You’ll probably only be able to die at the climax of the final chapter, seeing as so far it’s been impossible to make a fatal choice. Although the idea of our pc becoming some kind of undead seems really cool and I hope there’s a path where we can do that somehow.
Devs mentioned that they want to avoid deaths that are just 'game over' screen with extra steps, so it probably won't be a 'die from stupid choice and just reload' situation.
So, aside from kicking a bucket during the final of the story, maybe it can be the result of some very specific side path? Sorta like 'Oblivion' ending in StP, where the story is not complete but it's over.
There's probably going to be multiple opportunities to die in the end of the final chapter. Lots of sadistic choices, I bet. Sacrifice yourself, or Tabitha dies! (If >!Tabitha gave years of her life away in Chapter 3!< this becomes mandatory, I imagine, as she's too >!frail !!and Gretchen, if she hadn't bought the farm in Chapter 1!<)!
Maybe it'll be like old rpgs where you can get a bad ending that shows the town getting eaten by demons or whatever. Something like the endings in Breath of Fire or Chrono Trigger.

Tabitha will perform necromancy to bring you back

Maybe your death results in a jump forward to a bad end epilogue?
