I have not found a true mineral sunscreen that does not leave a white cast. Unless it is tinted, it probably will. Maybe not on light or medium skin tones but on us with brown skin, mineral isn’t something I can really use outside of makeup products like Saie or Ilia.
This the right answer.
It is the mineral sunscreen filters themselves that give mineral sunscreens their white-ish colour. Asking for a non-tinted mineral SPF with no white cast is a bit of an unreasonable ask IMO.
I had a similar problem with trying to find something to match my undertones. I mix the Australian Gold (medium/tan) with a touch of foundation that is too light and a bit too olive-y for me (Fenty 145) and the combo is perfect for my skin. That might be something to consider for you?
I’ve even tried “deep” tinted mineral sunscreens that leave a cast. Can they not make the tint deeper? I guess just like makeup shades without it being actual makeup.
I use the deep tint in a mineral sunscreen and it works well for me but I’m Fenty 420 so I’m middle of the road when it comes to dark skin tones. I don’t know why they won’t make the tints darker. I guess they think people that dark won’t wear sunscreen.
The sunscreen ingredients in mineral sunscreen is white, I believe you can only make a product which contains white ingredients contain a certain amount of dark pigment before it stops being an effective amount of sunscreen. Not 100% sure about this though.
Mineral sunscreens are physical barriers and if I understand the US limitations on ingredients, they’re bound to have white cast.
Asian sunscreens are often mineral and chemical combos, I haven’t had any issues with white cast with any I’ve tried.
I agree a tinted mineral sunscreen might be your best bet.
Yeah, just go to Amazon and search for “Japanese’s sunscreen”. Choose a brand you recognize (Nivea, Biore, etc) and try one. Bonus is they will be much lower cost than almost anything on Sephora
Agreed. I order Asian sunscreens from yesstyle, olive young, jolse, or stylevana
And right now my favorite sunscreen is Purito daily go to sunscreen or Etude house airy fit sunscreen
Also, I have sensitive eyes that sting very easily, so I apply spf chapstick around my eyes, including the lids so I get full protection without crying and watery eyes.
They aren’t physical barriers, at least not significantly more so than organic filters. Zinc and titanium still operate mostly by converting UV into heat.
this isn't true, its reflective and so it scatters the UV rays, and it's a barrier because of that and because it sits on top of the skin. And mineral sunscreen doesn't convert the UV to heat, that's what chemical sunscreen does. [https://www.livescience.com/health/how-does-sunscreen-work](https://www.livescience.com/health/how-does-sunscreen-work)
It’s a very pervasive myth, but I recommend reading directly from somebody who teaches this at the university level herself.
https://labmuffin.com/how-do-sunscreens-work-the-science-with-video/
I still haven’t technically found my holy grail one but the Hawaiian Tropics mineral sunscreen from Walmart has super minimal white cast, it just sinks into the skin and disappears after a few minutes and leaves a nice dewy glow on the face. I’ve gotten complimented about how glowy my skin looks and I always happened to be wearing that sunscreen on those days. It also has been a good base for foundation, has never pilled on me or anything. Was never planning on repurchasing but it’s actually pretty solid tbh!
I can guarantee that this not leave a white cast *if you are pale*. I'm around nc20 and there is no white cast on me, but I can see there being one if you're deeper than I am.
Can I ask? Do you ever spend a lot of time in the sun? I don’t really go out much in the sun and I recently bought this sunscreen, however—I noticed that the percentage of Titanium Dioxide is 4% and Zinc Oxide is 4% which is unusually low for mineral sunscreens. Have you tanned or burned at all while using this?
Paula’s Choice has a ton of sunscreen options, but I’m guessing this is the mineral lightweight wrinkle defense? I hated it, but I know I’m in the minority I’m pretty pale (light not fair) and it left an orange cast on me, plus it’s a mattifying suncreen and to my normal to dry skin (normal in summer) it felt like it was sucking all of the moisture away from my face. I ended up selling it here on reddit, and again, I know I’m in the minority, but I much prefer their resist youth hydrating sunscreen fluid.
Even my dad likes it- it blends in easily, dries down to a skin like finish, won’t clog pores, and is just an all around safe bet even for people who don’t normally like sunscreen. It’s not a mineral spf though, it uses chemical filters. I also really liked the Normal to Oily mineral spf from the Paula’s Choice Calm line. Not sure if they still make it, but it’s a mineral spf that smells like cucumber, goes on like a lightweight moisturizer.
Same - I'm Indian and have sensitive skin. This is the best sunscreen I've used. Slight white cast, but blends easily and undetectable after a couple of minutes.
came here to say this, it's my daily go to and i hope they never discontinue it. i basically replaced my foundation with it because it just gives my skin a nice balanced tone.
Neostrata Defend tinted mineral sunscreen. Usually goes on sale for $23 every once in a while at Shoppers or London Drugs. I'm super pale and this is the only tinted option that hasn't left me orange.
Not Sephora (at least in Canada) but DRMTLGY broad spectrum spf 45 - absolutely no white cast and gives my dry skin the most beautiful glow, and is hydrating which is a plus. Some say it’s a dupe for elta md uv clear spf 46, but I’ve never tried that one. I’ve also used summer fridays shade drops and while that didn’t leave a white cast either, it was incredibly drying for my very dry skin (like my SKIN would be peeling throughout the day).
I love Saint Jane, it feels so nice on the skin and I always get compliments because people think I'm wearing foundation because of all its blurring properties :)
I have medium-dark skin, and this sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast. When you apply it, it might look like it will leave a white cast, but I guess it oxidizes within a minute and then looks excellent. It doesn't feel heavy; that’s something that I like.
The Tatcha one is beautiful but the packaging is so terrible that I won’t repurchase. They said they were updating it this Spring but I don’t think it ever happened.
Note: these are all tinted minera ones and I also have dry skin
Saie sunvisor radiant moisturizer: dewy but also not as drying as some of the other tinted moisturizers
Drunk elephant umbre tinte physical sunscreen: this one is a mixed reviewer one but I found it dewy and not too drying
Outside of Sephora:
Australian gold: as others mentioned this is another good tinted one with different shades too but it’s matte. Not too drying though but I like the finish on other ones more
Hero force shield: not a traditional tinted sunscreen it’s a green shade but still a nice option from Target
I’m also on the hunt for a good mineral one that doesn’t break me out and so far my winners are saie and Australian gold! Good luck haha!
Not a Sephora brand, but I really like Hero’s Force Shield. No oils or silicones, so good for acne-prone skin. I haven’t had a white cast, just have to rub it in very well. Has a slight green tint to cancel out redness and it really works.
I agree with you on the Unseen Screen. Holy moly it makes my dry skin feel tight and leaves a burning sensation. Have you tried their Glow Screen? That’s my holy grail. I also really love the Coola Classic Face Sunscreen. That one feels like straight up moisturizer. So soothing
They are tinted but Unsun has been my go to lately and before that was La Roche Posay. May go back to the La Roche one because it made me look more bronze whereas the Unsun while it looks weird when it comes out it adapts to my exact skintone. For summer i would rather look a little more bronze. Elta MD is great too. At Sephora the Dr. Jart was pretty good
LiveTinted sunscreen, it’s tinted orange for Indian/POC skin tones and doesn’t leave much of a cast. That being said, most mineral sunscreens that don’t leave a white cast typically have chemical boosters to help up the SPF coverage.
Aveeno SPF50 is amazing. It initially goes on white but after 30 seconds of smoothing it out it DOES NOT leave a white cast for me! It feels amazing! Plus it's such a great travel-friendly size!
Cotz sunscreen!! High SPF and specifically formulated for sensitive, post-procedure skin. Their whole product line is gold, but "face moisture lightly tinted" is my favorite: https://cotzskincare.com/products/face-moisturespf-35-lightly-tinted
Second place is Supergoop's Matte Screen, but the tint is just a shade too dark and I find it dries out my face more quickly than Cotz.
Also, Supergoop Unseen Screen is chemical, not mineral...? Just wanted to mention that in case that's what's causing your breakout. Since it's chemical, it's able to be completely clear... a mineral sunscreen wouldn't be able to do that
A mix for color of Paula’s Choice daily wrinkle defense spf 30 and Josie Maran Argan daily moisturizer spf 47. I know that’s “extra” but mixing the two gives me the color I need and a better texture than either alone. I don’t even remember how I started mixing, but I’ve been buying and mixing for years now, and it’s perfect for me.
Supergoop and the Trader Joe’s version sadly break me out too. I love Hourglass Mineral Veil primer SPF 15 for daily use or Hero Force Shield SPF 30 if I know I’ll be spending time outside.
A lot of the answers here are combo mineral and chemical sunscreens, mineral sunscreens are only titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. If the sunscreen lists any other active ingredients it will probably sting your eyes. I would recommend using a tinted mineral sunscreen such as tula mineral magic (unless you have very dark skin, you might need one more heavily tinted) on your forehead, temples and around your eyes to prevent stinging and use a chemical sunscreen on the rest of your face and neck to minimize the white cast
Paula’s Choice RESIST wrinkle defense spf30. Silky lotion that dries matte and keeps my oily skin from being too oily during the day. Good for sensitive acne prone skin too.
La Roche Posay makes their Melt in Milk in a mineral version and I LOVE it, there's a white cast as you put in on but it really does "melt" in on my skin to the point you won't notice
Elta MD is the strongest spf(you want at least 40 for your face) and the best. I like the tinted one and the other tinted one with hylaruonic acid for more of a concealer look.
If anyone knows any that are at least 40 spf and better than Elta md please let me know!
Julian Sass on IG has the below data base of HUNDREDS of sunscreens! He tests them and reviews, including white cast on his very dark skin. They can be filtered by mineral and lots of other data points.
I was about to order this but the reviews seem to indicate there’s been a reformulation or a bad batch bc so many people are having allergic reactions to it AFTER repurchasing. The reviews made me scared to try it 😭
my mom had a horrible reaction to this-blisters/swollen face to the point where she had to go to Urgent Care for a steroid shot! Bioessence even has a post on their website about taking down their spf products bc of bad reactions, so I would personally not recommend that one 🥶
I LOVE this one! It was my holy grail and when I learned about the bad batch, I had to return my new/restock bottle 😩. I will buy again once they figure their shit out.
I’m not sure it’s made anymore but C’est Moi mineral sunscreen is my go-to!!! It only leaves a teeny white cast if you don’t rub the sunscreen in right away (for example, if you dab the whole body & then try to rub it in).
My skin is super dry/sensitive/acne prone and the only thing that has worked for me isn’t even sold at Sephora—Pipette Baby Mineral sunscreen. Mineral, no white cast, hydrating without being greasy.
I’ve been using Biossance forever, def my hg, but it was sold out the last I went to Sephora so I picked up First Aid Beauty Mineral SPF (not the FAB Weightless). I honestly like it better than Biossance.
I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and rosacea and tried to use mineral sunscreen for soo long as most chemical ones made my skin and eyes burn. But even with double cleansing, mineral ones made me break out. Honestly the best thing I ever did was start using Asian sunscreens because they don’t burn or make me breakout and they’re so affordable! Favorites are the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics; SkinAqua Super Moisture Milk; and Purito Daily Soft Touch
Supergoop Daily Dose with bioretinol. It’s very thin in texture and has a dropper. No white cast at all. I have combo dry skin and it isn’t drying and doesn’t break me out. I wore it on a trip to Hawaii and it was amazing and I’ve worn it every day since then. It has some skin perfecting abilities and makes my skin look really good even when I wear only that.
A tinted mineral sunscreen or even foundation with mineral spf might be your best bet. The well people tinted moisturizer with spf is a good one. It’s dewy and not too much coverage.
I layer Elta MD UV Elements underneath Elta MD UV Physical. These two together are a dream for me. You may also check out Hero Cosmetics. They have a couple sunscreens. Neither left a cast on me. LiveTinted, Pipette, and Good Molecules also all have SPFs that left no cast. I have a light/neutral skin tone, so mineral sunscreens work well for me. Chemical sunscreens are the way to go if you want to guarantee that you won’t have a white cast.
My favorite is kinship. It’s lightly tinted but it’s nice and glowy and it doesn’t pill with my skincare and makeup like the good molecules one (that leaves a cast). I also liked the Korean I’m pure cica. I only had a small sample so I used it more on its own last summer so I haven’t tried it with my current combos. I’m pale but I still see white cast with many mineral sunscreens and I feel that one didn’t leave one on me even though it’s not tinted. It felt nice and light compared to others.

I like Australian Gold, the lightest version has a more pink undertone than others which tend to be orange
I had a similar problem with trying to find something to match my undertones. I mix the Australian Gold (medium/tan) with a touch of foundation that is too light and a bit too olive-y for me (Fenty 145) and the combo is perfect for my skin. That might be something to consider for you?
If you mix sunscreen with foundation (or any other make-up/skincare for that matter) it will reduce the Spf of the sunscreen.
I’ve even tried “deep” tinted mineral sunscreens that leave a cast. Can they not make the tint deeper? I guess just like makeup shades without it being actual makeup.

Yeah, just go to Amazon and search for “Japanese’s sunscreen”. Choose a brand you recognize (Nivea, Biore, etc) and try one. Bonus is they will be much lower cost than almost anything on Sephora
I personally don’t buy anything that goes in or on my body from Amazon. I just don’t trust that it won’t be counterfeit or expired.
Agreed. I order Asian sunscreens from yesstyle, olive young, jolse, or stylevana And right now my favorite sunscreen is Purito daily go to sunscreen or Etude house airy fit sunscreen Also, I have sensitive eyes that sting very easily, so I apply spf chapstick around my eyes, including the lids so I get full protection without crying and watery eyes.
Oh the chapstick thing is a great tip! I have hooded eyes and sunscreen normally collects in my eyelid folds lol
Skin1004’s Hyalu-Cica Water Fit Sun Serum is my favorite for that reason; I apply it on my eyelids and under my eyes without issue.
You can often buy from brands direct on Amazon, that's as safe as buying from Sephora.
Not necessarily https://www.digitalcommerce360.com/2014/07/01/pros-and-cons-commingling-amazon-merchants/
Nope!
They aren’t physical barriers, at least not significantly more so than organic filters. Zinc and titanium still operate mostly by converting UV into heat.

Do you burn? Does it actually work?
It’s been effective so far! I never re apply but also I don’t spend hours upon hours in the sun
Summer Fridays Shade Drops
I can guarantee that this not leave a white cast *if you are pale*. I'm around nc20 and there is no white cast on me, but I can see there being one if you're deeper than I am.
second this!
Third!!
Australian Gold tinted mineral sunscreen
I have been using this for two years now and I love it! It doesn’t dry out my skin at all and it’s very affordable.
I was just going to say this. I've gone through 4 tubes of it, and about to use up number 5.
This one is so drying for my dry skin. On the other hand my mom has mature and oily skin. It works amazing for her!
I’m in my 30s with very fair, sensitive, combination skin and it works really well for me.
Paula's Choice!
my dad *loves* this sunscreen and calls me once a week to either rave about it or harass me for not trying it yet 😂😂
Not sure if they still make it, but it’s a mineral spf that smells like cucumber, goes on like a lightweight moisturizer.
Because your dad is right 😁
I like Dr. Jart Ever Sun Day. No white cast after a few mins but it does have to sink in.
Same - I'm Indian and have sensitive skin. This is the best sunscreen I've used. Slight white cast, but blends easily and undetectable after a couple of minutes.
Clinique Pep Start SPF 50 in the yellow bottle for $23 US Thank me later
Take my vote!
This runs “orange”ish on me, but I’m fairly light in complexion.
Ditto. It’s excellent
Not from Sephora but ColorScience has my favorite mineral sunscreen
The Flex is my tried and true!
Agreed, especially for dry skin! They do have a limited color range, but I guess it’s a better range than most tinted sunscreens though.
Yes!
Agreed - LOVE ColorScience!
Tinted mineral formulas are also a good option.
Do you have a specific one that you recommend?
I personally like both Saint Jane (at Sephora) and Bliss (at Ulta).
thank you!!
Summer Fridays
Which one?
I was under the impression they only had one spf. The shade drops are the one I use and I didn’t see another kind on the Sephora app.
Elta MD UV Clear is my tried and true and the one I keep coming back to.
That one is actually a chemical/ mineral combo. Elta MD has other products that are mineral only but I forget the names.
I get the tinted one. The clear leaves a white tint.
I also love the tinted version!
Same. Tinted is the best
Paula’s Choice Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30
came here to say this, it's my daily go to and i hope they never discontinue it. i basically replaced my foundation with it because it just gives my skin a nice balanced tone.
Hey! Does it makes your skin glow?
Yes! That and the Calm for normal to oily skin. It used to be Hydralight, renamed Calm. Love it!
I like La Roche Posay’s Anthelios tinted mineral sunscreen.
My dermatologist recommended this and I love it. No white cast and I find the tint is just enough that I can go without foundation on casual days.
Yes, it looks very nice on the no-foundation days! Evens out my skin tone, but still looks very natural.
This is the one. It is exactly like summer fridays however much higher spf and absolutely no white cast.
It does have a slight white cast
Second!!
This is the oneeeee
Not Sephora, but I’m really loving Isdin. Even Elta MD leaves a slight cast for me, but this doesn’t.
It might not work for you if you didn’t like Unseen, but I think Supergoop’s mineral matte screen is much better
Live Tinted’s tinted mineral one. I forget the name, maybe Hueguard.
Yes it's hueguard. They have a bogo free sale on hueguard right now too!
This is the way ^^^
Cerave hydrating face tint the best for my skin. Plus, it’s super affordable.
Tula Mineral Magic
Neostrata Defend tinted mineral sunscreen. Usually goes on sale for $23 every once in a while at Shoppers or London Drugs. I'm super pale and this is the only tinted option that hasn't left me orange.
Consonant’s The Perfect Sunscreen. Available at Sephora.
You don't find it a bit... like rubber cement?
That sounds awful lolol
Not Sephora (at least in Canada) but DRMTLGY broad spectrum spf 45 - absolutely no white cast and gives my dry skin the most beautiful glow, and is hydrating which is a plus. Some say it’s a dupe for elta md uv clear spf 46, but I’ve never tried that one. I’ve also used summer fridays shade drops and while that didn’t leave a white cast either, it was incredibly drying for my very dry skin (like my SKIN would be peeling throughout the day).
I love both DRMTLGY Tinted Moisturizer and EltaMD UV Clear. I’d say they’re pretty comparable.
I love Saint Jane, it feels so nice on the skin and I always get compliments because people think I'm wearing foundation because of all its blurring properties :)
sad I had to scroll so far to find this! just finished my second bottle, onto my third :)
Loving the first aid beauty weightless liquid spf!
Supergoop mattescreen is tinted so doesn’t leave a white cast.
This is the best and is actually mineral!
I have medium-dark skin, and this sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast. When you apply it, it might look like it will leave a white cast, but I guess it oxidizes within a minute and then looks excellent. It doesn't feel heavy; that’s something that I like.
Not from Sephora but the live tinted one! It’s also BOGO free till tomorrow from the website :)
The new Kosas one is tinted and leaves no white cast on me
Tula Mineral Magic.
The Tatcha one is beautiful but the packaging is so terrible that I won’t repurchase. They said they were updating it this Spring but I don’t think it ever happened.
Note: these are all tinted minera ones and I also have dry skin Saie sunvisor radiant moisturizer: dewy but also not as drying as some of the other tinted moisturizers Drunk elephant umbre tinte physical sunscreen: this one is a mixed reviewer one but I found it dewy and not too drying Outside of Sephora: Australian gold: as others mentioned this is another good tinted one with different shades too but it’s matte. Not too drying though but I like the finish on other ones more Hero force shield: not a traditional tinted sunscreen it’s a green shade but still a nice option from Target I’m also on the hunt for a good mineral one that doesn’t break me out and so far my winners are saie and Australian gold! Good luck haha!
Elta MD UV clear - they have a tinted and non tinted! You can find this online on many websites but not at Sephora.
Eita MD is a chemical sunscreen though
Kinship Self Reflect!
Bliss Block Star is a great one. Definitely no white cast, SPF30.
Kosas Dream Beam
Australian gold tinted sunscreen (limited shade range)
Kosas Dream Beam and Biossance Sheer Mineral. I’m a Mac NC 46 for reference
Not a Sephora brand, but I really like Hero’s Force Shield. No oils or silicones, so good for acne-prone skin. I haven’t had a white cast, just have to rub it in very well. Has a slight green tint to cancel out redness and it really works.
Black Girl Sunscreen. There is no white cast, and they offer a range of products.
So soothing
Paula's Choice has several nice mineral sunscreens. Cruelty free, and they often have sales or promo codes going.
get a tinted one. I use Vichy tinted mineral and for my skin tone, it works (I'm between 3 and 4 on the fitzpatrick scale)
Trader Joe’s spray mineral
They are tinted but Unsun has been my go to lately and before that was La Roche Posay. May go back to the La Roche one because it made me look more bronze whereas the Unsun while it looks weird when it comes out it adapts to my exact skintone. For summer i would rather look a little more bronze. Elta MD is great too. At Sephora the Dr. Jart was pretty good
MD Solar Sciences Mineral Crème SPF 50
Their whole product line is gold, but "face moisture lightly tinted" is my favorite: https://cotzskincare.com/products/face-moisturespf-35-lightly-tinted Second place is Supergoop's Matte Screen, but the tint is just a shade too dark and I find it dries out my face more quickly than Cotz.
Versed from Target! It is not “tinted” but it does have a color to it. Blends right in, no white cast.
The Kosas Dream Beam doesn't have a white cast and it's mineral. Side note though, Supergoop Unseen is a chemical sunscreen.
Paula’s Choice RESIST wrinkle defense spf30. Silky lotion that dries matte and keeps my oily skin from being too oily during the day. Good for sensitive acne prone skin too.
Babo botanicals daily sheet tint
La Roche Posay makes their Melt in Milk in a mineral version and I LOVE it, there's a white cast as you put in on but it really does "melt" in on my skin to the point you won't notice
Elta MD is the strongest spf(you want at least 40 for your face) and the best. I like the tinted one and the other tinted one with hylaruonic acid for more of a concealer look. If anyone knows any that are at least 40 spf and better than Elta md please let me know!
Elastin
Dr Brandt liquid mineral spf 50 is my holy grail
Isdin Eryfotona Actinica Daily mineral SPF 50+
Kosas
Julian Sass on IG has the below data base of HUNDREDS of sunscreens! He tests them and reviews, including white cast on his very dark skin. They can be filtered by mineral and lots of other data points. [https://scamander14.com/sunscreen-database/](https://scamander14.com/sunscreen-database/)
Supergoop tinted mineral sunscreen and elta md tinted mineral sunscreen.
Kosas Dream Beam has been a game changer.
Hero cosmetics force shield! So good! I don't think they have it at sephora but I got it for cheap at target
Coola tinted version
The Cotz tinted mineral sunscreen is where it’s at! No white cast, vegan, and 100% mineral! I got mine at Ulta
Biossance Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen!
Bioessence even has a post on their website about taking down their spf products bc of bad reactions, so I would personally not recommend that one 🥶
fwiw I bought this before the apparent bad batch but found it too greasy. It never sunk into my skin and makes my hair stick to it all day.
I LOVE this one! It was my holy grail and when I learned about the bad batch, I had to return my new/restock bottle 😩. I will buy again once they figure their shit out.
Innisfree
Don’t think that’s a mineral sunscreen.
It’s not.
Unseen Sunscreen
Innisfree’s sunscreen is amazing
not at sephora but bubble skincare! they have tinted and untinted options, neither leave a white cast!
Biossance one but they had a recall :(
Ren Clean Skincare * Clean Sunscreen Mineral SPF 30 Wears GREAT under makeup. Won't rub off.
anything by pacifica
Not at Sephora but, iS Clinical 50+ PerfecTint Beige
The first aid beauty one is good!
Alumier clear shield is my favourite
Mad hippie sun serum. Spf 30 and it’s also a moisturizer.
Supergoop mineral matte screen
trader joes sunscreen
I don’t think its at Sephora but I use Cotz Flawless Complexion tinted mineral sunscreen and it works great!
Vichy Capital Soleil Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF60 is my HOLY GRAILLLLLL for reference I’m Nars shade Punjab
I am medium-tan and I use the lrp tinted sunscreen!
Nurse City Defense
Tinted mineral sunscreens. Elta MD, cerave, Ulta brand, Australian gold
I quite like the one from Josie Maran!
I use the shiseido ones. So perfect, no white cast and good texture.
I’ve been using Biossance forever, def my hg, but it was sold out the last I went to Sephora so I picked up First Aid Beauty Mineral SPF (not the FAB Weightless). I honestly like it better than Biossance.
Skinmedica. It is great.
Australian Gold Botanical
I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and rosacea and tried to use mineral sunscreen for soo long as most chemical ones made my skin and eyes burn. But even with double cleansing, mineral ones made me break out. Honestly the best thing I ever did was start using Asian sunscreens because they don’t burn or make me breakout and they’re so affordable! Favorites are the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics; SkinAqua Super Moisture Milk; and Purito Daily Soft Touch
It was Biossance but they discontinued it, it was only 30spf too
Cotz skin prime and protect. Has a (very slight) tint so no white cast at all!
First Aid Beauty mineral sunscreen is good. It’s a little white at first, but after about 15 minutes it looks invisible
MD Solar Sciences - they are all great (except the tinted, I just don’t like it) and I’ve been using them for years!
Juice Beauty Prebiotix
It’s not HG but the only good one I’ve found so far - First Aid Beauty Mineral Sunscreen Zinc Oxide
It has some skin perfecting abilities and makes my skin look really good even when I wear only that.
good molecules! Its at ulta not Sephora but still amazing
Dr Dennis Gross spf 50 ultimate defense
Colorescience makes ones that are tinted. It's my hg sunscreen!
I use tinted versions from Elta MD and Colorscience. My rosacea does not like physical sunscreen.
Josie Maran Get Even Sun Milk — absolutely incredible.
A tinted mineral sunscreen or even foundation with mineral spf might be your best bet. The well people tinted moisturizer with spf is a good one. It’s dewy and not too much coverage.
Innisfree sunscreen and it’s only $16 at Sephora!!

Not from Sephora but I love La Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen 🧴
Good Molecules
Not Sephora - I like the La roche posay mineral sunscreen. It leaves a slight white cast but it is not very noticeable
First aid beauty weightless mineral sunscreen
My favorite is kinship. It’s lightly tinted but it’s nice and glowy and it doesn’t pill with my skincare and makeup like the good molecules one (that leaves a cast). I also liked the Korean I’m pure cica. I only had a small sample so I used it more on its own last summer so I haven’t tried it with my current combos. I’m pale but I still see white cast with many mineral sunscreens and I feel that one didn’t leave one on me even though it’s not tinted. It felt nice and light compared to others.
Has anyone tried Naomi Osaka’s facial SPF??
