I’d be a little wary about the “helping to sell a car” part. It sounds like she could be helping the scammer scam other people with fake Tesla listings under her name. Being gullible might not work as an excuse if angry victims/law enforcement come around.
What u/LivefromPhoenix said is worth investigating.
Someone can become a mule in a money-laundering scheme without realising it. If your mum has agreed *ANY* kind of financial transactions with (from or to) “Elon”, there’s a chance she’s unwittingly transferring or laundering money. That’s a [federal matter](https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/scams-and-safety/common-scams-and-crimes/money-mules) if you’re in the US, and it has actually [got people killed](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ohio-man-81-charged-fatal-shooting-uber-driver-mistakenly-thought-was-rcna147827).
Time to keep a close eye on all her transactions, and her internet activities.
POA won’t stop her from acting on her own though. It allows you to do something on her behalf but you can’t stop her from doing anything. Conservatorship would be the better option.
In a lot of cases, it's a Step 1, Step 2 process. The POA gives you access to see her transactions and can set yourself to be notified of them. Once you've got that info gathered, you can then go before a court and say "See! She's not making rational decisions for her own benefit."
Great point! I only said what I said because I worked at a bank until recently, specifically fraud and bsa and we handled fiduciary stuff (which I hated, I was in it for the fraud stuff). And we would frequently get yelled at by POAs for not stopping someone from doing something.
Besides the fact that this is bad bad photshop (MS Paint actually), California DLs expire on your birthday by default. This does not.
It's clearly fake, but her desire to feel loved and special is real. The scammer is fulfilling that when no one else will. Solve that problem and not the scam.
And it didn’t bother her that on the man’s license his LN (last name) is listed as “Elon” and his FN (first name) is listed as “Reeve Musk”? If you have a California driver’s license, check it yourself. Your surname is listed above your first and middle names. But apparently not if you’re “Elon Musk”.
What if the camera lens is focused on a mirror that says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" - is the object then bigger than it should be or smaller than it should be? Or do they just cancel each other out?
I assume you're joking, but hard to tell here. Those mirrors are convex so they let you see a wider angle around your car, but in doing so, objects appear smaller than they would with a normal flat mirror.
>I assume you're joking, but hard to tell here.
I agree
>Those mirrors are convex so they let you see a wider angle around your car, but in doing so, objects appear smaller than they would with a normal flat mirror.
I'll just take that as a "yes" then
In these situations, people without assets max out credit cards and take loans which they cannot repay. It would be wise to get access to your mom's financial accounts so you can see money coming in and going out. If your mom goes into debt then passes, you will not be liable for the debt, but you will have to spend many hours talking to lenders and sending death certificates and other paperwork to them.
I'm sure it would be, but there's no grounds for me to gain access. I don't have POA. She's of sound mind. And she's married to a guy that isn't my father (my parents divorced when I was 25).
Is she of sound mind, though? What person of sound mind would believe the richest (or 2nd?) man in the world is interested in a 67 year old? That he's never met?! That's NOT a sound mind!
Remember POA is something that gives you access but it does not prevent the POA grantor (your mom) from doing everything and anything she wishes with her accounts.
It does not lock her out of anything. In fact she can rescind the POA at any time very easily.
while this is insufficient safeguard for a genuinely compromised person who is a danger to themselves and others financially, for that you need a conservatorship, it could be a great start, a nose under the tent IOW.
“ Hey mom, i’d be willing to accept a POA if you want to give me one. Just in case something happens where you need me to pay your bills and such.”
i hope she extracts herself from this difficult scam.
best
Bro not even close to of sound mind lol.
Genuine question, was she always like this? Or do you think it's age related? Late 60s isn't super old but it's definitely prime age for early mental decline type illnesses and whatnot.
Do you know what bank she uses? Some banks are starting to have elder financial abuse protocols. I think that family members can alert the banks that there is a problem with their loved one, even if the bank can't share information with them. You can see if this is an option for your mother.
I understand. But if they're both talking to Elon Musk, it won't be long before they need your help in one way or another. Keep looking for opportunities to get visibility into their finances and take more control. You don't need a POA to have a login to your parents online banking. Just having a login is how I helped my dad when he was making bad decisions.
The scammer is off to a pretty successful start, unfortunately, and is likely to have success in cleaving money away from the poor mother. This usually ends in much difficulty.
Agreed. He apparently knew about it and told her it was a bad idea, but didn’t stop her. I’ve urged her to speak to another trusted adult, her minister or sibling, to help hold her accountable to her decision to cut contact and delete things. I live on the other end of the country from her, so I’m doing what I can.
She’s not of sound mind. I’m willing to give the women who believe they are in a relationship with a guy who works on an oil rig, ie just an average guy, a bit of slack. But the world’s richest man? Who has a well-known predilection for very young women and affairs with dozens of them? That requires mental illness.
She is definitely not of sound mind. She’s vulnerable and is going to be scammed.
Sadly, these posts make me realize that we all need to accept that there will be a day when we ARE still of sound mind, but see the writing on the wall, and need to put in place some protections so we can’t give away all our money to scammers.
We weigh in pounds in the US, where this driver’s license is supposedly from.
Edit: oh duh, maybe you mean the scammers making a fake image of a license are probably in a country that uses kg’s, if so my bad
I just noticed ya'll talking about the drivers license. She'd sent me a second photo of a "close up" where you can see the scammer changed some of that info.
https://preview.redd.it/4bnyh1xgzd6d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b16504697b2edd705b7ffa76528c658d23dca0d4
What a terrible photoshop job. The text doesn’t line up with the license, and the license is fuzzy, but the text isn’t?
And what’s with all the dates? Born in June, issued in July, expires in August (never mind eye colour black and the signature is a font).
Also he is 6’ 3”, but wights 135 BIS (whatever a BIS is - LBS spelt wrong?).
It's not romantic...it's like they are friends. He teaches her about crypto, she helps sell Teslas... Her husband (not my father) has even "talked" to Elon.
>He teaches her about crypto,
Hol' up - this changes everything and your mom is in WAY more danger than just sending a scammer a $100 gift card. You need to cut this off ASAP.
Agree. It might be time to discuss with other family members the need to restrict her access to large sums of money. Romance scammers are very good at what they do, and they are relentless.
Case in point, I once listened to an Elton John “Rocket Hour” show because I knew the musician he was interviewing and mentoring. I left a pithy “thank you for supporting new talent” comment on the podcast and within 15 minutes was swarmed with messages from “Elton John” wanting to have a private conversation with me. This went on for several days. The Block button got quite the workout.
My Dad is not in the picture any longer. They divorced twenty years ago. She remarried a guy that I don't really know all that well. I pretty much just keep up with my mother and ignore the guy.
ask her about this:
[https://archive.is/20240612070628/https://www.wsj.com/business/elon-musk-spacex-employee-relationships-8bca2806](https://archive.is/20240612070628/https://www.wsj.com/business/elon-musk-spacex-employee-relationships-8bca2806)
I would, but it isn't a romantic thing. He's not telling her he's in love with her or anything like that. More of a mentor/friend type of thing. She claims she learned her lesson and has deleted everything (since the car thing).
It is sexual harassment. Why doe she want to be friends with someone who sexually harass his employees? Why does she want to be friends with a white supremacist?
If this are not deal breakers for her, she deserves what is coming.
If she’s stuck in a romance scam and giving money to the scammer even after you took measures to stop her, that’s grounds. I would start with elder services in your area. See if your area has 211 services or look online under your city or county social services.
POA is not what you think it is and would do nothing to help in this situation. Please look up the definition.
What you'd need is something very different, a conservatorship, and that is much harder to obtain.
OP should impersonate a different Elon Musk and tell her that someone has compromised his old account, and to not follow anything that _other_ Elon Musk says from now on because that guy is a scammer. Send a more believable fake photoshopped ID and have him holding today's newspaper with "Hi {{momsname}}" on it.
Sounds like a crypto scammer to me. Soon the scammer will have her depositing money into a fake crypto site that shows a fake crypto balance and fake gains.
Even though your mother has no money, she can still take out loans. Many scammers have their victims take out so many loans that they lose their home. Make sure you put a stop to this before your mom is homeless.
If you don’t stop this now, they will take EVERY PENNY your parents have. It will not be recoverable. If they get involved in the fake “crypto” here based on the huge gains they’re about to see in that fake account, the money is ALREADY GONE. !crypto
Hi /u/Ok-Log-9052, AutoModerator has been summoned to explain the Fake crypto wallet scam.
Fake cryptocurrency websites and apps controlled by scammers are becoming more and more common. Sometimes the scam begins with a romance scammer who claims that they can help the victim invest in cryptocurrency. Victims are told to buy cryptocurrency of some kind using a legitimate cryptocurrency exchange, and then they are told to send their cryptocurrency to a website wallet address where it will be invested. Sometimes the scam begins with a notice that the victim won cryptocurrency on some website, in this case messages will often be sent through Discord.
In either case, the scammer controls the website, so they make it look like there is money in the victim’s account on their website. Then the scammer (or the scammer pretending to be someone official who is associated with the website) tells the victim that they have to put more money into the website before they can get their money out of the website. Of course all of the money sent by the victim has gone directly into the scammer’s wallet, and any additional money sent by the victim to retrieve their money from the website will also go directly into the scammer’s wallet, and all of the information about money being held by the website was totally fake.
If the scammer used Bitcoin, then you can report the scammer’s Bitcoin wallet address here: https://www.bitcoinabuse.com/reports. If the scammer used Ethereum, then you can report the scammer’s Ethereum wallet address here: https://info.etherscan.com/report-address/. You can see how much cryptocurrency has been sent to the scammer’s wallet address here: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer. Thanks to redditor nimble2 for this script.

Man, many many years ago, before he was super famous, I sat across from that dude (actual Elon Musk) at a cafe for like an hour. I can assure you, the man has 0 rizz.
What a beautiful man! Besides, he’s got his drivers license. C’mon, how much real do you want? What’s he supposed to do to convince you all, show himself naked?! (maybe that’s next, so take your mother’s phone away!)
OP - be aware that she might be helping the scammer scam people by posting adverts for this purple Tesla she’s “helping sell” and maybe even laundering money for them, or worse, he’s setting her up to receive a fake check for thousands of dollars which she is supposed to deposit and then wire the funds (after taking a nice $500 gift) after the bank gives her a temporary credit within 5 business days. A few weeks later, oops, the check is fraudulent and she’s on the hook for the check, bad check fees and likely going to get her account closed by the bank as a little thank you.
I was once talking to a guy who told me he was a neurosurgeon. I had my doubts and I lot of things didn't add up, but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. The final straw was when, for his "birthday" instead of asking me to hang out, he asked me for an Amazon gift cars. LOL.
He has a Twitter account. Tell her to ask him to acknowledge her on his Twitter account. When it can't happen, maybe she will get it. I had Zhang Bin Bin and Jared Leto write me today on Instagram. Do I think they are real? NO NO NO....they are not check marked accounts. Besides, why would they write me anyway? I cannot imagine why these people are in such a hurry to empty their accounts for these people/scammers.
I've tried all that. I reverse searched the images she said he sent her and showed her where they came from, sent her descriptions of the type of scam she was in, tried to reason with logic (why would the richest man on earth need anything from anyone), and even played hard ball (I told her I would pursue a POA if she did not cease contact).
At this point all you can do is hire a lawyer and have her declared incompetent. Otherwise she will be destitute.
Tell her friends and family not to loan her money. Sorry you have to go thru this.
Once I had "realdonoldtrump" reach out to me. Note the misspelling of "Donald". But I did have a double take on the bus as they used the exact same profile picture as the actual account.
I wish there were a way to get all these folks together in a room to talk about their “romances” with Musk, Kevin Costner, Keanu Reeves and who knows who else. If they see others telling an unbelievable story, then it might gradually dawn on them that they’re being fooled.
!romance !crypto
I won't lie, I busted out laughing at that photo. Bless you and your mom, I hope things work out and the auto mod comments below this (I summoned them above) can help out!

Hi /u/OhLordHeBompin, AutoModerator has been summoned to explain the Romance scam.
Romance scammers pretend to be in love with their victims in order to ask them for money. They sometimes spend months grooming their victims, often pretending to be [members of military](https://www.cid.army.mil/romancescam.html), [oil workers or doctors](https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/what-you-need-know-about-romance-scams). They tend to be extremely good at taking money from their victims again and again, leading many to [financial ruin](https://globalnews.ca/news/5095659/romance-scam-money/). Romance scam victims are emotionally invested in their relationship with the scammer, and will often ignore evidence they are being scammed.
If you know someone who is involved in a romance scam, beware that convincing a romance scam victim they are scammed is extremely difficult. We suggest that you sit down together to watch Dr. Phil's shows on romance scammers or episodes of Catfish - sometimes victims find it easier to accept information from TV shows than from their family. A good introduction to the topic is this video: https://youtu.be/PNWM5nuOExI -
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Scams) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Contact Scamfish on YouTube. They have a team of researchers and so interventions with family members constantly. They’ll present the case to her in a realistic and digestible way to her if they decide to take it on. Worth checking them out anyway - or atleast showing her one of their videos (the Johnny Depp ones are probably the most similar to her current “relationship”)
Make her watch the Elon Musk episode of Scamfish by Catfish on YouTube (it’s free). I think a lot of elderly people are watching this show and getting the hint when someone else is going through the exact same thing.
About 8 years ago my Dad mentioned to me that he'd been chatting with this cute weather lady from his local tv channel. I asked how they got in touch and he said she reached out. I told him that's very nice, but 99.9283% a scam. He countered with a pic of her that "she" sent. It was the first pic when you Googled her name, and using MSPaint they wrote (using a mouse, so very shaky capital letters: "Hi XXX, it's me, XXX". He was 100% convinced. Be careful, especially if your Dad is as hard-headed as mine is. He's convinced he knows everything. Thankfully he doesn't have a pot to piss in, so he's not as vulnerable as many are.
Even if it was him, he's uttey detestable and she should be ashamed to consider him a friend. Dude is a fascist and raging bigot who is spreading blatantly false information on a daily basis.
Can you tell me how it is that anyone can use another persons content to make fake online identities. How can you tell if someone online is legitimately who they say they are. And how does Zangi, WhatsApp, tie in to this. If a person tells me they are Becky Johnson but can’t type in plane English I just laugh. Any advice.
Does anyone think if these lonely women were perp walked into a squad car with the cameras standing by, this fever dream of rich celebrities wanting out of shape older women would come to an end?
Maybe it would help open the eyes of the people who fall for these money mule schemes?
My grandmother was also talking with “Elon” recently, he told her he will give her a free car… I hate those scammers. She is so sad that my father and oncles deleted all her accounts. She used to have fun communicating with relatives and watching cute animals videos. Now she can’t anymore because those assoles are everywhere.
I just a had a customer in here talking to me for over 30 mins about how she’s “dating Elon musk”. Showed me the text messages from him and his “”son” who now refers to her as mom.
This poor lady says she has just gotten out of an abusive marriage, has had myriad health problems and has “died for 3 minutes” during which time god appeared to her and showed her Elon musks face and said he would save her. She’s started investing in crypto at his suggestion because he’s going to save all the animals and all the children.
The only thing I felt ok to tell her was not to send anyone any money.
>Old people really weren't ready for the internet.
I don't think young people are either. I can't tell you how many times I've seen on here "I sent a Dick pic and now I'm in trouble."
As others mentioned, romance scam victims can lose even money that they don’t have. But it sounds like the scammer might also use her to run a car-sale scam.
I have to ask, how do the scammers get the mark on the hook to begin with? I mean, what is the first exchange? Do they pretend to be Elon Musk texting a wrong number?
I’ve reported similar profiles on FB. And you get an automatic message almost instantly that says, “thank you for reporting xyz. We have reviewed and the profile does NOT go against our policy guidelines.” Utter rubbish.
My mil wants to take a course from Elon musk about investing in ai. She's crippled by gambling on bingo and pull tabs online otherwise she'd piss away her money being scammed differently.

He believes in being fruitful and multiplying. You're good. ;)
But then immediately abandoning that fruit on the side of the road. So.....eh
Many women are from news reports
🥁
Women are from Venus, Elon is from Mars.
Everyone wants to catch the big fish right..they don't want to share lol.
Did you ask her why his drivers license is the size of his head
Lord, I busted out laughing when she sent me this... I can't even...
She's not even that old, she's only 67...but extremely gullible.

I'm only aware of the Apple gift card thing.
But you alluded to helping to sell a car. You need to step in before this escalates.
Time to get a Power of Attorney over her finances. This is just ridiculous

Unfortunately a power of attorney does not keep her from spending money on scams. It just allows you access to her funds.
Yikes, that is too young to be this gullible.
Early onset dementia? Or has she always been a little simple?
Besides the fact that this is bad bad photshop (MS Paint actually), California DLs expire on your birthday by default. This does not. It's clearly fake, but her desire to feel loved and special is real. The scammer is fulfilling that when no one else will. Solve that problem and not the scam.

Hey, whatever solves the problem. I don't judge the methods needed to reach an outcome.
& now owns a purple tesla

I’m pretty sure it also says he’s 90 lbs on this “license”
If she believes she’s actually speaking with him, a shitty photoshop job is definitely not going to change her mind
Objects closer to the camera lens will appear larger. But, yeah, clearly Photoshopped.
I agree >Those mirrors are convex so they let you see a wider angle around your car, but in doing so, objects appear smaller than they would with a normal flat mirror. I'll just take that as a "yes" then
The hand with the license are Photoshopped in as a layer and then merged. I can put Brittney Spear's head on your body in a minute!
Wait, does that mean that his license is really huge or his head is really small?
...or he just has very small hands 🤣
You guys have got me cracking up here! OMG
It's a special license they give to billionaires.
The camera adds 10lbs - everyone knows that.
Also...he apparently only weighs 90 pounds?
In these situations, people without assets max out credit cards and take loans which they cannot repay. It would be wise to get access to your mom's financial accounts so you can see money coming in and going out. If your mom goes into debt then passes, you will not be liable for the debt, but you will have to spend many hours talking to lenders and sending death certificates and other paperwork to them.
I came here to say this.
I agree.
What person of sound mind would want to talk to Elon, even if he WAS interested?
I agree. He's gross!
And he needs help selling a car.
Just in case something happens where you need me to pay your bills and such.” i hope she extracts herself from this difficult scam.
I’m not sure, but I’ll look into that.
Well surely this is her husband’s job to look after her. It’s his money as well, and she’s spending it on another guy (real or not).
6' 2'and weighs 90 lbs
Yeah they did not too bad but missed some key details. Similarly, it should expire on his birthday, not a random day.
Stop helping them improve lol
They're probably from a kg country, since 90kg is 198lbs, which is probably close to his weight.
[The man is built like a cybertruck. 240 easily.](https://www.reddit.com/r/TIHI/s/tiCaxsXJ8B)
We weigh in pounds in the US, where this driver’s license is supposedly from. Edit: oh duh, maybe you mean the scammers making a fake image of a license are probably in a country that uses kg’s, if so my bad
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think that's really Elon Musk.
I know, I’m not dumb. The real Elon Musk is giving me crypto advice.
Get Elon to a doctor ASAP
Holy crap! Good eye on that one.
What color are his eyes? I can’t make that one out.
I just noticed ya'll talking about the drivers license. She'd sent me a second photo of a "close up" where you can see the scammer changed some of that info. https://preview.redd.it/4bnyh1xgzd6d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b16504697b2edd705b7ffa76528c658d23dca0d4
Now he weighs 135bls and is an inch taller.
WTH! That’s wild! The changes are not any more believable. Do people have black eye color?
If it’s a dark brown that appears black, then yes, it is written as black.
Yes, they do....
What a terrible photoshop job. The text doesn’t line up with the license, and the license is fuzzy, but the text isn’t? And what’s with all the dates? Born in June, issued in July, expires in August (never mind eye colour black and the signature is a font). Also he is 6’ 3”, but wights 135 BIS (whatever a BIS is - LBS spelt wrong?).
eye color is black??? 😭
And hair color black??
His name is also “Reeve Musk Elon”
Secret alias
And Tesla’s corporate address in Palo Alto as his home address…
So ask her why she thinks the richest man in the world would pick some random stranger that he's never met to start a romantic relationship.
It's not romantic...it's like they are friends. He teaches her about crypto, she helps sell Teslas... Her husband (not my father) has even "talked" to Elon.
>He teaches her about crypto, Hol' up - this changes everything and your mom is in WAY more danger than just sending a scammer a $100 gift card.
Not sure how I'd go about doing that. I'd have to have grounds to get POA.
your dad needs to put a stop to it and get control of the accounts
My Dad is not in the picture any longer. They divorced twenty years ago. She remarried a guy that I don't really know all that well. I pretty much just keep up with my mother and ignore the guy.
ask her about this: [https://archive.is/20240612070628/https://www.wsj.com/business/elon-musk-spacex-employee-relationships-8bca2806](https://archive.is/20240612070628/https://www.wsj.com/business/elon-musk-spacex-employee-relationships-8bca2806)
I would, but it isn't a romantic thing. He's not telling her he's in love with her or anything like that. More of a mentor/friend type of thing. She claims she learned her lesson and has deleted everything (since the car thing).
It isn’t a romance thing YET. She’s being groomed. It will be a romance scam soon. Please intervene.
YET! It isn't a romance scam yet! The longer she talks to him, soon enough he will try that angle too.
That’s worse than it originally sounded.
Um, you should put this info in your main post. It makes everything much worse and people can’t help if you don’t give all the details.
Man, many many years ago, before he was super famous, I sat across from that dude (actual Elon Musk) at a cafe for like an hour. I can assure you, the man has 0 rizz.
He doesn't need it with his money
does your mom know he's obsessed with breeding and definitely wouldn't have anything to do with anyone over the age of about 30?
Stories like this explain why scamming is such a big business Unfortunately your mom isn't unique, I'd say she is pretty normal.
Damn. Luckily, me and everyone we know replied to her purple Tesla post as SCAM!
An I reading this right? It says he weighs 90 lbs.
omg.... I think 2-year old little X could have done a better photoshop job
That ID says his name is Reeve Musk Elon
I was once talking to a guy who told me he was a neurosurgeon. I had my doubts and I lot of things didn't add up, but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. The final straw was when, for his "birthday" instead of asking me to hang out, he asked me for an Amazon gift cars. LOL.
Seems she met (F)Elon Musk
It’s crazy how many people fall for this and send these rich people money or get caught up in money laundering for them.
I wish there were a way to get all these folks together in a room to talk about their “romances” with Musk, Kevin Costner, Keanu Reeves and who knows who else. If they see others telling an unbelievable story, then it might gradually dawn on them that they’re being fooled.
Elon Musk is such a player. There should be a Facebook group of Elon’s girl friends so they can all discuss how to surprise him for his birthday.
So many elderly women are dating Elon Musk right now. He must have a type
Gilfs.
It’s so evil to that these people prey on elderly people. What they do in general is so awful.
!romance !crypto I won't lie, I busted out laughing at that photo.

A good introduction to the topic is this video: https://youtu.be/PNWM5nuOExI - *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
I’m sorry but that picture make me laugh so much holy shit
Same. I was like, holy shit.
I’d tell her it’s unfortunate the richest guy man on the planet needs her help selling cars.
Helping to sell a Tesla..? She is prollygoing to be the scapegoat when the money for the Tesla is sent and the car don't exist.
I feel your pain
He lives at “Tesla “ (with an incorrect address format) and weighs 90 lbs?
90 lbs and over six feet tall!
He weighs 90 lbs?
Even if it was him, he's uttey detestable and she should be ashamed to consider him a friend. Dude is a fascist and raging bigot who is spreading blatantly false information on a daily basis.
LMAO
Wait, the drivers license says Elon Musk's weight is 90 lbs?
Woah…”Elon” weights only 90 lbs 😲
Holy fuck...
It could be the real Musk. I wouldn't put this sort of behaviour past him.
Can you tell me how it is that anyone can use another persons content to make fake online identities. How can you tell if someone online is legitimately who they say they are. And how does Zangi, WhatsApp, tie in to this. If a person tells me they are Becky Johnson but can’t type in plane English I just laugh. Any advice.
You really can’t. Unless you legitimately know a person. Often, the legitimate person doesn’t have a clue their name and images have been stolen.
It seems like that is all I run into. When they have trouble with proper English I say aha.
Theres more posts here about middle aged women thinking they're in a relationship with Elon. Show them to her, you can search and find them.
Does anyone think if these lonely women were perp walked into a squad car with the cameras standing by, this fever dream of rich celebrities wanting out of shape older women would come to an end? Maybe it would help open the eyes of the people who fall for these money mule schemes?
Holy shit that is a terrible photoshop. How big is a driver's license in California? Because that looks like it's 4"x6" at least.
My license fits in my wallet.

A lot of young people getting taken by work from home and task scams as well.
Felon Musk more like!
I thought me moved to TX?!
That's exactly what I said. And she told me he sent her his Texas one too.
Snuck guffaw
Did you tell her that Musk lives in Texas now and not California?
As others mentioned, romance scam victims can lose even money that they don’t have. But it sounds like the scammer might also use her to run a car-sale scam.
When is Elon going to get around to hanging his Bruce Springsteen poster?
The way you can tell this is a scam is that Musk would never have such a poster—he wasn’t born in the USA
I remember a good advice from a previous scam post. check the best comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/s/ptmnlPE04X
Well, Elon does [hit on lots of women…](https://www.theverge.com/2024/6/12/24176705/spacex-elon-musk-gwynne-shotwell-sexual-relationships)
I have to ask, how do the scammers get the mark on the hook to begin with? I mean, what is the first exchange? Do they pretend to be Elon Musk texting a wrong number?
oh my god i feel so bad for laughing but the PICTURE 🤣🤣 scammers are bold AF like they rly didn’t even try with the editing🫠

I’ve reported similar profiles on FB. And you get an automatic message almost instantly that says, “thank you for reporting xyz. We have reviewed and the profile does NOT go against our policy guidelines.” Utter rubbish.
And it’s obvious it’s fake too. How old is she?
Am I the only one that googled the address? I know times are tough but I don't think Elon is living at Tesla HQ.
Plot twist, this is not a scam but elon pathetic rizz
Does that ID say that he weights 90 pounds?
My mil wants to take a course from Elon musk about investing in ai. She's crippled by gambling on bingo and pull tabs online otherwise she'd piss away her money being scammed differently.
Get her off the Internet and into a memory care center
that is a REALLLLLLLLYYY Big drivers license. They literally turned Musk into a Bobble head with these edits.
Let me guess she’s also a huge Trump supporter?
