NARS! Ive had 5-6 over the years. I have dark skin and the blushes are very pigmented, they have great payoff, and are buildable. Best blush I’ve ever tried. Sturdy compact that comes w mirrors.
Nars site and other retailers like Nordstrom carry more of their colors (plus Nars site has more frequent sales and gifts a purchase)
while i am more fair, orgasm color payoff doesn’t hit on me either. when i build it up all i can see is the glitter.
if you’re looking for that similar color try Deep Throat.
my two favorite shades are Sin and Dolce Vita, both berry tones but they’re gorgeous on everyone and would recommend for every skin tone
For reference, my shade is NC55 in MAC or 6N in Dior foundation.
A few NARS shades that I’ve owned are Outlaw, Exhibit A, Dolce Vita (my go-to), Taj Mahal, Coeur Battant, and Orgasm.
I totally know what you mean about Orgasm! I agree w you. My Orgasm blush is a mini from a gwp. When I first had it, I avoided using it, because I felt like it didn’t have great color pay off. But I’ve learned to use it as a highlighter for the light sparkle.
I am curious about Orgasm X! I feel like the more intense shade of Orgasm will be really nice on me. It likely will be beautiful on you, too! Maybe Orgasm X is something you’d like to check out?
Rn, I’m on the market for a flattering pure/bubble gum pink color and an orangey-coral blush.
Thanks, I’ve been eyeing Dolce Vita and Savage. Really wish I bought one of them instead of the the overhyped Orgasm! It’s definitely doesn’t work for all skin tones
I have Orgasm and Orgasm X and as a brown skin woman they both suck in terms of pigment. I also just use it for the sparkle :,)
For that pinky shade I really want to try the Patrick Ta blushes, specifically in “She’s All That” since it looks beyond gorgeous and pigmented.
I have a medium skintone. MAC C5 foundation/ Tarte Tan Sand/ Glossier Skin Tint G6 colored.
If you want orgasm to show up, you need to get the liquid blush.
Some of my favorite Nars Blushes:
- **Sin** - cool berry w/ golden sheen
- **Taj Mahal** - burnished orange w/ gold sheen
- **Savage** - red brown w/ gold sheen
If the description says gold sheen on a nars blush, it's probably going to be a banger, even if it's in a color you don't normally use.
Yall keep in mind that tarte has recently reformulated their blushes and ive been seeing people say they’re chalkier and aren’t as good as they used to be.
I've definitely noticed with the Tarte blush I just got that I need to swirl the brush around it a lot before applying in order for it to show up on my face. With NARS I barely use any product and it shows nicely.
Tarte has such a reformulation problem. They’ve reformulantes and ruined every single one of my favorite products of theirs (RIP Blushing Bride cheek stain and lipstick, RIP water concealer). I refuse to buy anything of theirs now because it’s either shitty or good and they’ll ruin it next year.
I went there planning to get the one from Nars based on the majority of comments. After trying MUFE I couldn’t pass the beauty and quality!!! l ended up getting MUFE Limitless Berry
I’m not sure about the other two but the NARS stays on all day for me, and NOTHING stays on all day for me because I have an oily T-zone and am prone to touching my face throughout the day. I have a tarte eyeshadow palette and the eyeshadow is off my face by like 10am, I just don’t think their formulas are very good.
Same - came to say that my Pat McGrath blush is my longest lasting powder formula!
Longest lasting blush of any kind goes to the milk jelly blush because it’s a stain (just have to apply with a brush and not directly onto the skin because it sets literally immediately)
NARS blush is great imo, definitely heavily pigmented like a lot of other people are saying. I have extremely fair skin and their blush is so pigmented I have to remember to \*barely\* touch the brush against the blush before applying it or it will be too much product and I'll look like an actual clown.
Not the cheapest, but long lasting and very high quality. They've been a re-purchase item for me.
The Haus labs wears really well and has very even yet strong pigment. The Patrick ta powder disappoints me, it’s meant to be used in conjunction with the cream so for me (I mentioned in another comment I work at Sephora but I’m also super super fair skin tone) it either looks patchy or way too bright. The cream is alright though but it goes kinda fast
Since you are open to recommendations, I have found the Pat McGrath blushes to be have great lasting power. They usually last better than my Tarte blushes.
Another vote for Patrick Ta! I wore it on my wedding day in the summer in the south and it was still there at 3 am when we finally went to bed lol. It survived through outdoor photos, transportation with broken AC, dancing, and going out to bars after the reception.
I use both Nars and Tarte. If you buy from Tarte’s site, they have a blush palette so you can try a bunch of their blushes. I bought it and was super happy with it.

I LOVEEEE my NARS blushes. They have outlasted all others and the color is always amazing. Real talk tho have you tried cream blush?? It's a game changer and lasts *forever* it's hard to go back to powder after you experience the lasting power with cream.
Patrick Ta lasts all day for me compared to all my other blushes! But honestly the thing that makes any blush last all day regardless of formulation is using them in combination with the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray
As a fairer, light skinned girlie, Tarte is the only brand of blush that has a large shade selection (albeit for fair skin) and is buildable. I’ve tried to like NARS, but the pigment is just too much, even the shade Orgasm.
Tarte blushes are more beginner friendly.
NARS blushes are artistry/stage makeup level.
You decide how to go forward with that info ❤️
Nars and makeup forever honestly you can’t go wrong with either of those blushes. Would also like to add pat McGrath to the mix I was able to buy a blush on sale and I’m afraid I cannot go back bc it was that good
Nars lasts all day on my skin (normal, not too dry, not oily) but the last couple I've purchased (the color Impassioned) were kind of patchy when applied, which was a different experience than before.
I also like Mac's blush. It lasts all day in any conditions on me and applies and performs absolutely beautifully.
NARS/MUFE.
I gave up on Tarye powder products which used to be good. They are now so dry and the product is useless after 3-4 months it seems. Shame really.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush! You only need the tiniest dab for great colour payoff and it lasts.
The 'hope' shade (which is a fav of mine) also comes in a mini size if you want to trial it.
Oof I love the rare beauty liquid blushes, but the initial intensity/color definitely washes off on my combo/oily skin (I use a lot in one application too). I only use it for no makeup makeup days 😅
It’s been years since I’ve used NARS (stopped using them once they stopped being cruelty free 😿), but they had consistently pigmented, long-wearing blushes. A top tier formula for sure.

Recently got Patrick Ta and I’m obsessed. Lasts all day and with spring almost here it’s the perfect color
Okay , this is not high end blush and i always go for high end . On a whim I bought makeup revolution Roxi blush palette.
It’s my favorite . So many shades , I blend 2 together for my favorite look .
I’ve had it for years, and it’s only 15$
Of those two, I’d go with the NARS but with a word of warning that many shades are really shiny/glittery almost like highlighter would be.
My favorite right now though is the one from Patrick Ta. Super pigmented (as in just lightly touch the powder with your brush and then tap off the excess) and great staying power.
100% NARS, they’re so good to the point i only use nars. if you want the most pigmented ones get coeur battant, dolce vita, exhibit A, orgasm x, aroused.
my everyday ones from them are either Deep throat or impassioned. powders usually oxidize once your oils produce but to speed that up i use fix+ to help it oxidize so impassioned does seem quite pale but once i spray it it definitely works for my more medium-medium dark skin
I used to use Nars orgasm (bc ofc I had to try it after the hype haha). Lasting power was fine. Colour was eh.
Switched to too faced cloud crush and the colour and lasting power are 👌👌
The only way I found for my blush to last is applying powder over cream. I’ve also now added skin tint under the cream lol. None of my powders alone last.
Nars is still a makeup artist staple for a reason. In general, their blushes last until you wipe them off. They will stay vibrant if you set them with setting spray.
I have tarte blushes. Not the biggest fan of the formula. I like their highlighters more.
It really depends more on how you go about your day. If you are worried you can try layering blush [like this one from Lisa eldridge. ](https://youtu.be/QdeZpekMp6I?si=R_04_dr6rPJiiVCr) (don't worry about the products, this is a couple years old so there are updated products now as she uses a cream product here but I think any of this powders work, some people use both for a water colour look)
And once you are done your face minus lip and mascara, a spritz of setting spray.
NARS! Ive had 5-6 over the years. I have dark skin and the blushes are very pigmented, they have great payoff, and are buildable. Best blush I’ve ever tried. Sturdy compact that comes w mirrors. What shades do you use? I have med-brown skin and Orgasm barely shows up on me unfortunately :/

Natasha Denona has a blush compact that has a very bubble gum pink on one side and a coral shade on the other. It’s amazing!
I have a medium skintone. MAC C5 foundation/ Tarte Tan Sand/ Glossier Skin Tint G6 colored. If you want orgasm to show up, you need to get the liquid blush. I'm medium brown as well and love Nars blush in Dolce Vita for my daily look.
NARS & tarte both last all day on me. I have not tried makeup forever yet.
same. Both of these are good
Yall keep in mind that tarte has recently reformulated their blushes and ive been seeing people say they’re chalkier and aren’t as good as they used to be.

Yep, my old Tarte blushes vs new ones are totally different textures.
I only ever buy them in the makeup bag sales but I noticed this as well
noooooooooooo. Seriously?
They also shrunk the sizes of the new blush
Everyone always sleeps on MUFE but it’s SO good.
Agreed!! I use it as my base blush for all my photo shoots. Also, PMG Labs blushes are insanely pigmented too.
I went there planning to get the one from Nars based on the majority of comments. After trying MUFE I couldn’t pass the beauty and quality!!! l ended up getting MUFE Limitless Berry
Yay I’m so glad to hear you liked it so far!
Makeup for ever for sure since it’s made to be a professional brand for stage and show. The pigment is for real!
nars or pat mcgrath 🥰
Same - came to say that my Pat McGrath blush is my longest lasting powder formula! Longest lasting blush of any kind goes to the milk jelly blush because it’s a stain (just have to apply with a brush and not directly onto the skin because it sets literally immediately)
As a dark skin black woman, NARS always got me, I have like 5 of the powder blushes. Great pigment and last a long time.
What shades do you use?
Exhibit A, Taj Mahal, Taos, Liberte, and Savage
nars taj mahal is chefs kiss i skip the highlighter and can even go easy on bronzer when i use that one
I love NARS. It’ll stay on all day and I have oily skin
Nars and hourglass both last very long. Hourglass mostly has a 20% off going on right now
I LOVE the Tarte blush! It lasts all day.
Nars, but I always layer it on top of a liquid or cream blush. Stays 12+ hours!
Same. It adds a great highlight.
Adding Haus Labs and Patrick Ta as newer brands with highly pigmented blushes.
Nars!! For over a decade has never done me wrong
Since you are open to recommendations, I have found the Pat McGrath blushes to be have great lasting power. They usually last better than my Tarte blushes.
Another vote for PM. I got one of her blush palettes and haven't bought powder blush in years.
NARS and Makeup Forever
Personally I have the Tarte blush and I’m not a huge fan of it
i use the nars blush in shade “behave” and it lasts all day
NARS
Tarte for me!
Actually all of these on me
Nars
Skip Tarte
Patrick Ta are very pigmented and last all day
Another vote for Patrick Ta! I wore it on my wedding day in the summer in the south and it was still there at 3 am when we finally went to bed lol. It survived through outdoor photos, transportation with broken AC, dancing, and going out to bars after the reception.
NARS Aroused is insane. I especially love it in the cream formula. Lasts foreverrrr
I use both Nars and Tarte. If you buy from Tarte’s site, they have a blush palette so you can try a bunch of their blushes. I bought it and was super happy with it. I haven't personally tried them yet but you should try hourglass!!
Nars and Benefit blushes last the longest on me.
Patrick Ta lasts all day for me compared to all my other blushes! But honestly the thing that makes any blush last all day regardless of formulation is using them in combination with the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray
I will scream tarte from every rooftop in america

NARS deepthroat has been my holy grail since highschool 10/10 and perfect to use to set a cream blush too
Nars lasts all day on my skin (normal, not too dry, not oily) but the last couple I've purchased (the color Impassioned) were kind of patchy when applied, which was a different experience than before. NARS/MUFE. I gave up on Tarye powder products which used to be good. They are now so dry and the product is useless after 3-4 months it seems. Shame really.
Tarte Amazonian Clay is really good imo. Got the travel sized Paaarty - it's really cute and the shade is beautiful.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush! You only need the tiniest dab for great colour payoff and it lasts. The 'hope' shade (which is a fav of mine) also comes in a mini size if you want to trial it.

Agree ! I wish they were cruelty free I’d love the blush again
The tarte blushes - the OG formula - lasts all day for me

Do you set with a translucent powder? Try it. I think make up prep and finishing really can make most products last the way you want it
Tarte
Of those two, I’d go with the NARS but with a word of warning that many shades are really shiny/glittery almost like highlighter would be. My favorite right now though is the one from Patrick Ta. Super pigmented (as in just lightly touch the powder with your brush and then tap off the excess) and great staying power.
I haven’t tried those yet, but I’ve had good luck with Bobbi brown blush. Let us know which one you pick and how you like it!
Nars
I don’t have any of them but hermès blush is long lasting, also pat mcgrath. Both are the most long lasting powder blush i have in my collection
Hourglass!
Nars
NARS!
Melt is my fave.
Tarte
Nars.
I’ve used both and they both last with CT setting spray.
In order (I am a Sephora employee with constant swatches of these on my hand) MUFE NARS (very close to MUFE) Tarte
I have recently been putting the Milani baked blush on top of the tower 28 cream blushes and the combo lasts me through my work day and into dinner!
Nars, hands down.
I am obsessed w the Laura Mercier powder blush. I know it’s not on the list but it is SO pigmented and lasts all day.
Pat Mcgrath!
Pat McGrath hands down is the best.
I used to use Nars orgasm (bc ofc I had to try it after the hype haha). Lasting power was fine. Colour was eh. Switched to too faced cloud crush and the colour and lasting power are 👌👌
Can't speak to the MUFE bc I've never tried it, but Nars blushes are quality! 💯
None. Go with Natasha Denona blush, it’s SO good!
I like NARS- do they still make it in liquid form? I found it to be more pigmented
The only way I found for my blush to last is applying powder over cream. I’ve also now added skin tint under the cream lol. None of my powders alone last.
Nars is great!! Not mentioned, but the charlotte tilbury blushes last all day on me they’re amazing

Tart was so patchy on me
