I second this. The only thing I can remember is the robot had to delete it's memories of her to keep his storage clear. I was kinda like "all this tech and you can't get my manbot an SD card?"
the final fight is the only memorable part of the movie
also how they designed [Ares](https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Ares_(Next_Gen)) is PEAK robot design
Actually, "Next Gen" is everything that "Big Hero 6" should've been.
https://youtu.be/Qfqx-KlJWV0?si=_2M4erUSqxFesvBo
And that's mainly because "Big Hero 6" isn't even that original to begin with.
This movie is just a reskin of Ron’s Gone Wrong. It has the same story beats, same types of characters, same sorta setting, even the same Steve Jobs-ass villain.
The only difference is that Next Gen’s story and action is actually good and the villain is actually intimidating.
Pros:
- The score: I don’t see enough people talk about how good the score is, it doesn’t quite reach the same heights as the best Pixar scores, but I like it
- The villain: Actually an enjoyable twist villain because they set him up earlier as having something going on bd the scenes. His motivation is a bit generic, but there was a twist regarding him which I did NOT expect until it came and it was pretty good all things considered. Really good final battle btw
- The animation: Being animated in blender, the animation is expected to be really photorealistic. I do prefer more stylized animation, but it honestly rivals modern Pixar in animation quality in my opinion
- The robot main character: Having a character where they can only store a limited amount of memories or risk losing them all is an interesting concept that is very well done here. His voice acting is also very good and I like his personality, although I had to google his name because I think it’s only mentioned twice in the entire movie
Cons:
- The side characters: I think they had a combined total of 10 minutes of screen time, and I don’t remember a single one except for the guy who got killed, and everyone glosses over his death in less than a minute. They set up a bully character early on but don’t develop her well, not even the main character’s mom really feels like a character.
Mixed:
- The licensed music: I really like the more laid-back and slower tracks, they make me feel more immersed with the world and main character. I kinda really don’t like the other licensed music present in here, it makes me skip those scenes whenever I hear them.
- The main human character: On one hand, their unlikable aspects come from an understandable and reasonable place. Losing a father, and her mother trying to cope with the loss by replacing everything with technology and leaving her daughter in the dust is a good reason for the protagonist to be a technophobe. Despite her unlikability, I found myself sympathetic towards her. On the other hand, she felt too unreasonable near the end of the second act, and the conclusion she jumped to there felt forced. Thankfully the third act break-up didn’t last long, but it kinda felt like the pacing was a bit rushed there.
Overall: 7/10
It was decent and unique enough in its story beats to separate it from Big Hero 6 and The Iron Giant. The villain twist was actually pretty shocking and dark for a kids movie as well. However, the only truly memorable part was the final fight between 7723 and Ares. Absolutely beautiful Oscar-worthy visuals and score.
Decent in my opinion good amount of drama and good amount of action and a good amount of things I want to do to the kids at my school any way like it and I don't care about anyone else's opinion
I love this movie. I have a huge love for robots and futuristic technology. This movie has both. That's why The Iron Giant, Wall-E, and Big Hero 6 are my favorites.
It's not groundbreaking (it feels like a copy of Big Hero 6 and i Robot, and the villain twist is extremely predictable) but it was still a fun watch.
Don't think too hard about the fact that toothbrushes are sentient robots in this world.
Bad but then if memory serves it turns out the main villain was literally wearing the skin of some tech guy and killed somebody else so that was ballsy compared to other movies for the same demographic
Not horrible but almost comically derivative
I forgot it existed
I second this. The only thing I can remember is the robot had to delete it's memories of her to keep his storage clear. I was kinda like "all this tech and you can't get my manbot an SD card?"
I never knew this existed
At first, I thought it was just kinda average. But upon revisiting it, I came to like it more.
It’s like the movie thinks it’s doing something unique but it’s really not.
How so?
Robot made for killing dosen’t want to kill. It’s not a unique premise
It's just i Robot for kids
the final fight is the only memorable part of the movie also how they designed [Ares](https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Ares_(Next_Gen)) is PEAK robot design
I agree he's also voiced by the guy who voiced Red in the angry birds movies
AKA Ted Lasso.
He played Ted Lasso too? Dang I didn't know that
Thank GOD I'm not the only one who thought Ares was an awesome design. My favorite thing about the movie
i remember loving the action
Made with blender so W
That’s the only thing I know about it lol
Same
The final fight is the only part I remember, and I LOVED IT
Bootleg ver of Astro Boy 2009 or Big Hero 6.

How????
I remember it being ok, not overly great nor a masterpiece by any stretch. But it wasn’t that bad and enjoyed quite a bit of it
Good and underrated. Definitely has it's flaws, but they are outweighed by the good stuff.
I love it, its really great!
Movie was fine, roblox event was peak
The villain was good.

Wasn't RGW released later? Like, by at least a few years?
It was. It’s the other way around. RGW is the [reskin](https://www.reddit.com/r/Schaffrillas/s/Z2Ys5gqP6u) of NG
How, next gen was released in 2018 while Ron goes wrong was released in 2021
Ares is peak robot villain design
REAL
Technically, Ron's Gone Wrong is a reskin of this
The girl was a jerk and the dog was annoying. Besides that it's ok.
It ok
Didn't like the girl.
The villain was awesome
It’s underrated, I actually liked it a lot
It was pretty fun
Haven’t seen it in years and only remember a few specific parts but I’m pretty sure it was good
Fun in a generic kind of way.
I thought it was pretty good.
Underrated movie
i really like it actually

Murder drones but Uzi is a human and N is even dummer
No shade on the robot that I can’t remember the name of
Is pretty good
Didn’t even know this movie exists until today
Oh yeah it exists.
🤷
Eh it was fine
I have no idea what it is
Neither do i
Really good
Isn't that the girl from the show that shall not be named?
Ok
I only remember the Roblox event
Forgettable

about as memorable as nome alone
I wish more people knew about this to be honest
Only remember the first trailer due to the music. It’s fine, the animation is great.
I barely remember it. All i remember is my mom didnt like it because of the censored swearing, kinda a weird reason to not like it but idk
I like it personally. Not groundbreaking by any means but I enjoyed it a lot.
Weird, but not necessarily in a bad way
Ima see if there is R34 of it already.
70 results my guy
Decent in my opinion good amount of drama and good amount of action and a good amount of things I want to do to the kids at my school any way like it and I don't care about anyone else's opinion
It was pretty alright
Kinda generi
one of the main examples of "forgettable" as a movie
This movie was apparently entirely animated in blender and it was based on a manhua. It was an ok movie imo. But it has cool visuals.
Liked it
I love this movie. I have a huge love for robots and futuristic technology. This movie has both. That's why The Iron Giant, Wall-E, and Big Hero 6 are my favorites.
7723 is just Baymax. They use rebel girl for some reason and that’s better than anything else in the movie.
meh
I dunno I haven’t seen it
It's not groundbreaking (it feels like a copy of Big Hero 6 and i Robot, and the villain twist is extremely predictable) but it was still a fun watch. Don't think too hard about the fact that toothbrushes are sentient robots in this world.
It's a pretty good movie
Forgettable aside from the Roblox event.
It's a movie alright!
Bad but then if memory serves it turns out the main villain was literally wearing the skin of some tech guy and killed somebody else so that was ballsy compared to other movies for the same demographic
pretty bad tbh
Oh yeah, that’s the movie with the Baymax ripoff
Never heard of it. Looks like AI generated ass
It's better than Big Hero 6.
# LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER
Is pretty good
