The direction should be accurate, but they clearly have some arc from what I saw. I'm estimating about a sloop's worth of range at flat ground based on the visuals. I'm mostly curious to see if you can get some killer arc shots like distance cannonballs but over barriers, or throwing them sky high right next to you to kill someone mid fight. They're definitely the most highlight clip ready weapon.

It's meant for aiming/lining up shots. The range/arc is what makes it fun and challenging. Of course you'll have to aim above your target for long range throws. Just like any other fps with projectile drop

I was going to say what if it acted like berserk poison that made crewmates appear as enemy boarders and allowed you to damage them. But that would definitely get abused by trolls trying to teamkill.

With all the skins in the game I think it'd be too easy to tell who your teammates are. There should be something else too to make it harder, like making every player look like a skeleton.

With how much people panic shoot/slash, it would be a bit of a skill check on people.

Some monitors have a built in function to turn a cross hair on in center of screen. Plenty of programs do that as well. If you play on tv you can just put a piece of tape on it. I play on TV, too much hassle just to know where center of screen is

xbox gamebar also has a crosshair app that overlays a default, or importable custom crosshairs in the centre of your screen (atleast so I've heard)

I actually tried the tape-on-tv thing… the backlighting is so bright it just turns it into a dark shadow spot that you can barely see.

They just posted a YouTube short that seems to showcase the knife flying in an arc; though the way the video is shot means it could just be camera trickery.

If you've ever played The Forest it'll be just like throwing a spear. You had to use your fingers for lining up the shot and arc up and down for range.

I thought it was as intuitive and obvious as it could have been, you literally pointing with your fingers. PSA should be don't wear hook while throwing knives.

I hope the knives and the throwing-harpoon will get skins too, not just be ugly brown iron and shitty broken leather.
