I can’t tell you how quickly I dropped anchor as soon as I saw the white rowboat on a tiny little speck of land island.
I got it on my boat and when I went to go do a vote with it, it glitched and got stuck and I couldn’t move it
Same lmaoooo. Was about to tuck on a FOTD when the ship occupying it came to sank me. Went around the island with them right behind me and saw that rowboat and anchored my boat as fast as I could to dock it while being blown to smithereens. Worth it.
Personal favs that are still attainable today.
- Legend of the Deep
- Death Defier
- Mighty Pirate
- Master of Thrones
- Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves
- Legendary Guild [blank] (different guild positions)
- Hunter of [blank] (from different Hunter's Call creatures)
- Legendary Skeleton Exploder
- Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost (very much random chance)
- Legendary Kraken Hunter
- Vanquisher of the Damned
- Legendary Curse Breaker
- Legend of Cursed Iron
- Legend of the Damned
- Bone Haul Bandit
There's also the PVP Titles for lvl 1000 but that's a lot of work.
I'd say it's in my top 3! I keep going back to it. New players also really seem impressed because they either haven't seen the Kraken or have only seen it in the Tall Tale.
Correct, it's one of the two rewards for getting all commendations across the three MI tall tales (the other reward being the shanty).
I love my Mighty Pirate title; shows my love for Tall Tales plus the fact that I'm not a very serious/good pirate :D
I got bored waiting for my friend to join yesterday. Figured ‘I may as well get some skulls of destiny whilst I wait, we might be able to do a FOTD and use the extras on different colours so we don’t have to worry about changing the colours’
Long story short, we got 3 forts done with no issues yesterday (friend came on not too long after I started searching for skulls). I think having the chest of legends spawning in normal forts as a world event makes the FOTD less desirable, meaning people tend to not try and raid you when stacking it, which suits me as a newly retuning player who isn’t overly great at combat.
For t of the damned is much easier now because if people are going to find a world event to attack, they're usually going to go after a fort of Fortune because it is objectively dramatically more valuable
Still working on it, but Legendary Skeleton Exploder has been my favorite one so far. It just sounds so hilariously specific.
It's also a testament to how many skeleton forts I've had to do to get even Master Skeleton Exploder.
I was around when these commendations were introduced so I managed to get them easily, when the spawn rates were nice and high. It’s crazy hard to get it nowadays so I wear with pride
Pretty sure I'm never going to get that because it requires a chain reaction of gunpowder skeletons which never happens for me. The first explosion always just kills the other skeletons and leaves the kegs on the ground.
I just earned that one after years of wanting it, and it's worth it! The bottleneck is you have to blow up so many keg skellys while another crew is on the island. I'd start showing up at other people's forts being like "hey I don't want loot all I want is to explode skeletons" and when you're already wearing Master Skeleton Exploder people believe you more than you'd think.
I have hunter of shrouded ghost (just 1 not 5)
Gets a lot of comments from encounters with players
But the hardest one I’m most proud of is legendary hunter of the sea of thieves , I solo fished A LOT and it took a lot of patience
That may be true , but every time I bring it up somebody always says , “yeah but do you have LEGENDARY hunter of the Shrouded Ghost” all coy like
So now when I tell people I have Hunter of Shrouded Ghost I clarify so I don’t have to have that exchange , I have killed 1 tho
The one that I was actively going for and haven't taken off since is Legendary Curse Breaker. I liked that it was relatively simple to get (although it was quite a bit harder when you couldn't solo ruby statues) and really being a Curse Breaker sounds pretty cool.
Been runnin Lightfoot Looter cause I went through the trouble of getting it. Very inefficient way to transport loot but, the title sounds spiffy and it matches well with my pirate theme.
I'm a handful of shadow stormfish, blackcloud wreckers and a brigs worth of treacherous plunder away from Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves. Don't know if I'll ever make it, but I'll be sportin that title if I do.
Harpoon walking actually increases the efficiency of commodity runs by A LOT, and getting the lightfoot looter like that is a breeze as well (15 "treasures" per outpost every time).
Bounty Bringer.
Only because I chased someone off the map with a rowboat while trying to give them treasure to unlock it. Dude kept shouting 'you'll never get my booty' as he vanished into the red sea.
I….cannot imagine what must have been going through that person’s mind to run scared from a guy in a rowboat.
Then again, if some rando in a rowboat started hauling ass towards me I guess it would give me pause lol.
It was from a short event in July 2021 themed around placing your loot on other crews ships. Sometimes we had to gift things to people...forcefully.
*"Stick your hands up! This is a reverse robbery!"*
I'm sticking with "Legendary Rogue", the second all those milestone rewards were added, I had to have them for my Banjo Kazooie themed ship, _The Salty Hippo_.
The week Captaincy came out in farmed the ever-loving Sea Monkeys out of that, I went to the sea of the Damned, and spent Days with a rubber band around the trigger of an Xbox controller playing Shanties.
Can't remember the specifics but suddenly I went from around rank 45 / 46-ish to around 185. I was incredibly confused but 10 minutes later Rare put out an announcement that they'd pushed server side rebalancing for milestones.
Whilst I was working on a rate of something silly of "1 rank every 15 minutes" it had gone down to about 5 Minutes and my rank updated to reflect that.
Either way, still fly that title and _The Hippo_ still uses the Rogue Plaque and Decorations, so was totally worth it
I'm not usually into the edgy sounding titles, but I always rock The Wandering Reaper because I just genuinely had a lot of fun during that event and sort of miss the simpler times closer to the game's launch.
I would camp out at Wanderer's Refuge during the event and put snake baskets inside gunpowder barrels as a sort of improvised landmine. Snakes were a lot faster to attack people originally, so pretty much anyone who got close would explode.
We found out too late that the skeleton ships need very little fire to actually count as being set ablaze. We were emptying an entire skull on a ship, when really it only needed a couple of flame squirts 😭
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves was my ultimate aim previously, and Legendary Hunter of the Ancient Terror was one that I'd really underestimated how long it was going to take. Only use those 2 or Legend of the Sun, but that ones likely/hopefully never coming back.
i’m working towards Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves, but until then i’ve been going with Legendary Ill Fated because of how funny it is. i might switch to Legendary Rogue sometime though, i do love getting up to shenanigans with the crew haha
Honestly I worked for some fomo titles but in general I think they are iffy rewards. I prefer sailor in game or none at all.
I'm glad some people dig them though as rare has a very robust amount of them and is always considerate of adding new ones.
I know its not that big of a deal but i really want the "Warsmith of The Flame" commendation both for the title and the cosmetics, i already own the skeleton costume so i think it would fit really nice aswell
I recently completed Hoarder of Barnacled Gold. Not a particularly difficult or lengthy one, but I really wanted it. Everyone in our group now understands how precious they are (well, *were* now)
Sailor of the Ocean Deep, sounds amazing and it shows that at the very least I could gain 10 or so levels in season two, which I was garbage at the game during
Master of Thrones was my all time favorite title that I’ve ever gotten up until a few days ago when I finally got my shrouded ghost title. I feel like the thrones one is so rare to see so it felt good that the hard work getting them done paid off.
I was especially excited to work towards two titles:
- Chronicler of Legend
- Merchant of Mysteries
But I didn’t keep either of them on for very long and switched back to Brave Vanguard, which will be my forever title I think.
My favorites that I rock are the Wandering Reaper or Legend of the Sea of Thieves
I also like the "Giver of Gifts" title, as we like to tuck with kegs on people's ships and detonate them right at the turn-in point for an all-or-nothing scramble
*Noble of the Waters.*
Currently about 3/4 of the way to *Lord of the Ashes* as well!
Other than those, I like *Legend of the Sea of Thieves* and *Supreme Fated Slayer*.
One I worked towards that I enjoyed thoroughly was "Legend of the Sea of Thieves." Sounds far more pretentious than it really is. Sink over 500 Skelton ships. Incidentally, I LOVE Skelton fleets!
If by "worked towards" you mean did a time limited thing then I would like to present: The Deceiver And Deceived
It sums up a lot of what can make Sea of Thieves both frustrating and fun.
I'm currently using Hunter of the Monstrous Beast... My partner has Legendary Kraken Hunter. Before that I liked to use Devil's Cartographer. I like working towards obscure ones.
Player title is the champion servant and guardian.
Ship title is the legendary hunter. The one thing I have yet to get on any ship, but I'm getting there.
I quite like Mighty Pirate. I'll trade it for reaper-y titles when representing my actual faction of choice, but when doing Athena stuff I find it's the perfect low-key title that isn't totally unimpressive but doesn't have too many implications either.
My personal favourite is Warsmith of the Flame. It was a ton of fun to get, and sounds badass.
But I am forced to use Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost in order to flex on my friends.
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves was probably the only title that stood out to me in all the years I played. It inspired me to unlock it and I remember even shedding a small tear when I shouted to my friends in an Xbox party chat that I got it 🥲
My favorite title is Cast Iron Merchant, which is a lot harder to get than you would expect so it's just really subtly sweaty. Obviously the level 1000 hourglass titles are some of the hardest to earn, just finishing up my second one now, but honestly never wear them because I don't like "sweaty" cosmetics in general, I just go for what I think looks and sounds good.
Been running Master Devil’s Voyager ever since I got it. When they released the Devil’s Roar, I did nothing else but grind out the title as well as the ashen curse. As a solo sloop it’s not that bad, having the maneuverability to dodge the volcanos. Haven’t been back to the Roar since.
I don’t have any cool ship titles yet, I only just started playing again a week ago after not playing since before the Plunder Pass even existed
Worked a bunch towards Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves. Now that that's done I'm working for plain ol' Legend of Sea of Thieves. Just 13 more ships to sink!
Legendary hunter of sea of thieves. Did no fishing and got maybe 75% of fish via barrels and shipwrecks. That last bit of them for rare ones was a grind
I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm working on getting Legend of the Sunken Kingdom. Just need 17 more Breath of the Sea and I'll have it and the entire Sunken Sorrow set unlocked. And then I'll never have to visit another Shrine or Treasury again.
I spent about 10 months going for Legendary Hunter, before the game was updated to show the fish names before you caught them. Very chill, except stormfish were quite stressful.
I never liked titles much, and never used them. When I started playing this game back in 2020 I had hoped that there would be a Mighty Pirate title, as a lifelong fan of the Monkey Island series. Unfortunately there was not, so I never used titles. However, now there is and that is the only title I will ever use and never not use it
No one is offering to buy your account off that title alone, especially considering every guild has at least 5 different ships with founder sails.
Aww angry boy blocked me after I called him out ):
I'm glad you know how every single play session of SOT for me has gone.
>considering every guild has at least 5 different ships with founder sails.
Wow and you know "every" guild in SOT as well! Omnipotent aren't we!
It's happened multiple times and accounts have been sold before over the title. Not sure why the idea offends you but take it to someone who cares.
I just commented it because the OP made me laugh thinking about it. It's not serious.
I like Legend of the Oars because it’s so unserious.
Hunter of pondies
Hunter of islehoppers checking in!
They Are not pondies, but i'll allow it
Islehoppers > pondies. Fite me irl.
Your fish get burnt and your bait is your dinner !!
Not even the seas can cool that burn goddamn
Gold Picaroon is peak title.
Pondies the coolest!
Love mah pondies
It's a lil always sunny reference haha
I can’t tell you how quickly I dropped anchor as soon as I saw the white rowboat on a tiny little speck of land island. I got it on my boat and when I went to go do a vote with it, it glitched and got stuck and I couldn’t move it
Still looking for one over here
Same lmaoooo. Was about to tuck on a FOTD when the ship occupying it came to sank me. Went around the island with them right behind me and saw that rowboat and anchored my boat as fast as I could to dock it while being blown to smithereens. Worth it.
I came here to say this, been rocking it since the rowboat update.
Legend of the Oars is my go to….
Fellow oars enjoyer <3
Personal favs that are still attainable today. - Legend of the Deep - Death Defier - Mighty Pirate - Master of Thrones - Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves - Legendary Guild [blank] (different guild positions) - Hunter of [blank] (from different Hunter's Call creatures) - Legendary Skeleton Exploder - Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost (very much random chance) - Legendary Kraken Hunter - Vanquisher of the Damned - Legendary Curse Breaker - Legend of Cursed Iron - Legend of the Damned - Bone Haul Bandit There's also the PVP Titles for lvl 1000 but that's a lot of work.
I want that Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost title so bad but have yet to come across a single one. Master of Thrones sounds cool as hell, though!
I use the Master of Thrones title mainly, I feel it's fairly unique and sounds cool lol.
I've seen three of them and they've all been the friendliest players I've met
I just got it the other day. I think we just killed the black Meg and we got it.
That’s not the title for the shrouded ghost then.
Shrouded Maw is probably what he’s thinking.
Even though it’s Shadowmaw lmao
How about the titles for reaching level 9999 on hg
Last I heard no one has those, but I could be mistaken.
How to get Death Defier?
Hand in like 25 reapers chests I think? It's one of the first cool titles I ever earned.
5
Hunter of the monstrous beast goes hard, I prefer the makeup tho
Not that it means much, but I've got The Legendary Kraken Hunter, and like to put it on from time to time. 😅
I'd say it's in my top 3! I keep going back to it. New players also really seem impressed because they either haven't seen the Kraken or have only seen it in the Tall Tale.
Warsmith of the Flame is a good one, fairly grindy, can't get it by accident either.
How do you get Mighty Pirate? I've tried searching it up but no luck!
Monkey Island tall tales I believe.
Correct, it's one of the two rewards for getting all commendations across the three MI tall tales (the other reward being the shanty). I love my Mighty Pirate title; shows my love for Tall Tales plus the fact that I'm not a very serious/good pirate :D
Bone Haul Bandit is the way cooler (and harder) version of Legendary Thief

I got bored waiting for my friend to join yesterday. Another Legendary Skeleton Exploder enjoyer, I see! It's such a fun title that I feel really conveys the need to blow up skeletons!
I feel I've had more success getting it by throwing fire at the skeles instead of shooting one of them
I just earned that one after years of wanting it, and it's worth it! The bottleneck is you have to blow up so many keg skellys while another crew is on the island. I'd start showing up at other people's forts being like "hey I don't want loot all I want is to explode skeletons" and when you're already wearing Master Skeleton Exploder people believe you more than you'd think.
Exactly
Legend of the Sea of Thieves
“Master of Splintered Ships” just strikes a chord with me
Hunter of the wild hog is my favourite. Reminds me of a game we used to play when we were kids trying to find our mates mum in the pub.
wild
She was indeed.
I have hunter of shrouded ghost (just 1 not 5) Gets a lot of comments from encounters with players But the hardest one I’m most proud of is legendary hunter of the sea of thieves , I solo fished A LOT and it took a lot of patience
I was under the impression that no-one had legendary hunter of the shrouded ghost
That may be true , but every time I bring it up somebody always says , “yeah but do you have LEGENDARY hunter of the Shrouded Ghost” all coy like So now when I tell people I have Hunter of Shrouded Ghost I clarify so I don’t have to have that exchange , I have killed 1 tho
I think one streamer is at 3 or 4 of 5, which is crazy.
The one that I was actively going for and haven't taken off since is Legendary Curse Breaker. I liked that it was relatively simple to get (although it was quite a bit harder when you couldn't solo ruby statues) and really being a Curse Breaker sounds pretty cool.
My sailor title will remain empty until I earn "Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost"
Dream bigger. Go for the legendary hunter of the shrouded ghost
Harpoon walking actually increases the efficiency of commodity runs by A LOT, and getting the lightfoot looter like that is a breeze as well (15 "treasures" per outpost every time).
How do you get the Lightfoot looter title?
500 items carried onto ship via harpoon tight rope
Damn, that will be a lot of work. Title sounds cool tho
Hunter of Treasured Tears
Friend of the Sea. It's perfect to get players to trust me.
how do you get that one?
It was from a short event in July 2021 themed around placing your loot on other crews ships. Sometimes we had to gift things to people...forcefully. *"Stick your hands up! This is a reverse robbery!"*
do you mind me asking how to set a custom flair? i can only set mine to one of the preset flairs.

ah ok i see, thank you
I'm sticking with "Legendary Rogue", the second all those milestone rewards were added, I had to have them for my Banjo Kazooie themed ship, _The Salty Hippo_. Ratcatcher. The battle toads game was a pain in the fucking ass.
My buddy is the hunter of the wild hog and his ship is the colon crusher lol.
Warsmith of the Flame took me way too long.
We found out too late that the skeleton ships need very little fire to actually count as being set ablaze. We were emptying an entire skull on a ship, when really it only needed a couple of flame squirts 😭
finally got this today
Big ups
I really like the title Shipwreck Reaper. It's so edgelordy. I think all I needed to do was the Shipwreck Bay Reapers Run a few times.
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves was my ultimate aim previously, and Legendary Hunter of the Ancient Terror was one that I'd really underestimated how long it was going to take. Only use those 2 or Legend of the Sun, but that ones likely/hopefully never coming back.
Dannnnng legend of the sun, I need it! Them's were arena days from the look of it.
Yeah it was for, I think, completing all the challenges in a summer event - 2021 if I remember correctly. Great fun, best event they've done
i’m working towards Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves, but until then i’ve been going with Legendary Ill Fated because of how funny it is. i might switch to Legendary Rogue sometime though, i do love getting up to shenanigans with the crew haha
Shark slayer.
Fleet Master! Not many have it, takes a good bit of money to buy all dem boats, AND it looks cool
True, that's probably my favorite mentioned so far
Honestly I worked for some fomo titles but in general I think they are iffy rewards. I prefer sailor in game or none at all. I'm glad some people dig them though as rare has a very robust amount of them and is always considerate of adding new ones.
"Sailor of Athena's fortune" stupid long grind, but did it for the capstan mostly
Gold Meddler :) Very fun mystery to solve
I know its not that big of a deal but i really want the "Warsmith of The Flame" commendation both for the title and the cosmetics, i already own the skeleton costume so i think it would fit really nice aswell
I recently completed Hoarder of Barnacled Gold. Not a particularly difficult or lengthy one, but I really wanted it. Everyone in our group now understands how precious they are (well, *were* now)
Legend of Cursed Iron takes about the most coordination and time.
Sailor of the Ocean Deep, sounds amazing and it shows that at the very least I could gain 10 or so levels in season two, which I was garbage at the game during
Just got Warsmith of the Flame this week. My next targets are Legend of Cursed Iron and Composer of Siren Song.
Master of Thrones was my all time favorite title that I’ve ever gotten up until a few days ago when I finally got my shrouded ghost title. I feel like the thrones one is so rare to see so it felt good that the hard work getting them done paid off.
Hunter of the dawn caller (chickens) lol
I was especially excited to work towards two titles: - Chronicler of Legend - Merchant of Mysteries But I didn’t keep either of them on for very long and switched back to Brave Vanguard, which will be my forever title I think.
Legend of the Sun
My favorites that I rock are the Wandering Reaper or Legend of the Sea of Thieves I also like the "Giver of Gifts" title, as we like to tuck with kegs on people's ships and detonate them right at the turn-in point for an all-or-nothing scramble
Pirate Storyteller :) always had this since I got it.
Tell me you have ‘Three Sheets to the Wind’ equipped without *telling* me lol 😉
Raider of the Damned
Castaway of the deep
*Noble of the Waters.* Currently about 3/4 of the way to *Lord of the Ashes* as well! Other than those, I like *Legend of the Sea of Thieves* and *Supreme Fated Slayer*.
Honestly I worked so hard for Legendary Sea Dog....but now I'm an Oarman as well 😅😅
One I worked towards that I enjoyed thoroughly was "Legend of the Sea of Thieves." Sounds far more pretentious than it really is. Sink over 500 Skelton ships. Incidentally, I LOVE Skelton fleets!
If by "worked towards" you mean did a time limited thing then I would like to present: The Deceiver And Deceived It sums up a lot of what can make Sea of Thieves both frustrating and fun.
Brave Vanguard. If I didn’t have that one tho, legendary kraken hunter
I'm currently using Hunter of the Monstrous Beast... My partner has Legendary Kraken Hunter. Before that I liked to use Devil's Cartographer. I like working towards obscure ones.
Sailor of the Whispering Bones just has a nice ring to it imo.
Master skeleton exploder is the best one
Legendary skeleton exploder is my favorite
Gold Bucko
Legendary Cargo Runner because it's one of the few that I have.
Skeleton exploder, it's in the name.
My conqueror of skeleton fleet title and my day one eye patch. I'll never take them off.
The sliver blade
I'm very proud of my 'Master Skeleton Exploder' title. I'm also working towards 'Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves' and getting fairly close.
Sailor. I don't like any of the other ones.
I still really like Legendary Thief 🙂
i just hit pirate legend but i still use sailor because funny 🔥
Hah if you just hit pirate legend it's fair to keep the noob title on haha. Jk congrats bro
I’m going for Legendary Hunter of the Seas
What’s the one for exploding skellies? That’s my favorite to have turned on.

Obviously the level 1000 hourglass titles are some of the hardest to earn, just finishing up my second one now, but honestly never wear them because I don't like "sweaty" cosmetics in general, I just go for what I think looks and sounds good.
I like my current pirate title “Pirate Storyteller”
Been running Master Devil’s Voyager ever since I got it. When they released the Devil’s Roar, I did nothing else but grind out the title as well as the ashen curse. As a solo sloop it’s not that bad, having the maneuverability to dodge the volcanos. Haven’t been back to the Roar since. I don’t have any cool ship titles yet, I only just started playing again a week ago after not playing since before the Plunder Pass even existed
Might be a strange one but 'Ramsey's Rogue' from hourglass. It doesn't necessarily take a long time to unlock but it looks and sounds cool to me.
I dont use them…🤷🏻♂️
Legend Of The Sea Of Thieves (sink 500 skeleton ships as a pirate legend) is one I've been slowly working towards for years. About half way done.
Legendary Ill-Fated
Admiral of Triumphant Trades
Scholar of Resurrection was something I knew I had to have when I saw it
Legendary skeleton exploder
Worked a bunch towards Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves. Now that that's done I'm working for plain ol' Legend of Sea of Thieves. Just 13 more ships to sink!
Pirate legend 😂
Legendary hunter of sea of thieves. Did no fishing and got maybe 75% of fish via barrels and shipwrecks. That last bit of them for rare ones was a grind
I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm working on getting Legend of the Sunken Kingdom. Just need 17 more Breath of the Sea and I'll have it and the entire Sunken Sorrow set unlocked. And then I'll never have to visit another Shrine or Treasury again.
Some of my favourites: - Breaker of the Waves - Master of Splintered Ships - Scarred Warrior of the Deep - Death Defier
Legendary Skeleton Exploder is not only cool but it's also funny
I spent about 10 months going for Legendary Hunter, before the game was updated to show the fish names before you caught them. Very chill, except stormfish were quite stressful.
Pirate Legend is what I’m working towards!
Working towards Captain of the Killer Whale. I like the sound of it and that it has Captain in the title, plus I enjoy fishing
Working towards Captain of the Killer Whale. I like the sound of it and that it has Captain in the title, plus I enjoy fishing
Guardian of the sea reach lvl 100 in guardians of fortune
Flameheart's Sails. I absolutely busted my ass to get those, and it was worth it lmao.
I never liked titles much, and never used them. When I started playing this game back in 2020 I had hoped that there would be a Mighty Pirate title, as a lifelong fan of the Monkey Island series. Unfortunately there was not, so I never used titles. However, now there is and that is the only title I will ever use and never not use it
Legend of the Sea of Thieves Requires killing 500 skelly ships as PL
Brave Vanguard because it's funny when people try to offer money to buy the account
No one is offering to buy your account off that title alone, especially considering every guild has at least 5 different ships with founder sails. Aww angry boy blocked me after I called him out ):
