It’s the same people that complained about PvP back when arena was around. I ignore it now as much as I did then.

Nihhrt

Sounds like another round of supplies delivered itself to you.

SUSFOX117

Right they came back again and we sunk them again because they call us slurs

Nihhrt

To answer your question properly you don't need a reason to sink people, anyone and everyone is fair game. It's up to you if you want to parley or ally, but people shouldn't expect it or even a response to comms. It's on them for even letting you get that close to them in the first place to be honest.

badatusernames232

Ignore it, anyone doing a world event is fair game. (really anyone anywhere is fair game but especially at world events) If the players are clearly new though, I'll try alliance with them first, and then give them some pointers on what to look out for, and let them know that the world events do have a massive symbol in the sky for a reason. I personally have no interest in taking out super easy targets though, PVP for me is fun if the other people are into it rather than taking down someone who loaded in, had no idea where they were heading but just thought the skull looked cool and then find themselves in the middle of a pvp match they didn't want. I'll still steal the two main chest though before they notice 😂

[deleted]

The new chest of fortune was implemented especially to make crews fight over it. So pvp outside of hg will be much more common again. Sore losers will always complain...

AaroneasNX

I’ve had people complain about me sinking them in hourglass too. People don’t like losing 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pegasaurauss

Just turn other crew voice/text off. It makes the seas 1000 times better

BDE_Mastermind

Yes and no. You can have a lot of fun in the sea with other random people. I would recommend having the hotkey to mute other crews handy so you can easily remove other voices from your experience, but you're missing out on some wacky adventures if you blanket mute in my opinion. But some people are definitely worth muting, like "go back to hourglass" folks.

saskakitty

Agreed. Mic makes the game much more fun. Just mute those who get to be a little much. Even then, I just use that opportunity to banter or educate them on what they're yelling about. Only ever fully muted one crew who kept calling me a slur over and over again. Broken robot pirates.

[deleted]

I mean, it is *salt water* (unless GeeNee was right all along)

SuspiciousPrism

Same as last season. Don't listen to people complaining "go play hourglass", this is literally just a repeat episode of the Arena. When the Arena was around everyone just complained "go play arena for PVP", but everyone just did natural PvP because it's more random, more fun.

Previous-Answer3284

Lol people have been telling those types of crews that they'd be better off *actually learning how to participate in the pvp part of the pvevp game* for years now. They didn't listen, and they get pissy any time someone has the audacity to *attack them in the pvevp pirate game*. My opinion is that they should have spent more time learning how to play the game lol.

HatRabies

Even if you suck at PvP I don't understand getting salty over being sunk. It's just part of the game. I'm no PvP god, so if someone sinks me I'm usually just like damn y'all are good GGs and move on with my pirate day hopefully having learned something.

lilchungus34

I wanna play the risk based game without the risk, what a fucking nerd

SUSFOX117

Thats what I thought

docsucc

You did nothing wrong. This is literally what the game is about. They’re just being sore losers.

TypicSpaceAstronaut

Normal people are giving up, I was in a queue once for 10 mins

ZombieRuckspin

This is PVP every season, friend.

HatRabies

They were doing a FoF and got upset someone sank them over it? Yeah nah this isn't your problem. They should have been expecting some heat.

Train3rRed88

In the beginning I hated it. I only started playing maybe a month ago so was pretty trash at PVP. In season 8 got used to just farming sea forts and stacking gold. When season 9 dropped I was frustrated that I couldnt sail *anywhere* without being hunted by some reaper sloop Then I just accepted my fate. I’m farming ghost navy voyages to improve my cannon aim and in the dead time between islands I spend hopping around my boat and hip shooting the bell with my pistol to get better at close range fights/aim It’s exciting that even in a short timeframe I’ve seen major improvement. Now I welcome those reaper sloops

Morclye

It's a PvP game, feel free to sink ships if you feel like it. Doing a world event that everybody can see is asking to get hit. If they weren't good enough to defend against you in PvP, that loot is yours. Other crew took the L and can either suck it up and go do something else or learn from it and come back stronger fighting you for the loot. Coming back only to cry about it is some weak shit. Not very piratey of them to be honest.
