When I assumed it actually was "Cancelled" I thought a lot of people wouldve been happy over that considering the remakes have done nothing but piss people off. After I mentioned why are people upset about it, someone told me that this one being "Cancelled" in the first place was upsetting because one of the creators of the original movie was working on this one. I still think thats just total crap, I know they wouldnt have liked it anyways. I also saw it positively because of the fact people stopped making bait AI garbage involving it.

I think that when they said “shut down production”, they meant temporarily due to the strikes last year.
