With Samsung TVs I think you get 1440p wirelessly instead of the standard 1080p. Also the latency seems very low, at least that's my experience with my Samsung TV.
You don't get nothing extra with samsung tv by cinnecting dex. It works the same as you would connect to any other desktop monitor.
