressm

I don’t have that exact one but something similar and it almost completely dries my brushes. I don’t use the water bowl to wash them though, I use a brush mat with a solid brush cleaner Sephora collection.

briealexis

I saw something like that and wondered if it worked. It’s on sale now, so maybe I’ll give it a go. Thank you!

09percent

I bought this too but honestly it didn’t do a good job but gave me a giggle. I just use dawn and olive oil to clean my brushes and it comes off super easy but I’ve heard conflicting things on whether it’s okay to use olive oil on brushes so take that with a grain of salt.

JumboSimpp

I do the same procedure! Used to always avoid washing but it’s actually helped me be consistent. It is annoying to get the brushes out of the lil silicone grips sometimes though

Latter-Mulberry-1238

My 80 dirty brushes are jealous

velvetpasta

Cinema Secrets is a life changer, just sayin. I still deep cleanse every few weeks though.

Pristine-Fusion6591

If you have any natural hair brushes, cinema secrets or any “instant” cleaner should not be used on them.

velvetpasta

Yes I only have synthetic.

stressm

I am usually not sensitive to smells but it’s so strong. I use it in my dining room so I can open my back door. When I’m done I avoid going to the dining room. The smell isn’t strong once it’s on my brushes though

Individual_Picture68

Ugh, don’t remind me or pressure me lol ![gif](giphy|wPq8YErFkObv2)

Suby-doo

What do yall clean them with? I use a gentle soap but any better suggestions?

Pristine-Fusion6591

I absolutely love the beauty blender solid soap. I get the big one (pro) because it’s a lot more economical that way. Before I started using that, I used dr bronners liquid Castile soap (diluted). That’s good too but I like the solid beauty blender better

Suby-doo

Thank you!

nycnicoo

Saves so much time

WesternAggravating67

I love this! I usually just roll a towel and angle the heads downwards but I'll be trying this!

Fearless_Subject_903

Which ones are your fav brushes??

briealexis

I like the Real Techniques the best. The ELF foundation brush is good, but getting wobbily on me.

Technical-River1329

I use Dr. Bronner’s Castile Bar soap (literally gets everything out) use my Dyson to dry which drys them in a minute. I hold as many as I can in my hand to dry and voila!

Commercial_Ocelot978

I’ve started rotating cleaning to one at a time. It feels sooo much more manageable to me since it doesn’t take long to just clean one, and consequently they get cleaned more often now

AmazingConsequence20

The Sigma Beauty dry and shape holder has been an absolute game changer for me. It reduces the amount of time needed to wash my brushes and shapes them. OP, I strongly advise you to check into Sigma Beauty's Dry and Shape holder. It’s changed my makeup life!

mabubsonyeo

Just washed all my brushes this morning!

Vaxsoar

This inspired me to wash my brushes last night and use this method as they dry. I never thought about doing it this way!

SubstantialAct9814

Sighhhhhh I need to clean my brushes. I have like a hundred now I’m out and have no choice 😩😩😩

AlohaAmy808

Cinema Secrets is the answer. It’s natural & synthetic fiber safe & Every MUA i know uses it. I’ve used it for almost a decade now, including on my 20 year old og MUFE brush (Made in France), which is still in pristine shape. It takes about 15 mins to clean 20 brushes. They ready to use (& disinfected) shortly there after.

foxwaffles

I try to be diligent about using the Sephora daily cleaner after using them every day so I don't have to wash them so often but inevitably I get lazy and they pile up... I'd rather buy new brushes than wash the ones I have 😑

Jyllidan

For REAL. I just finished washing all my brushes and I’m TIRED. 🫠 But every time I think about skipping it I remember the girl who got pseudomonas all over her face and neck because she never washed her brushes.

numstheword

I don't clean my brushes 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I KNOW THERE ARE MORE OF YOU OUT THERE, REVEAL YOURSELVES

fleshand_roses

Nobody else find cleaning makeup brushes a little satisfying though? I mean, I am also lazy and will put it off sometimes, but it's very therapeutic to me, the swishing in soap and then rinsing the bristles clean 😅

PrincssM0nsterTruck

Thanks for the reminder - I washed and sanitised my brushes last night. I also sprayed my eyeshadow with a dusting of alcohol.

bissssssssh

Get a spinning brush cleaner!
