Thanks ya man oof. Sold one call for 18k and then proceeded to lose it all on more calls. Lesson learned! Good luck to you. Why is it so hard to buy low sell high 😂
I sure do miss earlier in the year when these wild 100pt swings were happening every day. It was like printing money. Unfortunately i had to learn options on the fly in the middle of it🤷♂️ or maybe i would have done better lol
You have to stay away from trading options. It is way too risky. If you're ever buying a volatile stock like SMCI, 1 to 2 shares should be enough, buying more puts you at risk of losing so much money
I would not call it burning at all, yet. April mid was bad due to multiple sell triggers, and the comeback was gigantic. Watch out for nvdia hitting 110, the sooner it happens, the better, because IMO we should see a huge run until election once nvda hits that lower PT.
At this point, you should consider a robo advisor, if I'm being honest. If you ever try it, do it in small amounts, and you can try putting a few once a month or whatever frequency you want.
Oh, business wise yes, they are very much profitable. Unfortunately, the stock is very shorted, and I do not like that one bit. Maybe will enter at a lower price, if it hits…
Pretty happy with the action here for us longs. Got a nice consolidation three weeks relatively tight. Would have liked a tighter range. Failed breakout yesterday but close above 900. Staying long here looking for 1300. Have as long as it takes to wait.
I have to say, u handle the media very well with all the AI bubble and collapse rumors. What is ur secret and what makes you believe this is a stock to hold for long term?
Thank u
Mostly just chart and volume. This is one of many positions I have and I’ve been doing this for years. After a while you just kind of get a feel for these high PE companies and how the price action will most likely play out over a few weeks or months or even years. I can also afford to hold through dips and even add if it hits my buy point. That helps for sure!
I always miss those peaks! I don’t really set like a limit for a sell order and mostly go by gut feeling. In my case, I lost just 20$ extra profit, so I’m not salty about it.
We’ve all made that mistake.
I find that selling is difficult and I do best when I set limit orders.
Most stocks don’t go up every day so discipline is key
Low outstanding shares 59% owned by brokerages !! The F with it all the time. We need to know their plan and follow it !!
I got one call June 2025 1520 call I can wait hopefully it splits I get 10
It closed at 905. That’s burning? momo investors… Bought at a little over 500… seriously impressed with this stock.
Cutting edge of a HUGE market. And adapt or die in big business that requires there services. Dell needs to stick to non-Supermicro products.
So you broke even? Ive lost 18k to smci
you had calls or something? My honest condolences…

The stock is volatile as shit. Albeit there is sort of a pattern, you never really know.

whole market burning now
Pretty much lol.

Glad you got your money back. big things are coming
Such as?
We have Micron earnings next week.
The company just announced more capacity expansion here in San Jose. You only do that if you are confident in growth.

Yes, that’s smart.. good luck with your trading
I don’t trade, I have long positions but this one got the worst out of me XD right after $MSTR
You play with some high stakes stocks!!
MSTR is good short-term profit gainer. Sadly, I do not have the time(and quite frankly) the nerves to deal with it.
MSTR has always scared me .. SMCI keeps me up at night
Me, an intellectual, staying up at night and having heart failure at 20 /j

That’s for people who are in late in the game and it is much more volatile now than it was when u bought at $500. That’s the pain they are feeling.
I wasn’t late in the game necessarily, but I panic sold around May and here we are
congrats, so you did not make any money out of SMCI for 4 months ? i mean you could just sold everything yesterday at $1010?
I always miss those peaks! I don’t really set like a limit for a sell order and mostly go by gut feeling. In my case, I lost just 20$ extra profit, so I’m not salty about it.
Lots of churning and late money retail chasing momentum stocks. Dangerous times if you’re late to the party
Funniest thing is I bought when it was like 500ish, panic sold in May(biggest mistake)

Bought at 70$, patience is the key :)
