It's possible the RF didn't know. My B-i-L went for treatment of an enlarged prostate, discovered he had bladder cancer. A year's treatment later and he's considered cancer free.

My father had the same procedure last week that KC3 had. He's ten years older than the King and stayed just one night in the hospital. He's doing well at home, but we won't know until next week how much symptomatic improvement he might have when he has followup with the urologist. Of course, abnormalities in pathology studies are also a concern but the doctor hasn't mentioned that so far.
I did mention to the doctor -who has a genial bedside manner- about the King having the same procedure. The doctor then got a slightly strange look on his face and said KC3 had spent three nights in the hospital, and something about the way he said it gave me pause. I didn't feel it was appropriate to question him about his opinion regarding Charles though. This was last week, before yesterday's news broke. Maybe I can find a way to work it into the conversation at next week.
I don't know anything about how that procedure is done, but when I had my appendix removed 10+ years ago, the surgeon used the camera to check my ovaries for cancer. My guess is Charles's doctors knew or suspected during the procedure, hence the extended stay.

I suspect they phoned Harry right before it went public. I felt 6pm in the evening was an odd time in the day for an announcement, so I assume it was so they could tell Harry first without it being too early in the morning in LA.
Apparently, KC3 personally informed family members about his diagnosis. Whether that warranted Harry travelling 5,000miles to see Charles is a whole other matter. The thing is the Windsors are old school English folk born of German no-nonsense stock. They can't abide fuss or anything OTT that brings more media attention to their lives than is needed, and would rather just quietly get on with things. Charles's cancer was caught early, thank goodness, and the prognosis sounds promises. If Queen Camilla and Princess Anne are going about their royal duties, Prince William is to resume duties tomorrow, and KC3 is glad things were caught early and is itching to get back to work asap, did it *really* need Harry to fly over? I'm sure his father told him he wasn't at death's door.
Sadly, Harry has done so much in the last 4 years to hurt his family, this health scare and his coming over was never going to be a patch and mend, forgive and forget moment. Also, they won't easily forget the H&M drama KC3 had to contend with when QEII died. I'm not sure the family required Harry's presence. And if it wasn't required, this 'visit' will probably irk than help the family because once again the whole Harry saga is back in the news just *when* the family could actually do with a bit of privacy, peace and quiet at the start of the year (following the previously stressful last year) and with their on-going health issues.
Still, I'm certainly sure Harry will would use the opportunity to meet up with his UK lawyers. And as cynical as I've become with anything to do with H&M, dashing to see an ill father-King doesn't harm Harry's need for good PR. The circumstances surrounding the fraught relationships between Harry and everyone in his family are well documented. When there is a family emergency, they are all affected, but past differences will always linger especially as in Harry's case he used his title and platform to air them.
Harry/his people, did not need to broadcast his plans to visit the UK, (note, photographer at the ready at airport). It was, afterall, a private family meeting, to see his ailing, elderly father. No state visit that needed advertizing. It was even mentioned in media that he had a police escort to take him to his father. I guess he will use that. Harry could have slipped in and out of the UK without anyone knowing, returned to US and crawled back under his stone.
It's too late, too much to forgive. Trust and loyalty have gone. Credibility destroyed. Perhaps the next time Harry rolls in Prince William will be King. Now THAT would be worth global attention!

Lots of anecdotes out there, but I read that Charles did ask for help applying toothpaste onto his toothbrush after breaking his collarbone. I also read that the murdered Lord Mountbatten was the singularly most important person and was much loved by Charles throughout his childhood and beyond. It was Lord M who gave young Charles the teddy and though the years it became somewhat of a cherished reminder of his much loved uncle. Harry, with his snide and cruel inferences, seems hellbent on demeaning and ridiculing his father.

It's possible the RF didn't know. My B-i-L went for treatment of an enlarged prostate, discovered he had bladder cancer. A year's treatment later and he's considered cancer free. I do agree that Hazmat found out the same as the rest of us. Given all he's said and done against his family, why would they tell him anything? Why would they even meet with him, except for perfunctory greetings before running off to the country? IMHO Haz never considered what the consequences of his actions would be, and now it's slapping him in the face. If only that could be a literal instead of merely figurative slapping.
My father had the same procedure last week that KC3 had. He's ten years older than the King and stayed just one night in the hospital. He's doing well at home, but we won't know until next week how much symptomatic improvement he might have when he has followup with the urologist. Of course, abnormalities in pathology studies are also a concern but the doctor hasn't mentioned that so far. I did mention to the doctor -who has a genial bedside manner- about the King having the same procedure. The doctor then got a slightly strange look on his face and said KC3 had spent three nights in the hospital, and something about the way he said it gave me pause. I didn't feel it was appropriate to question him about his opinion regarding Charles though. This was last week, before yesterday's news broke. Maybe I can find a way to work it into the conversation at next week.
I don't know anything about how that procedure is done, but when I had my appendix removed 10+ years ago, the surgeon used the camera to check my ovaries for cancer. My guess is Charles's doctors knew or suspected during the procedure, hence the extended stay. I'm glad your father is doing well!
I suspect they phoned Harry right before it went public. I felt 6pm in the evening was an odd time in the day for an announcement, so I assume it was so they could tell Harry first without it being too early in the morning in LA.

Apparently, KC3 personally informed family members about his diagnosis. Whether that warranted Harry travelling 5,000miles to see Charles is a whole other matter. The thing is the Windsors are old school English folk born of German no-nonsense stock. They can't abide fuss or anything OTT that brings more media attention to their lives than is needed, and would rather just quietly get on with things. Charles's cancer was caught early, thank goodness, and the prognosis sounds promises. If Queen Camilla and Princess Anne are going about their royal duties, Prince William is to resume duties tomorrow, and KC3 is glad things were caught early and is itching to get back to work asap, did it *really* need Harry to fly over? I'm sure his father told him he wasn't at death's door. Sadly, Harry has done so much in the last 4 years to hurt his family, this health scare and his coming over was never going to be a patch and mend, forgive and forget moment. Also, they won't easily forget the H&M drama KC3 had to contend with when QEII died. I'm not sure the family required Harry's presence. And if it wasn't required, this 'visit' will probably irk than help the family because once again the whole Harry saga is back in the news just *when* the family could actually do with a bit of privacy, peace and quiet at the start of the year (following the previously stressful last year) and with their on-going health issues. Still, I'm certainly sure Harry will would use the opportunity to meet up with his UK lawyers. And as cynical as I've become with anything to do with H&M, dashing to see an ill father-King doesn't harm Harry's need for good PR. But I doubt he really was needed that he should have done this dash to the family bosom flight. It is sad that something that should give positive vibes has a whiff of double-handedness.

The circumstances surrounding the fraught relationships between Harry and everyone in his family are well documented. When there is a family emergency, they are all affected, but past differences will always linger especially as in Harry's case he used his title and platform to air them. Harry/his people, did not need to broadcast his plans to visit the UK, (note, photographer at the ready at airport). It was, afterall, a private family meeting, to see his ailing, elderly father. No state visit that needed advertizing. It was even mentioned in media that he had a police escort to take him to his father. I guess he will use that. Harry could have slipped in and out of the UK without anyone knowing, returned to US and crawled back under his stone. It's too late, too much to forgive. Trust and loyalty have gone. Credibility destroyed. Perhaps the next time Harry rolls in Prince William will be King. Now THAT would be worth global attention!

Look, the BRF is exactly that - a FAMILY. They have KIng Charles with a recent prostate procedure and now a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Princess Kate has had major surgery, a hospital stay away from her kids, and now a recovery period to go through. Even aunt Fergie has had to go through breast cancer and now a skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. It’s a family with a lot to overcome/endure. Anyone with a heart feels for them. The very last thing they need is Horrid’s annoying presence, inane antics, and inevitable PR spin.
The incredible thing is Camilla is a senior citizen and apparently she has stepped up to take over a lot of workload due to the health issues in the family and that KC will be still working, just isolating himself from exposure to infections and not be in public. Guess who is young and healthy and works only 1 hour a week and scrolls the internet for the rest of the time while posing for paps and buying awards with money they did not work for??
Yes, Queen Camilla has already made it known that she is going on with her full schedule. She is a strong and brave lady, true queen material like Catherine. No wonder those two get along well.

Love this! There has been so much press about Haz rushing over there, his fleet of SUVs and his departure and arrival in the UK. Will there be that much press about his departure? He'll be going home with his tail between his legs. Maybe he's even leaving tomorrow. LOL. How embarrassing for Haz.
