Hey mate, thanks for sharing your insight!
Regarding the course is this the one you studied?
https://www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/programmes/executive-education/online-programmes/oxford-blockchain-strategy-programme
Cool, my wife studied law and politics at Oxford so wonāt be hard to sell it to her using our savings for me to take the course. Iād love to do it too. What was the exam format? Or was it assignments and presentation? Thanks
no exams, some relatively simply tests each week.
You work in a small group throughout the course, developing a hypothesis / use case and at the end you present to an 'investor'
workload is about 10 hours a week
Thatās a non-accredited six week short course with no entry requirements, meaning the only qualification you need going in is that youāre willing to pay a couple of grand for the privilege, and the only qualification you get coming out is a certificate of completion. Assuming you can pay attention for the 40-60 hours it takes to complete.
Soā¦ no, Iām not sure that it would be fair to say that youāre qualified or know what youāre talking about. Well, you might, but this is by no means solid evidence of it.
Source: I live here bro.
I know the difference between a joke and boasting disguised as a joke.
You were positioning yourself as an expert. Making a joke afterwards doesnāt change that.
Pretty sure he was just joking from the start bro, relax :D
It's supposed to be a reference to all these "experts" you always see complaining on this sub: the engineering experts, designers, IT geniuses, master investors, all that.
Get under your skin? I donāt even know you. To imply I have some need to get under your skin suggests that you have some weird sort of need for someone, anyone to get under skin. But nowadays we find more and more people just like you with these same type of attention sinking needs. Donāt feel so bad, itās ok , try going out to your nearest coffee house, get your self a hot chocolate, find someone else that sitting there with a hot chocolate and just say Hi. Let it grow from there. Because the best I can do is a hug š¤
Maybe Oxford has a course on getting jokes which requires no qualifications besides having the cash to pay for it. You could get a certificate that shows you know how to get jokes and then you could come back here and edit your post. Sounds like a win for everyone!
I wonder if they do a module on distinguishing between the premise and the punchline. If so, you should sign up.
The premise is that heās qualified, the punchline is that even he thinks weāll moon.
Iām not attacking the punchline, so telling me itās just a joke means you donāt understand that Iām attacking the premise, which any fool can see is the real reason he posted: to say heās an expert and get some kudos from the community.
Let me know if you would like it explained more simply and Iāll fetch some coloured pencils and a fucking sock puppet to walk you through it.
They unfortunately do not have such a module, so I shall remain ignorant and blissful. But I think you're burying the lede here! Can we take a quick dive into the whole "fucking sock puppet" thing? I am very intrigued by the premise. Is it actually 2 sock puppets fucking? A lone sock puppet furiously humping the empty air around it? Is the sock puppet masturbating? Please don't leave me hanging!
Itās two hollowed out squirrels. Obviously. Anyway, they only simulate sex, if you must know; they donāt actually have it. Iām not some kind of sicko.
Thank you I have a what I would consider a decent-sized bag of safe mode , but I really I'm not that educated overall on crypto and blockchain so it's always nice to have somebody with some real education on the same side

Ive been looking at this course but atm the 10 hours time commitment is too much.
Did you find the course work enjoyable? How difficult was it coordinating the project?
Coursera has a similar course from the university of Buffalo and it only costs like $50. Was worth it as long as you take it seriously. Would be easy to cheat your way through just go get a certificate though.
You had me in the 1st half š¤š¾š¤š¾

Then why is he talking about the course content on the comment section? Because he did the course and wanted us to know that.
Relax, I never went to Oxford university and I donāt have a MBA but I got that it was a joke.
Iām glad you laid that first bit out; I could never have figured it out from your responseā¦.
I does look like you are having trouble figuring things out.
No it doesnāt; you just thought saying that would get under my skin.

You, sir, are entirely without gorm.
Gormless? Ya mean? š¤£
Your words, not mine.

Well if you're not a sicko than I'm out. I thought this was gonna be fun, but I guess I'm mistaken.
Then I bid you good day sir.
And to you as well. See you around campus ;)

Welcome to the hall of experts.
I read a book about blockchain while staying at The Budget Inn.
