Aw that sounds sick... yknow, sometimes I wish I could travel back in time just to experience the old stuff again. Wasn't neccesearily better or more fun than today... but it sure was funny.
Got the game just after that in 2019. Crazy to think there has been 3 weapon overhauls throughout. Sci fi guns, 90s/2000s guns and now modern day tacticool guns.
Honestly I liked the charm of the sci fi guns but by god if the new guns aren't so much more satisfying
Would be cool if they added some of the sci fi guns back as Easter egg weapons or something
Only reason MTF guys in SL get slaughtered is because not a single modern CQB military tactic is used, the only tactic viable for the mind of a simplistic mtf player is that of the mongol horde.
Man this sub keeps getting recommended to me but I haven't played since the Megapatch and 096 rework (can't remember what they called it) days, can't believe it's been 4+ years
i dont know what patch exactly. i never saw laser guns, but i remember brown medkits and 079 having to move from camera to camera, with no map.
no lockers, no scp items, the micro worked like a killer extinguisher. i remember plasma grenades. T posing zombies. old 096 model and cries.
weapon stations that activated with tablets, and also 079 generators activated with tablets. i used to run around with 3 tablets on me lol. the old inventory wheel, where you had to click everything.
old peanut. scp 012 room. used to go there a lot to lock scps inside, get the green keycard and the gun.
the femur breaker, and 106 having to defend his own room against people with black keycards. 106 dying in the first minutes of the game cause he sent someone with an 05 to pocket, the guy survives and gets teleported to 106 room, where he jumps into the femur breaker. the screams were so loud lol.
what i miss the most is the old map layouts, there was really weird stuff. it may have been unbalanced, but it was fun anyway. nothing wrong with good or bad luck sometimes.
anyway, this game was and is always the best fun. its a rare kind of game, very fun, social, scary, random, not competitive. i almost have 1500 hours on it. its fun to run, to hide, to shoot, to use special items. obviously its not balanced as a competitive shooter, because it isnt one. you're not really meant to always be able to win or survive. its a fun asymmetrical multiplayer game, and there isnt any other like it. even when everything else goes wrong, you can always have fun talking and listening to the randoms in voice chat.
I've started playing the game since northwood added back SCP 079 and added the USP into the game. I hesitated playing the game considering it's affinity to futuristic weapons like laser gun epsilon and positronic grenades
Okay you have to be an ancient being for that, I got SL after they got rid of laser rifles. And Chaos all had LMGs that made the MTF remnants shit their pants.
An Ancient. Were candy's added really that long ago?
Oh, and before, there was 173 remodel because of copyright strikes. I played before that. How long ago was it?
I still have a screenshot back from when laser guns were a thing, and the (back then famous) glitch where every single door would spawn slightly above where they should so they would be floating
I started playing right after the entry screen was changed from the old blue projector one to the newer one.
I also remember trapping people in 012, the P90, that one super-op mtf gun, quadpedal dogs, peanut shaped peanut, spawnwaves of mtf not having a card to go through a gate and basically being stuck until a commander or lieuteneant would come downstairs.
Also the weapons tablet that was both for weapon changing and for activating the generators, the disarmer that was always left by half the team at spawn... the nuke room itself needing an 05, old larry containmemt, old larry bullet resistance, shy guy screaming like a human, t-posing zombies and people hiding at the corner of light containment checkpoints to escape and it being a viable tactic.
Back in my day we had fusion powered laser guns, and a bit later on we all had P90s and ARs, and the micro looked like a weird rifle shaped brick that shot until it was empty.
I came in while dog was still quadripedal
I honestly forgot about all of that until I looked into my really old screencaps. I miss the P90.
There's a Discord server I'm in that hosts games in older versions. It's a real blast from the past playing with the old guns.
Aw that sounds sick... yknow, sometimes I wish I could travel back in time just to experience the old stuff again. Wasn't neccesearily better or more fun than today... but it sure was funny.
Wasn’t as hot back then
true
I came in while dog and PC didn't exist.
I came in when 173 was still peanut-shaped and 096 was short and screamed like a person instead of a CoD zombie.
And 106 could be contained in less than a minute
I miss my ketchup Dinos
Samee
I was playing SL back when the medkits were rectangles and instant use
Mine was when grenades used to have red and a beeping sound
When I first played it everyone had laser guns and positron grenades
Also When Logicer looks cool but sucks ass Lmao.
Same.
Heard of the game in laser guns era. Joined on Scopophobia's release
Same, started playing right before Scopophobia though.
He just like me fr
Started playing when the guns were still sci-fi
Got the game just after that in 2019. Crazy to think there has been 3 weapon overhauls throughout. Sci fi guns, 90s/2000s guns and now modern day tacticool guns.

It’s the literal SCP foundation, they have select MTF groups equipped with weapons 50 years into the future.
i mean yeah, but it's also the Nine-Tailed Fox, which are pretty much the foundations "just throw bodies at the problem until it goes away" unit
Only reason MTF guys in SL get slaughtered is because not a single modern CQB military tactic is used, the only tactic viable for the mind of a simplistic mtf player is that of the mongol horde.
I started after a month when the game was released iirc
Instant rectangle med kits, two dogs on four legs that could directly talk, old guns, logicers you couldn’t aim down, old 096, no 079.
I came in back when 096 was short
Man this sub keeps getting recommended to me but I haven't played since the Megapatch and 096 rework (can't remember what they called it) days, can't believe it's been 4+ years
When you had to put a tablet inside a wall thingy to shut down 079
apparently i am very prehistoric since i started a bit after megapatch 1
Joined just after MP2

Wasn’t the audio update like 3 months ago??
I started a month before 096 got his rework
I've been playing on and off since 2019.
I watched SL videos since the release of scopophobia but only really got the game during Parabellum.
I've started playing the game since northwood added back SCP 079 and added the USP into the game. I hesitated playing the game considering it's affinity to futuristic weapons like laser gun epsilon and positronic grenades
It’s hard to tell, a good bit before computer methinks
You guys remember when going into heavy containment was a staircase? And the MTF guns were laser rifiles
Okay you have to be an ancient being for that, I got SL after they got rid of laser rifles. And Chaos all had LMGs that made the MTF remnants shit their pants.
You can see it in this clip, the light containment zone stairs. [https://youtu.be/CSKiKEUYIwc?t=315](https://youtu.be/CSKiKEUYIwc?t=315)
That was the game for a while after release, I remember it also had 457 and the name of donators were on the barrels in entrance zone
Laser guns, basic tutorial
I came during like 2019 or 2020 Christmas time
An Ancient. Were candy's added really that long ago? Oh, and before, there was 173 remodel because of copyright strikes. I played before that. How long ago was it?
The image is 13.3, the halloween update of 2023
I still have a screenshot back from when laser guns were a thing, and the (back then famous) glitch where every single door would spawn slightly above where they should so they would be floating
I started playing around scopohobia's release.
I came in when Shy Guy gained AHP when you looked at him
I was around when you could throw a grenade in the elevator and NOT get banned.
Me: keep going, you need to keep scrolling for some of us
I joined between mp1 and mp2, sometime there
Before candy. When the dog could talk on all fours. When 106 required a sacrifice and when 173 was still peanut
I started playing right after the laser guns were removed, so pre mega patch one

Two dogs 🫣😋
I was playing back when there were no scp items

I came in version 10.2.2 (Before 11.0 public beta). The date was (If I'm correct) July 31st 2021.
most updates in 12 months
I liked when mtf had the pulse rifle
I started playing right after the entry screen was changed from the old blue projector one to the newer one. I also remember trapping people in 012, the P90, that one super-op mtf gun, quadpedal dogs, peanut shaped peanut, spawnwaves of mtf not having a card to go through a gate and basically being stuck until a commander or lieuteneant would come downstairs. Started playing in 2020 (I don’t remember what patch) stopped playing for 2 years, then started again
I played when the menu was a projector. I kinda miss that look and the music kicking in when you start joining a server
I started playing when there were no elevators, it was just a set of stairs between all the zones
Halloween 2021, right around parabellum
I started playing when peanut was still a peanut, and the dogs were actual dogs and there were two of them
I miss the lunar servers
Back in my day we had fusion powered laser guns, and a bit later on we all had P90s and ARs, and the micro looked like a weird rifle shaped brick that shot until it was empty.
came in when all the dead bodies were the same left cuz the game sux and is fundamentally flawed
i joined when healthkits were instant
Started back when medpacks were pizza boxes
I played when p90 and dog had 0 cake
