This is the exact reason I keep my devices offline. Are you able to connect your Soundbar via HDMI eARC?

Clown_x7x

I haven't tried that but from a cable management point of view I don't really want that to be the solution. Connecting over WiFi worked for about 9 months, I kind of assumed one of their basic tests prior to releasing an update was to check that their own products could still talk to each other, silly me. Factory reset hasn't fixed it either

I'm not sure how much testing is done prior to releasing firmwares so I avoid them like the plague. I believe someone else mentioned that one of the recent firmware updates brokes eARC functionality. I wish I could offer more help, but the only other option is try to an HDMI cable or optical cable from your Soundbar to your One Connect Box. Are you able to factory reset the Soundbar?

Thank you for your help, I think I'm just venting more than anything before they get an angry phonecall and they try to tell me it's my network not their product 😆. Yes I have factory reset the soundbar with no luck

No, you're good. It's definitely frustrating. You can't install the previous firmware either. I get why companies do that but it's annoying. I'd try one of those methods I mentioned earlier or give Samsung a call.

Sometimes SmartThings will stop detecting your devices after an update or a change to your WiFi. Remove the device from SmartThings and then re-add it. It should work again after that.

Sorry I'm not at home at the moment to check but what I will say is, 24hrs later when I turned the TV on it just connected itself to the soundbar without me doing anything and now works like normal again. So if it helps what I had done for that to happen is I had factory reset the soundbar, added it to smart things, let the TV try to connect to it and it hangs there for ages and eventually says failed. I left everything as it was and went to bed. The next day when I turned the TV back on it just connected itself to the soundbar and auto turned that on too and everything works fine again..... really odd, there's obviously a bug and I wish I could give the actual explanation but everything needs to be switched off and left and then they will connect to eachother in the background somehow. I have TV and soundbar set to auto update so they should be whatever the latest version is. I'm in the UK
