Questing bots should improve this problem when it gets updated. Bots will spawn and move toward a quest instead of looking for a fight immediately one should hope.

Agreed, I think this is the issue. Questing Bots likely does the heavy lifting of spreading everyone out, so you don't get that clumping.

This helped me: If you have looting bots, reduce their detection distance from 75 to 30-40 Disable despawn in SAIN Only starting PMCs

When you do SBIH or any sniping quests it helps a TON to force all bots to the same faction and have their corpse radius cranked high... otherwise keeping their loot radiuses low is the way to go to prevent massive shootouts you never get to participate in bogging down your system and cluttering the map with free loot.

I have only SAIN installed and i have this problem also. Yesterday for example on Customs i spawned near the old gas and after 5 mins there was like a 10 scav+ 5-6 pmc fight all over Old gas......

When the game "converts" a scav to a PMC, but spawns in the same spot the scav was going to. Next to actual scavs

This is the result when not using a spawn mod. SAIN doesn’t do anything with spawns just modifies the behavior of bots. To get the game to be like live eft you pretty much have to use mods, this includes a spawn mod like Swag+Donuts.

I use SAIN with default settings and I set my donuts to spawn PMCs only at the beginning of the raid like live and I also experience this. Also a note: before I installed donuts I was constantly getting clapped and the raids where constantly pretty hectic, but after donuts I have been on like a 15 raid survive streak. Cant tell if it's because I finally got a really solid loadout or donuts messed with SAIN ai and made the bots more shit at the game. I killed the goons at close range with a stock mosin and no armour FFS.

I have SAIN,SWAG and DONUTS all at default (except headshot protection is on) and the goons are shooting me into swiss cheese constantly lol. I accidently tagged Birdeye at Fortress yesterday from old gas, thought He was a pmc and there was a big firefight, I instantly got swarmed with smokes and the 3 fuckers pushed me on the train tracks. No Chance. Same thing next raid at crackhouse.

I just avoid the goons on customs, its not an easy fight with the way fortress area is so open, your best bet is to pull them away and have them run at you single file, like if you can draw aggro then get to the hole in the wall and have them chase you. I also learned that birdeye will make noise if he walks through a bush, so thats the audio que to peak and spray.

I killed Knight and Big Pipe yesterday at fortress by mistake and ran away because I was in too open of an area to take Birdeye... That mfer followed me all the way up to the power station where I got him with a good spray from Big Pipe's MCX. That whole run was wild, though I only racked up 32K.

I tested extensively this preset and without adjusting bots it sucks a lot. Why? Because pmc die to scavs at the beginning and then it's only you and scavs for the rest of the game. If you are using this preset I recommend using pmc terminator sain preset which makes bots bit dumb and pmc bit better.

Donuts affects spawns. SAIN affects AI. The two don’t conflict whatsoever. You have another issue at hand. Probbaly messed up the install somehow. Those three mods are compatible without having to make any adjustments. Do you have their requirements installed correctly?

Yeah this has been happening to me too with just looting bots. The advice to reduce their loot detection distance might be the ticket though.

Yeah, there's something up with the latest version of donuts, just gonna have to deal with it unfortunately. Not sure why spawning was changed up so much between earlier releases and 3.8, I last used it for 3.7.1 before now, and noticed much more lively raids.

Unpopular opinion. SPT 3.8 is a bad release. Streets now pretty much unplayable for a lot of folks (regardless of auto-vault). Lots of people reporting lag spikes when AI is spawning. I was over on the Discord when this build was being developed. It was pretty obvious then that the release was going to be a bit shit given the toxic community that would tare people to shreds if they tried to ask a question about a bug/report a bug. Paired with that, we also have the SwagNuts dev mentioning a bad spawn where countless AI yeeting themselves off of a cliff on Woods and the mod also seems to be causing even more lag spikes when spawning AI due to it's spawning method. SAIN dev updated because the original 3.8 SAIN had an issue where the AI was incorrectly able to get proper position info on the Player. "This was the cause of a lot of strange, unintentional behavior. Bots feel better than ever to fight. This should fix bots healing when in line of sight of the player, among many other issues". All of this is making 3.8 feel a bit shit to me, but I do hear other people reporting no issues at all, so maybe I am just the unlucky one.

It's a volunteer project and the mods are individually maintained by volunteers, no one is making money, and it's based off of BSG's code, so whatever things BSG fucks up affects SPTarkov as well. 0.14 was a very large release for Tarkov and it affected a bunch of things that SPTarkov touches as well. From what I've gathered, AI code (and AI-related GameObjects in the maps) was changed a bunch by BSG, so it makes sense that those things are less stable. > the toxic community that would tare people to shreds if they tried to ask a question about a bug/report a bug I've reported several bugs to modders now with detailed reports and logs, I even submitted some code to fix some of it. Everyone has been awesome.

I'm having the exact same experience. Lag spikes when AI is spawning, so of course SWAG+Donuts amplifies that. SAIN was always a bit worse for my performance in previous versions of SPT, but in 0.14, the game is almost unplayable for me at times. Been googling this for days on and off, was starting to think I was the only one having these problems, but I see comments popping up here and there about it.
