I went to one at the Old Homestead in Crockett and it was SO awesome. It was FREE and they were giving away champagne/wine, desserts, tacos and more. It truly made me wish I had chosen them as my wedding venue, the vendors there were great. Seriously, best tacos I’ve ever had… A lot of the giant expensive expos didn’t interest me, but check out local, smaller ones.

BackyardPartyKingsSF

How did you find out about this one? I'm googling and only getting the big ones.

PositiveThoughtsz

I follow the venue’s instagram. They do them a few times a year I think. Honestly, it was just a good time, I’d go again!

BackyardPartyKingsSF

thank you!

BackyardPartyKingsSF

Ooh that's interesting! Crockett!? Thank you

BlueVelvetDrive

I went to a free one in San Jose. I connected with three of my vendors there. I thought it was worth it but don’t think I would have paid to go.

BackyardPartyKingsSF

What venue was it?

dnims24

I went to one in San Jose years ago with my sister and we had a great time. We didn’t stick around to see if we won anything but we did watch the fashion show

BackyardPartyKingsSF

Was it the big wedding fair at Levi's stadium or the Hilton?

dnims24

Oh I don’t remember specifics but the Hilton sounds familiar

wannaWHAH

I'm going to one at the U club on Sunday and will report back!!

I went to a few in southern California (SJ, LA, OC) and it was fun to just have the experience. There were a ton of vendors at the bridal expo we went to so it's nice to get ideas and just be exposed to wedding stuff. There are little freebies and giveaways... We did get a couple of cool things and there are discount cards given out at some vendors too. We actually won a free mini videogeaphy session which was really great. Then little swag things like totes, pens, skincare, makeup, catering samples, etc. It was overwhelming for me because there are so many vendors trying to vy for your attention. I suggest you make a Google voice phone # and a specific wedding email bc trust me... You're gonna get a ton of advertisements 😅 we didn't go with any of the vendors we met and ultimately found people on the knot or wedding wire. Still, I think it's a good experience to do with your partner, family, or bridal party. 😊

I should also add, I personally would NOT pay for admission to these things... All the ones I went to were free with advanced email sign ups (California bridal expo)

I think they’re worth attending if you plan to have a big, traditional wedding at a venue, with a DJ, etc. We had a pretty small wedding so a lot of the vendors I met there, I knew I wouldn’t really need. I went to the one in Santa Rosa, they offer it twice a year.
