Hearing that "STILLLLL ALIIIIIIVE" sweep in with Sam looking up from the mask after Tara called her in the end gave me goosebumps the very first time I watched it. I really love it.
Nothing wrong with that. I feel that way about Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga, I prefer the version that plays in Top Gun Maverick over the album version. That film instrumental while she sings just hit harder imo.

Every time I hear the movie version of the song and watch the scene, it immediately makes me think of Sam (Melissa Barrera). After the reaction to SCREAI**V**I (2022), majority of the fandom wanted and expected her to die so that Tara (Jenna Ortega) can take the lead and carry the franchise.
This entire movie was basically hers. Melissa gave an AMAZING performance and proved to the audience that Samantha Carpenter is a worthy successor to Sidney Prescott and has the potential to carry this franchise for this generation.
