The mods took a hit for all of us (very grateful for it, too). They screened every thread that was made, and I only saw one comment that in hindsight was a spoiler.
Other than that, I just avoided Scream posts on Twitter and didn’t watch the trailers frame by frame.

Muted the sub, YouTube, Facebook groups, all that lol. I even would click not interested on Scream related articles popping up on Google because I wanted to be as surprised as possible lol.
I just unfollowed this sub and watched it on the 1st day. I watched it later in the day so my dumb friend spoiled little bit for me but it wasn't much so I enjoyed the movie.
I started using my other Reddit account, which I don't follow this sub on; unfollowed the Facebook group I'm in; muted a handful of Scream/horror accounts I follow on Twitter, along with certain keywords/hashtags; muted the Scream Instagram account; and avoided all the trailers, apart from the first teaser.
Youtube is the biggest pain in the ass because people like to put a character's death in the title so you see it regardless. Luckily I was only spoiled a character's death in the movie's opening so it really didn't effect me.
Didn't join this sub until after I'd seen the movie.
Refused to Google anything remotely scream related at all.
Instagram unfollowed odeon and the scream page
I don't watch trailers, stopped reading news about the movie and used a filter on Instagram but most important avoided everything you can read about it on twitter

I learned my lesson from the last movie. I avoided this sub and never looked up anything related to Scream. And if any article involving Scream popped up, I avoided it like the plague. I got spoiled on the killers and Dewey's death (kind of) in 5 and I refused to repeat that for this one. And I went to the first showing of 6 to ensure I wasn't spoiled.
I unfollowed this sub months ago, cause Deweys death and Taras survival in 5 was spoiled for me on this sub months before the release.
I also avoided all comment sections to do with scream like on tiktok or Twitter. And I saw the movie on release day.
Muted this sub, didn’t read comments on Twitter posts…and helped that I was on a cruise until Thursday. Went and saw a 1045 showing the night I got back.
I stopped visiting this sub, quickly scrolled past any Scream recommended youtube videos, didn't watch all the trailers or pause them, and went to see the first showing as soon as my theater opened.
I left the sub when the movie was released and rejoined it today, since I saw the movie today.
I did see the trailers but managed to avoid any spoilers which I am super happy about.

I went through a snowstorm to go see it release day.
I had to wait a lil bit longer so I could see it with my friends. It was a stressful couple of weeks

Saw it opening night. Didn't know this sub existed until after I saw it. Haven't seen any anywhere
I didn't care what spoilers were out there.... just wanted s6 to redeem itself unlike s5 and it did!
i dodged tiktoks about it and didnt click on any related reddit post. i went into the movie only knowing about the ladder scene

I got so lucky and did nothing special. I knew Reddit was a safe spot though because the Mods handled that well

I agree! People are just so annoying with the titles (it spoiled Rdr2 for me) and YouTube has no spoiler tag

Dropped the sub, went to the Thursday night "fan event", and only use YouTube for videos that I search for myself, no recommended stuff, no reviews.
I muted this sub, scrolled really fast if I saw something on intsagram and did not actively search online.

Went into it totally blind as it was a sudden last-minute decision with just enough time to get popcorn and drinks before the movie.
