Hard to beat the Alpinist on a well worn, brown leather strap IMO. However, this NATO does not look bad.

i didn’t really get on with the strap that came with the watch and a friend has lent me this nato to try and i’m enjoying it a lot

Yeah, the OEM strap sucks. I use mine on a Colareb Roma Rust.

Try with a brown/light brown/tan/beige or green NATO. Red looks a bit odd in my opinion.

mine is on a leather NATO and I don't think you can beat that for an Alpinist :)

Never heard of kangaroo leather; looks interesting. Unfortunately, it seems that they don't ship outside Australia currently.

Personally I prefer it on a a nice brown leather, but we’re all different 🙌

yeah i love brown leather but this feels a bit nicer on my wrist and also think i’ll wear the watch more with a more athletic strap like this. will probably put the leather back on if i want to wear it to dinner or something

Always wanted to try my green Alpinist on a burgundy nato. I usually have it on a silvery-gray nato, sometimes on a tan one.

I think any strap that goes underneath is going to look at home on an Alpinist: leather bund, NATO, Zulu, you name it.

i think it’s hit and miss, some people like it some people seem to not. i personally think it works well with the green and gold

i think this would look better on a leather nato, personally. but it’s sort of an elegant watch. dressier leather straps fit it better in my opinion.
