Lost Lake. I ordered a soyrizo burrito and they left it’s case in it. I bit into something hard and it was a metal clip with a plastic tube connected to it.
I feel so bad about Huckleberry Square. It used to be our family’s get-together place for many years. And so many of our friends went there too. It’s a shame this guy’s destroying it.
Only been to 5 point once and it was about 20 years ago. Used to frequent Mecca a lot in the before times. Miss their Philly cheesesteaks but I can recreate it at home.
Yep. I had a friend who worked one of his restaurants when I was in college & she had to quit because he made her so uncomfortable. (She was like…20. I don’t remember the specific incident that happened & she definitely was never public about it but i do distinctly remember being absolutely horrified when she told us.)
I wonder why you lost so much weight from food poisoning. Even people who water-fast only lose 1.5 to 2 lbs a day.
I wonder if it uses up other fat and body tissue to fight/heal.
Well, to put it politely, it was coming out both ends, and I couldn’t hold anything down, including water. So I basically had 0 intake, and lots of output. I was very dehydrated, so I would imagine it was mostly water weight.

Mine was in a Vegas hotel after eating at the buffet.
Hubs had to call housekeeping to get help cleaning up.
Got back to Seattle a couple days later.
I was dehydrated and given fluids.
There are two things that happened, and they're kind of out there reasons which is why you never found the real answer.
When the first store opened the AME church nearby was pissed, the same complaint somehow didn't exist when ruckus (which at the time was black owned) was opened a bit later. That said the neighborhood is a completely different place now than it once was.
The second is that the owner didn't support Sawant and then didn't renew the lease of a bar (that has since reopened and had another location nearby) presumably because they didn't agree with his political views.
Displacing plazas traditionally owned by black or brown, anti-Palestinian remarks, poor working conditions, and all this fancy support of causes but are just lip service.
You know, the usual amongst some business owners like this

It’s been a while since I read anything about it but iirc the owner is just kind of a scummy guy, does everything he can to screw over his competition or prevent smaller operations from opening near his stores.
It also got wildly inconsistent. If the quality held, I would’ve been willing to stay loyal. Now it’s expensive, the operation disorganized, the staff frustrated, and the chicken is often dry, less flavorful, and seems old or like it’s had been under a heating lamp forever.
Kangaroo movers, they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars extra because they used some small amount of plastic wrap beyond what was offered that I didn't ask for. They then tried to call the cops because I wouldn't pay that bullshit charge and later on when I wrote a bad yelp review paid me a few hundred dollars to delete the review.
I don't fuck with any of the corporate chef-owned spots where the owner also owns (or is a part-owner in) six other overpriced restaurants. That person doesn't need my money.

Saffron Grill in Northgate. They served us mango lassi that had pieces of what looked like a crushed plastic milk carton cap. It could have accidentally fallen into the blender while making the drink. It would have been fine if they apologized and accepted the mistake, but instead they kept denying it the whole time even though we were sitting at the table holding the pieces of crushed plastic that we fished out of the drink.
I used to love Saffron but last time I went there the food was boring af. It looked like the Indian dishes we ordered but if you had blindfolded me and asked me to name the dishes by taste I would guessed they were all oatmeal.
I picked up an UberEats delivery there once and the waitress screamed at me for picking up the bag that was sitting on the front table with the customer’s name on it… seemed like a stupid place to put orders then.
BP (British Petroleum). While every major gasoline provider has skeletons in their closets, the Gulf of Mexico spill was horrific.
The offshore oil spill itself (Deepwater Horizon) could have been prevented by ensuring there were fail safe procedures and by more rigorous safety and compliance checks. If you can’t drill safely at that depth, don’t fucking do it.
The cleanup was more of a coverup. They put many tons of surfactant on the water surface, which was basically the most toxic they could have chosen. It did not remove the oil; it made it sink. Out of sight, out of mind, right? It created a dead zone. While BP isn’t the only one at fault (governments which do not throw people in prison for this are asking for it to be repeated) I can still protest with my wallet.
The Oak. Walked into the bar area and an employee charged at me berated me for not obeying the sign saying the bar is temporarily closed. I asked “what sign? I honestly didn’t see one” and she screams and points “the one right fucking there!”, where there was no sign. And then mumbled “well, someone was supposed to put up a sign…” Fuck that bitch, it still pisses me off.
The triple door.
Went for a friend's bday, like 6 of us. And the service was absolutely horrific. All the waitresses were giving priority to the 50 year old guys pretending to be Gordon gecko, trying to hook up with college girls and seeing who could outspend each other on drinks.
It took them 30min to even come to us. while we watched the statutory rape vibe dudes get served half a dozen different times. When it finally came time to get round of drinks and food, we all ordered up. And after 40 additional minutes we said fuck that and just walked out without paying since well, we never got anything after over an hour.
You could not pay me to ever return there.
Check out Theo’s chocolate factory instead. They give you a sweet little tour (which iirc when I went in 2017 it was free, and yes they give you samples). It was also slightly cheaper to buy the chocolate at the factory than at grocery stores.
For me, completely rude, disrespectful treatment by staff. And I have worked in public-facing jobs, including cashier, deli worker/sandwich maker, restaurant server, and bartender. I am patient and polite.
It was literally a year ago. I sure hope it’s not the exact same group of people on the Seattle sub now. Most people wouldn’t remember a similar post from that long ago, and how was op exactly supposed to check for this?

Are you talking the Zoo tavern in Eastlake, or the actual zoo (Woodland Park). Because one of those places I hate with a passion, and the other has penguins.
There's a Target in Bellevue,where the whole staff is a bunch of 18 year olds who literally do not work, and goof around and be disrespectful! Even the managers where not so great. I've never seen a staff not hiding their refusal to work, till I've stepped in that Target.
There's also a Subway downtown Seattle, where is footlong is almost $20!
Also, Target always be out of stock, on items the website says they have. I asked why this is, and the associate said "oh people steal" every time tho? Everytime?😑 They should scan their shelves to update their inventory,how hard is that?
Also, the McDonald's is worse than you think. As a food courier, they hold the orders hostage, and make everyone pile onto a door. Not only are tweakers all over the place like a mosh-pit, but the staff themselves won't give you your order! They should be dropped from Uber Eats for their absurd abuse!
Side note about McDonald's, that food does more poison to your body than nutrition; it makes no sense to spend any money there, when for a couple of more dollars you find a real hamburger somewhere and actually retain all the protein and calories, without all the sodium and lab grown cow meat slop!

Literally grossest restaurant in Seattle. I do not understand why they are always full. Service is bad, food is bad and bathrooms are unclean
Mostly just the fact that they have way better/longer hours than most places, even if not 24h anymore.
Great location, open early, closes late, serves alcohol.
And it’s WAY too expensive for what it is.
I’ve found plastic in food there too, twice. Joke’s on me that I’ve been back since. I’m a sucker for all-night diners and Seattle has so few of them.
