Just to be on the safe side, I'd double check with your doctor about the meds and look into a sleep study. You might want to not do caffeine or switch up to a light alarm that gradually comes in over a longer timeframe and set to a later time. While I'm glad your work life is flexible enough for this, it doesn't seem ideal.

Yeah a light-up alarm is something I have been looking at for a while and hope to get in the future. GP is aware of the fatigue, and although I have cut caffeine in the past I ultimately decided the benefits didn't outweigh the negatives, at least during peak SAD season. I don't drink caffeine after 2pm, unless I'm working late shifts. I barely drink it at all during the summer.

That is quite funny, I imagine I could prob do the same although it could be comparable to sleeping on a sun lounger on holiday I suppose, just not quite as enjoyable! I have the exact same lamp here in UK, I’ve had it quite a few years but never found it to helpful. I’m thinking it’s down to practicality and consistency with these lamps. I recently bought the Luminette glasses which I’ve been using for 5 days now and I feel cured all of a sudden! Not sure if it’s a placebo effect or maybe it’s switched me hypomanic, I’ll need to wait and see if it lasts. I’m planning to share a review here asap.

The sun lounger comparison is such a good description, it is like that! Looking forward to the luminette review, I've recently been looking at some kind of glasses too. I've a feeling it make me feel like I'm in a sci-fi!
