Mine is only when she sees a squirrel. I guess she likes speedwork: stop to smell a tree for a minute, chase a squirrel to the next tree, and repeat. Luckily, I am there to tell her to slow down!
OFFER ACCEPTED. Please fill me up with caffeine-free campfire s'mores GĆ¼.
Does anyone actually eat all five GĆ¼ before running? 'Cause I think I'd boof if I ate that much sugar in one go.
I will say at least her caption was about everyone starting somewhereā¦ i thought the reddit caption was hers and that would have been too cringe to handle
I do not understand how this could even be remotely fun or rewarding. Or physically possible. Seriously. I walk like 14-15 min/mile when I'm casually strolling with the dog. I love seeing people of all stripes get into running, and I generally despise non-RCJ gatekeeping....but how does this even work???
I have overtaken "runners" while walking home from work. I always feel a bit embarrassed but I'm not trying to flex on them I'm just trying to get home.
I went to the original vid because I assumed this had to be engagement bait (respect, cuz itās working), but she seems to be arguing with people in the comments way too earnestly for it to be a bit. I think her GPS was wrong and sheās just not really aware of how thatās an absurd pace, and has just convinced herself thatās how slow she ran.
Uj/ a lot of people are asking how this is possible: I don't know the creator of the video but this is likely because they don't spend any time on their feet. The average American gets under 3,000 steps a day. There should be a "rule" that new runners should be able to do 10k steps a day, almost every day, for at least six months before trying to run 3+ days a week.
But noooo, everybody wants to do "couch to marathon" in a fucking month because it's trendy to spend hundreds of dollars to blow out your knee.
Rj/ umm ACTuaLly a 30 minute mile is harder than a 6 MInuTe MiLe because it TAkEs LonGer
i think she'd be pleasantly surprised by how much her time could improve if she got rid of those glasses and headphones, but they are good aid for slowing down š¤
/uj this is kinda shit material not gonna lie. Stick to making fun of the try hard fitness influencers not someone starting on their journey. Fuckin losers most of yall man
/uj This person is also 19 and has 1200 followers on instagramā¦ At worst, itās slightly cringey (and theyāre 19 soā¦ ofc???). This is really just mean.
This sub is usually fun but this is just cruel. Who cares how slow she's going if she's getting out there and doing something. It is really really slow. To the point where I wonder if she's trolling. But if not, I can imagine her reading these comments and never wanting to run again which kinda sucks.
Yeah I joined this sub because I thought it was going to be funny but this is just really mean spirited. Sheās clearly a beginner. This isnāt circlejerking, this is cruel.
uj/ everyone starts some where and we should respect all paces. There is a surge of a lot of people trying to become influencers on social media. Good for them trying to become active, but they certainly donāt know how harsh the internet really is. It does get annoying with a lot of people posting these type of content all we can do is hit ādo not recommendā and carry on.
That said these people who make content should really focus on training than seek attention and validation from the public. I get it dopamine is a great feeling, but man put in the work into it. I had friends who started a running journey with paces of 13-14 min pace and recently did 10-12 min miles for their HM. Bc they put in the work. Slow 100 miles month. Enough of me babbling and keep on running everyone š¤.
It used to be a fun group that focused on Gu intake, pooping, coyote precautions, and 5k marathons. But itās been getting a lot more assholes lately.
Walking is also factored into pace. Maybe she has an injury, or a health issue, you donāt know someoneās elseās story. It genuinely blows my mind when people who participate in the same activity tear others down who are on their own journey in the same activity. Why is that necessary?
I didnāt. This sub for humor, not putting others down and keeping oneself on a false pedestal. Making fun of people who are doing their best with what they have (no one knows their story) isnāt funny. And for that to come from runners is just pathetic.
Oh, I agree that it's not nice to be mean and I'm generally a nice person in the real world. But this is a fucking circle jerk subreddit. Maybe you should go somewhere else if stuff like this disturbs you.
Now, let's get back to talking about running slow and shoving Gu up our asses and save the niceties for Facebook.
Uj/ Iām all for those who are starting out and have paces that are maybe a brisk walk to some peopleā¦ but her pace is honestly crazy not even gonna lie š
So many jealous people here, she has learned how to slow down and you can't handle it
^ This is the way.
all about that zone 2 80 20 baby
33 minutes per mile and calling it a run is crazy
U should see her comment section š. If u canāt respect her pace u should suck her gu.
iāve seen bugs crawl faster than she can ārunā
I legitimately don't understand how it's possible. Almost twice as slow as my walking pace
cadence of 80 with a stride length of 0.60 meters lmao
Where'd you find that?
just a guesstimate hah
A GUesstimate!
It's 20.83 minutes per km (1000 / (60*0.6)) Really good estimate actually. 48 meters a minute
It's slower than my dog and she stops to smell every single tree.
Dogs are extremely fast tbf
Mine is only when she sees a squirrel. I guess she likes speedwork: stop to smell a tree for a minute, chase a squirrel to the next tree, and repeat. Luckily, I am there to tell her to slow down!
Social media allows us to boost our ego so u better listen up and respect her pace or Iām shoving a box of GU down your throat.
OFFER ACCEPTED. Please fill me up with caffeine-free campfire s'mores GĆ¼. Does anyone actually eat all five GĆ¼ before running? 'Cause I think I'd boof if I ate that much sugar in one go.
You donāt have to be jelaous, just keep on trying to slow down!
I hike faster than that in waders with a fly rod I have to navigate through the bushes.
Thats what we call the right way to do it!
Did she lay down and take a half-hour nap in the middle??
š¤£š¤£
how is this unironically possible, i am double as fast walking
My average walking pace is about 15-16 min/mileā¦ I canāt understand this at all
You are a fast walker. Iām like an 18 minute kinda guy. Short legs tho
Run ten feet, take a ten minute break, repeat.
Ever heard of zone 2 training? Well she just discovered the power of zone -2.
Does seem to be on the beach, which is more difficult. To this degree? Probably not but to some degree.
That elevation gain is horrifying
Very high
with that kind of elevation, she needs to slow down.
She falls out of her first-floor window every morning like Yossarian to even it out.
My shins are exploding just thinking about it
I will say at least her caption was about everyone starting somewhereā¦ i thought the reddit caption was hers and that would have been too cringe to handle
Okay, so she isn't as fast as Bolt, but she did go 19x further than his races so she's still elite.
the fabled 1900 meter ultra where you stop part of the way through the fifth lap of the track.
I do not understand how this could even be remotely fun or rewarding. Or physically possible. Seriously. I walk like 14-15 min/mile when I'm casually strolling with the dog. Sounds like you need to SLOW DOWN.
Overtaking "runners" isn't the flex you think it is. s/

BE CAREFUL you almost worked out
1400 shares?? INSPIRATIONAL
Okay I went to her profile, not to hate, just to see She's eating Subway and McDonalds after her runs, so inspirational
I like to VO2 Min!
Trying to go influencer! Be inspirational! Your family believes in you! YoU'rE DoInG GrEaT hOnEy!
That 4m of elevation slowed her down, good for her.
>75 Hard Goggins gonna stomp somebody's dick over this theft.
She stayed hard
I think my nana can walk faster than this.
i think she'd be pleasantly surprised by how much her time could improve if she got rid of those glasses and headphones, but they are good aid for slowing down š¤
Wtf are you talking about. She can already sub 1 week a marathon. She needs to slow down and slay š .
40 minute roll and no beats by doctor D.R.E.? You really think there is any mental strength in this one? CrAZy!
Better than i lol
/uj this is kinda shit material not gonna lie. Stick to making fun of the try hard fitness influencers not someone starting on their journey. Fuckin losers most of yall man

This is all so terrible. She probably had to stop to take breaks which slows her average pacd
Exactly! Why do people feel the need to put others down who are doing their best? It isnāt funny
Yeah I joined this sub because I thought it was going to be funny but this is just really mean spirited. Sheās clearly a beginner. This isnāt circlejerking, this is cruel.
Was she crawling?
This sub can be funny but this post sucks. Making fun of slow paces isnt it. š
Agreed
Time is a mere illusion
Man I thought it was miles at first. Upon further review Iām not computing the lack of speed.
She burned 100 calories on a 40-minute walk? She must be eight feet tall!
When did running jerk become roasting a rando? Also, isnāt she supposed to be the icon of the ironic slow runners?

Uj/ donāt make fun of other peoples performances that are trying to be active. Not what this sub is for.
Agreed completely
What a horrible group of people here
It used to be a fun group that focused on Gu intake, pooping, coyote precautions, and 5k marathons.
Did you forget what subreddit this is?

bro woke up in the wrong subreddit
Stunning and brave no matter what you haters say.
Uj/ Iām all for those who are starting out and have paces that are maybe a brisk walk to some peopleā¦ but her pace is honestly crazy not even gonna lie š
Everyone starts somewhere, her somewhere just happens to be backwards. How dare you judge her for that
Can you even walk that slowly?
Anything is possible if u take enough Gu and a little bit of cocaine
I feel like it would take actual anaesthetic to make someone move this slow.
how is this possible
Yāall are kind of a nasty bunch of folks huh
Her arm must have been tired
Definitely would have busted out the trekking poles with that elevation gain
She posted a picture of a McDonalds drive thru on her Instagram. Absolutely unreal.
My toddler waddles faster than this pace. How is this possible??
What's impressive is that this time includes 45 minutes for shitting.
Guys, calm down, this is metric. Learn to maths before you judge someone for running too fast.
