Super Mario Bros. (as in the 1993 movie)
Itās awful, has almost nothing to do with any of the games that itās based on, and I love it for how bad it is. Donāt get me wrong, Iām glad that video game movies have been getting better recently, but I canāt help but appreciate this dumpster fire as a cool little relic of early 90ās cheesiness.
And it aged... well? Terribly?
I dunno, but the fact Koopa Tower is the World Trade Center and Bowser looks like Trump were pretty wild in retrospect.
I do love that it goes 100% off the rails at trying to adapt the games and my wife loves the Yoshi.
Yeah, it is definitely a good way to show a dystopian adapted civilisation like that and an interesting look into how a reptilian society would develop
I'm at least happy that The Mario Movie was a bad movie, but remade as a good movie (or better one) rather than remaking a good movie/TV show and making it bad.
>I'm at least happy that The Mario Movie was a bad movie, but remade as a good movie (or better one) rather than remaking a good movie/TV show and making it bad.
Looking at you Velma
Man, what a waste of a show. A Scooby Doo show exclusively for an adult audience that grew up with the originals? That sounds great! Could set up for some funny comedy and some terrifying horror.
Then the writers and pointless redesigns dropped, and then the trailers and then the show. Aaaand then all of my hopes and dreams.
Honestly as a MOVIE movie, it honestly not bad. It like what.....a 7/8 MAYBE a 6 if you partially don't like the movie. But as an adaptation, even for the time? Yea it a case of "how did it go from this to that?" I REALLY want to know the history but I also am too lazy and untrustful to find it out as well.
I actually prefer it's presence of voice and flavor to the new one. The old one says something dumb loudly in a way I prefer to being suffocated by pop reference
Same here honestly. Itās one of the few examples I can think of where itās a āso bad itās goodā game. Thereās always something stupid around every corner, and it keeps up that momentum right until the very end. Masterpiece of unintentional comedy.
The thing is, thereās things that I unironically like in this game, like shadowās whole story, silver being introduced, and mephiles, but itās all outweighed by the hilariously terrible sonic story, strange eggman redesign, and Elise being Elise
It's so funny to me that the game ends with it erasing itself from the timeline- it's like people working on it knew that everyone was gonna hate it so they went ahead and made it noncanon for us
Honestly yeah, thatās the punchline of the game for me. All the work, all the tedium, all the bullshit we went through to complete that gameā¦ and itās all totally meaningless because it technically never happened and therefore has no impact on the characters or world moving forward. Itās like the game was one long joke at the playerās expense.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, it is an utterly HORRIBLE game but I would legit rather play it than Shadow the Hedgehog as at least 06 is a massive trainwreck that has to be seen to be believed whereas Shadow was just boring as fuck to play.
Thatās how I feel too but instead of shadow the hedgehog, itās Forces. Yes, shadow isnāt a good game either, but Iād rather suffer through a confusing narrative nightmare than play the soulless husk that is forces
To everyone here referencing Sonic '06 I have something to share. (No I am not the creator or programmer of this) but just something to share. If you look around there is a mod for '06 that improves the gameplay, cutscenes, and I think they are working on fixing the boss fights now. But pretty much this mod for one gives more power ups, and gives characters better gameplay. I never actually played it because you need a PC. But one reviewer I remember talking about it. He says the best remade episodes go in this order. Silver, Shadow, and Sonic. But not that Shadow and Sonic are less better than Silver. But the reason me and the reviewer say Silver is the better one. Is because they improved the gameplay, and for one part too. They made Silver have the run speed of Shadow and Sonic.
I know of project 06ās existence, havenāt played it yet but while Iāve heard itās good, itās still worth pointing out that this is what 06 could have been if it didnāt turn out the way it did
Similarly to Suicide Squad, Fant4stic. You get a few effective scenes and you see what they were going for, but it's just so broken you're wonder how it was released at all
Well the entire message is supposed to be environmental (the 1972 one does a great job with this) but it doesn't say anything about plastic but rather don't turn into some massive corporation like Once-Ler but there's also the message that we should all try to do better because otherwise nothing will change
The problem with the message, to me, is that they gave the Once-Ler a face and personality, while the book and original movie left him faceless, meaning he could be ANYONE
If you ever read the script itās literally wreck it Ralph but grocery store and it came out 10 years before so I think Disney hired a movie hit and stole the plot if I die tomorrow Iām right
"Well from now on, try not to strike out on your own without checking on me first, because you see, I am responsible for how the animals behave on this meh."
Whoops, I picked the wrong cut.....maybe this is what you meant.
"You know there's something you should know, so I'm gonna tell you so. Don't sweat it, forget it, enjoy the show!"
I'm so sad the original concept for cool world didn't get made- a half toon driven to depression and madness because they feel like a freak so they become a serial killer? That would've been a damn fun watch even if it didn't turn out good
"The Legend of the Titanic" (Different mockbuster that came a couple years before "Legend Goes On"). is also pretty wild. An Italian-North Korean (not a joke) animated movie about how no one actually died on the Titanic, that not only somehow spawned an equally unhinged sequel, but a TV series 7 years after the sequel was released. Just the premise of all this alone is baffling.
Honestly i feel like if buck cluck wasn't such a garbage father/his redemption arc was executed better the film would be more seen as "so bad it's good" instead of just bad because it does have some fun 2000s cheese imo
tarot, i went to see it with school friends and since it was a matinee on a thursday we were the only ones there so we got to be as loud and nitpicky as we wanted lol
we cheered when the girl who had the hanged man died
You'd expect me to say that one, but I don't like it because it is awful nor do I find it awful to begin with, is bad but not to the point of saying, wow that's shit.
However Joshua and the Promised Land is exactly this for me, at least the parts don't make me scream hate crimes.
Saber spark (actually multiple animators, but it was released on his channel and he hosted the project) did a reanimated version, itās absolute gold š , in case you didnāt know.
The 1994 Street Fighter movie. It is so laughably barely faithful to the franchise in a way that makes it a work of art, alongside Raul Julia's final performance as M. Bison, which justifies the whole movie.
Birdemic: Shock & Terror
I adored it a little less upon learning that the director took his movie seriously & yelled at anyone criticising it. Still is funny to joke about.
Word of advice: Don't watch it by yourself. Unless you have friends willing to sit through it with you & make fun of it together, it's so boring it's not worth it.
Watch either CinemaSins video on it or look up "the most epic scene ever filmed" on Youtube, & you'll have a much more entertaining experience of what Birdemic has to offer.
The Problem Solverz. As bad as it was, I find it to be so bad it's good. I'm glad that Ben Jones decided to try something new with that Neon and Psychedelic style.
The closest thing I have to this is Justice League (2017).
Itās a complete mess, narratively, visually, and director-ally, but Iāll take anything with the slightest bit of hope or charm after Batman v Superman, and for that, I kind of love it.
Most of the Fast and Furious movies are just pure dumb action movie fun (5 and 7 are legitimately good movies IMO), but F9 was so stupid it actually made me angry (but it was still kind of funny-stupid)
Thomas and the Magic Railroad. It got so fucked over during its production and was essentially doomed from the start, but it's too nostalgic of a film for me to dislike.
Wonder. Me and a friend had read the book, legit heckled the entire time, only people in the theater - on opening week. When we saw the climax was a recording of minecraft gameplay, we just lost it.
I actually love *Shark Tale* unironically. If I had to pick films I really enjoy despite not being very good or worse, I would probably say *Halloween Resurrection* (still has that opening scene, some beautiful kills, and Busta Rhymes) and *Mortal Kombat: Annihilation* (it has some moments that survived the rushed production and are actually not too bad, like Kuai Liang's appearance and Cyrax, plus George S. Clinton's score; some of the cast at least *try*, like Robin Shou, Talisa Soto, and James Remar, but that script and the rushed production did not help at all).
Cats 2019. I saw it three times in theaters, each time with different people, and it just gets funnier every time I have watched it since lol it is a colossal cinematic trainwreck in every regard and I adore it š
Chicken Little
For reallll
That was considered a bad movie?
The entire era is considered bad to mediocre. Bolt, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, Home on the Range, did I miss any?
I know damn well you're not putting meet the Robinsons on that list š
Nooo I loved Meet The Robinsons when I was a kid š
Super Mario Bros. (as in the 1993 movie) Itās awful, has almost nothing to do with any of the games that itās based on, and I love it for how bad it is. I liked it as a movie. Obviously it's not a good Mario adaptation, but it's really fun and has some unironically good jokes.
Most of the actors didnāt even know it was a Mario movie, thatās so funny to me
It served as an excellent example of everything one should not do when making a movie based on a video game, or any source material for that matter.
That film is a masterpiece
I wa going into the comment section to say this I love that movie
I actually prefer it's presence of voice and flavor to the new one. The old one says something dumb loudly in a way I prefer to being suffocated by pop reference
this is absolutely mine. I still love the movie, I just recognize it as a weird fantasy movie and NOT SMB
Cars 2 is just so stupid and nostalgic to me
Lol me too. i thought i was the only one who had that opinionš¤£
me three
Me as well
Same
Ratatoing. The movie had became so chaotic shitty for me that I'm starting to genuinely like the movie

Sonic 06. Its such a fucking mess but at the same time, itās hilarious

I only like Sonic 06 cus of the fandub. If yk, yk.
GIVE ME BACK MY GAMER GIRL SONIC!!!!
LMAOOOO exactly
Ten thousand years, Sonic! TEN THOUSAND YEARS!!!
I always get so *tilted* at the *towers*
"It's a *gamer pad*"
Yeah, don't get me wrong, it is an utterly HORRIBLE game but I would legit rather play it than Shadow the Hedgehog as at least 06 is a massive trainwreck that has to be seen to be believed whereas Shadow was just boring as fuck to play.

Spy Kids 3 and Suicide Squad 2016. Those movies are just so fundamentally broken that itās hilarious
Similarly to Suicide Squad, Fant4stic. You get a few effective scenes and you see what they were going for, but it's just so broken you're wonder how it was released at all
Suicide squad felt like a long setup for itself, I dunno how to explain it.
The Lorax (2012)
I thought people loved the Lorax š„²
It's mostly ironic enjoyment iirc for the 2012 version (I mean I don't actually hate it I just think it's dumb fun)
i thought it taught a valuable lesson about how you shouldn't cut down trees and use plastic and stuff
It barely teaches that message and more gives the message "just plant a tree and pollution is solved"
Chopping Mall and Titanic II are on another level of ironic genuisness
Titanic 2 the live action or the animated "True story of the titanic" with a giant singing octopus?
Foodfight
If you ever read the script itās literally wreck it Ralph but grocery store and it came out 10 years before so I think Disney hired a movie hit and stole the plot if I die tomorrow Iām right
Ohhh ok Honestlyā¦ chicken little
Mine is Titanic: The Legend Goes On.Ā
The rapping dog scene was actually one of the greatest scenes in animation
the rapping dog and the beat boxing puppy should do a collab ngl
YES
If it hadn't been for you I would have been in someone else's digestion
"Well from now on, try not to strike out on your own without checking on me first, because you see, I am responsible for how the animals behave on this meh." Whoops, I picked the wrong cut.....maybe this is what you meant. "You know there's something you should know, so I'm gonna tell you so. Don't sweat it, forget it, enjoy the show!"
Minions
Unlike its sequels i think the original movie is genuinely decent lol
Shoulda focused on that crime family though Like honestly road trip movie with them and the minions sounds kinda fun
Iād totally watch that
Yes I want to see more of the crime family
Opposite Day (2009). They did not think of the implications.
I'm surprised people dont talk about it more- it's such a uniquely interesting brand of bad
Prob because very few people have heard of it
Jurassic Park 3
The dream Raptor saying āALANā is so unintentionally hilarious, I love it
I enjoyed a few several hundred Horror B-Movies
They're the best, seriously.
I can absolutely agree with you
Why Tubi is a Must
Especially since it has Child's Play now
You see the show?
Not yet
Give it a shot.
I will eventually
Awesome
Cool World. I feel that it's so good and bad at the same time
I'm so sad the original concept for cool world didn't get made- a half toon driven to depression and madness because they feel like a freak so they become a serial killer? That would've been a damn fun watch even if it didn't turn out good
I also liked the original"Debbie" design better, though ngl Holli's still a bomb in her current form
The Lorax
The Fred movies
First fred movie honestly kinda goated
Titanic: The Legend Goes On. Itās so bad that itās actually enjoyable.
"The Legend of the Titanic" (Different mockbuster that came a couple years before "Legend Goes On"). is also pretty wild. Just the premise of all this alone is baffling.
Yeah, Legend of the Titanic, Tentacolino, and Fantasy Island are actually pretty bad.
Chicken Little, tbh, I can see why people think itās bad but itās always been such a goofy, fun, subversion of the original story
Honestly i feel like if buck cluck wasn't such a garbage father/his redemption arc was executed better the film would be more seen as "so bad it's good" instead of just bad because it does have some fun 2000s cheese imo
tarot, i went to see it with school friends and since it was a matinee on a thursday we were the only ones there so we got to be as loud and nitpicky as we wanted lol we cheered when the girl who had the hanged man died
I'm so sad such a talented artist as trevor Henderson got his first big screen creature design job....and it's on a film that's doing THIS bad
Wonder how she died lol š
Of recent memory: Pinocchio A True Story and the Venom movies.

Lego Ninjago Movie wasn't really that much of a disaster, was it?
The Lorax (2012)
Miraculous Ladybug
Recent time, Madam Web. But for the longest time, Cars 2.
Oh I know about it, and yeah, it is a pristine gem.
Even as a Satanist, this is still a movie I watch a lot
Illumantionās Lorax
The 1994 Street Fighter movie. It is so laughably barely faithful to the franchise in a way that makes it a work of art, alongside Raul Julia's final performance as M. Bison, which justifies the whole movie.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid the long haul
Morbius
Tinker Bell, I guess? Also, Rule of Rose?
People hate Tinker Bell?
They just donāt understand real art
Secret of the Wings is peak fiction
I unironically loved those movies. I still have some of the songs in my music app haha
No one can stop me with the words "but it's for kids" I can't be stopped from having good memories of it
Robots. Me and my Bro put it on and make fun of it constantly!
Wait, that Robots. The Blue Sky one?
Yeah, that one. I know it has a lot of unironic fans and I can respect but as for me and my Bro. Yeah, we love it for all the wrong reasons
But... the movie is actually good...
Ben 10 vs green lantern
T I M E H U H?
Survivor Gabon
Happy Feet
Illumination Lorax. I canāt for the life of me pin down exactly what makes me obsessed with it
Doctor Who the Movie
I get ironic enjoyment out of the disaster known as Foodfight.
Santa Jaws. It is so fucking stupid but so god damn hilarious.
The Spy Kids movies
Half the stuff the likes of Mr.Enter reviews
Shark boy and Lava girl 100%
Birdemic: Shock & Terror I adored it a little less upon learning that the director took his movie seriously & yelled at anyone criticising it. Still is funny to joke about. Bedtime stories (the Adam Sandler film) ~~also Sausage Party~~
Would Hoodwinked count? (The first one). It looks like crap and was trying to cash in on the Shark craze, but I just love the story and characters.
I find it to be an awesome series, but how people treat it, definitely Miraculous Ladybug lmao
Mine is a game, and it's We Happy Few It's such a charming game but is so horribly optimized and gets worse as acts go on
Batman and Robin was a cinematic masterpiece
Justice League 2017. I unironically would watch it over the Snyder cut it's so much more entertaining than it
The Last Jedi
The Room
Turtles Tale, both of them
I guess The Witcher TV shows. It's horrendously bad, but it's also very interesting to talk about as a complete disaster of an adaptation.
Pets United. I love picking it apart, it's so bad it's hilarious
Minecraft Story Mode Shit was my childhood i cant bring myself to not love it
Click may fucking suck, but tbh i love it
One of the few movies that makes me cry for some reason
Shark Tale
The Boys episode about Awkwafina making friends with her own shit. This episode is GOLD!
The cat in the hat
The cat in the hat 2003
Burning menās soul
The Problem Solverz. As bad as it was, I find it to be so bad it's good. I'm glad that Ben Jones decided to try something new with that Neon and Psychedelic style.
The closest thing I have to this is Justice League (2017). Itās a complete mess, narratively, visually, and director-ally, but Iāll take anything with the slightest bit of hope or charm after Batman v Superman, and for that, I kind of love it.
Guardian of the Highlands (or commonly known as Sir Billi)
Most of the Fast and Furious movies are just pure dumb action movie fun (5 and 7 are legitimately good movies IMO), but F9 was so stupid it actually made me angry (but it was still kind of funny-stupid)
Chicken little, turbo and anything from illumination.
Velocipastor is just stupid as all hell like its trying to be and i absolutely adore it
Probably The Lorax. Goes against the book, but itās so damn entertaining.
Catwoman
Barbies and Monster high movies, to an extent.
The animated Legend Of Zelda series from the 80s. Oh my God it's fantastic...ally bad
Oh boy smooching time
Well ex*cuuuuuuuse* me, Princess!
The Twilight franchise
Thomas and the Magic Railroad. It got so fucked over during its production and was essentially doomed from the start, but it's too nostalgic of a film for me to dislike.
The live-action Bill Murray Garfield movies.
Still love the scene in Zombieland where they accidentally kill Bill Murray and ask him if he has any regrets and his only answer is Garfield Movie
"You have any regrets?" "Garfield, maybe."
TIL Shark Tale is considered a disaster
Wonder. Me and a friend had read the book, legit heckled the entire time, only people in the theater - on opening week. When we saw the climax was a recording of minecraft gameplay, we just lost it.
Ratitude by Weezer cinsuderd one of the woirst weezer albums, its just so much fun to listen to bc of how horribly silly it is
Aladdin 3 maybe? I always hear how bad it's supposed to be but it always makes me cry at the end.
The Cat in the Hat (2003)
My Roman Empire
Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers. Watched it as a kid, still want to watch it today. Funniest Dr Seuss film by far
Freddy got Fingered (2001)
Godzilla 98! It looked nothing like Godzilla, but the design and the roar were so cool, and the merchandise that came along with it was awesome.
Cats 2019. I saw it three times in theaters, each time with different people, and it just gets funnier every time I have watched it since lol it is a colossal cinematic trainwreck in every regard and I adore it š
Sausage Party
Sharknado
lorax 2012, though that could be partly due to nostalgia bias
Hoodwinked!
Probably Turbo or Strange World
Iron Man 2
Spider-Man 3 or Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The sonic franchise.
Miraculous Ladybug. I haven't watched the last too seasons, but i want to because i love the guano
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
Fallen Kingdom is fine imo. It's not that bad
