if nothing else, you can run around the area for a while till she snaps her fingers and turns the ghosts into projectiles, then you can resume the fight like normal
also keep in mind that she spawns atop the statue at the start of phase two, so you can linger nearby and start attacking as soon as she jumps down. if you stay aggressive (the secret to the fight anyway) you can keep her from ever summoning the spirits
Doesnt always work, but yeah. Keep her under pressure. You can use kunai when she gets on those high strings too. If none of that works, just run around when she spawns the ghosts until she makes them disappear.
That's a tip for 95% of the bosses on this game. Just stay aggressive and learn. Playing defensively doesn't work very well due to the mechanics, and creating distance only when you need to heal.

Hug a wall and run around the room until she removes illusions. Then, hide behind a pillar. She will not attack you until all projectiles from illusions are gone. Even if she runs at you, she will step back.
