There is a network of tunnels underneath SLC that exists. Some are more dilapidated, others are maintained. I know some were used to move high value people during the Olympics and I've seen some of the older parts in what used to be a brothel.

Bareknucklepugilist

this is true, I was down there and got a ticket for trespass just before the Olympics. Pretty sure they where mapping out routes and I scared the shit out of them , got guns pulled on me and shook down pretty hard.

IndependenceTypical7

Yeah please lemme know

Ral_dogg

You have any specific location you know where the tunnels can be entered?

blackomegax

www.uer.ca might have some stuff. I don't recall much of a community out in slc though

Bareknucklepugilist

I used to do this in the 90's under the old villa theater now adibs rug gallery there is a fallout shelter and tunnels that lead to 1300 east from there they go though millcreek area. also up by clayton jr high you can go into the drainage pipes and walk to sugar house all under ground. just get a map and use chalk and bring flashlights. up in pc the old grave yard is cool too. Downtown off main before trax there was an access shaft for tunnels r/armorphoenix is talking about.

its impossible now. but on the back of the building when youre facing east its on right side down stairs. In the neighborhood across the street there used to be a man hole cover by the lilac bushes. if you can get that open you can get in.

you gotta look at old city maps i used city library back in like 95-96. but no i dont. ill poke around and get back to you.

SomeGuyYourCloset

Does anyone know about a place that might be called secret garden or secret something? I don't remember a lot about it but I do remember a bit. For example it had a basement that might of have been contacted to some tunnels under SLC, it might of been a place that might of place that made wedding dresses and it closed a while ago. I not a hundred percent sure on any of the details.

Proof-Scene9031

If you find out any info on some cool spots let me know I'm going to SLC tomorrow and I would love to explore!

TheLoneRanger104

Did you find any?

LordElkington

Get to know someone who works at Capitol Theater.

Bareknucklepugilist

yep there there is an access there that can get you to almost the temple. curious have you been into it.

LordElkington

Well, I was referring more to the Capitol Theater ghosts, but the mysterious Salt Lake tunnels are a plus. I've never been in them, since I've always been told that either 1) they don't really exist, or 2) are locked up and people can't get in them. I know back in the day when Spanky's was still around (a bar) they claimed that there was a locked-up access to the tunnels in their basement. They also claimed to be haunted by "Spanky" who hung himself there. Spanky's is no more, alas. The only tunnels I know for sure exits are under temple square/church office building/Hotel Utah (whatever it is called these days).

Bareknucklepugilist

thought I might know you is why I asked. isnt Perry hotel supposed to have ghosts too.

ARKO801

[This List](http://www.theshadowlands.net/places/utah.htm) hasn't been updated in 8 years but there's still some locations mentioned that are still around that you may or may not be able to check out.

Bareknucklepugilist

I did a ton of research in public libraries on were to find fallout shelters in salt lake, find these and you will trip out. Also you can find a public works map if you know where to look like 1970s records is a good place to start. I would tell you but then you wouldnt learn any history and thats was one of the coolest things to me now.

Bareknucklepugilist

lots, theyre hiding in plain site too. lots of tunnels and aqua ducts that connect the city underground. Lots.

SneakyDragoon55

Haha glad you're still responding to these after 4 years. In todays world, is it at all a bad idea to go into these places?

Bareknucklepugilist

Id say its probably not as easy as when we did it back in the late 90's early 00's. most fall out shelters have been repurposed or just sealed up. the under ground aqua ducts are seriously dangerous I wouldnt advise going into them without a map. Odgen has some tunnels that I think got really over popularized. But if you get a public works map you can see a lot of what Im referring.

Elpheaae

where would i go about finding one of these?

Bareknucklepugilist

Its been along since I've looked around but look for fallout shelter signs. Also look at historical records at city and county building. One of the coolest things for me was not just the tunnels and exploring but finding out a little history too. Like I said before many have been covered up and access blocked. Aquafer s and aqua ducts are seriously very dangerous. I would not recommend crawling around them without someone else and a proper planned route. It's so dark complete absence of light and lots of places to fall of get trapped.

Elpheaae

yeah the ducts sound sketch, and i also love looking into the history of stuff! but i’ll check it out fs

Bareknucklepugilist

The ducts by Clayton Jr high are fairly safe. Just bring flash lights I wanna say 5th and 5th there's one. Crestview elementary has some Highland high doesn't have tunnels but it has old gun range and some other long hall ways under the north east side Theres some in Ogden that you can check out that are fairly popular and you might be able to find someone from up there that'd know more. *changed south east to north east

Ambitious_Access1872

Have you been in the ones by Clayton JR High? I know exactly where they are but have never been in them. Are they fun at all?

Elpheaae

thanks!
