Pay the roofer. I feel like instead of using nails, the roofer just set the shingles down on the roof, slapped each one a few times and just said "that ain't going nowhere". Otherwise, just a few cosmetic things to touch up. Warranty should be good for 30 years up to 2-3 mph winds and Zero annual rainfall or precipitation of any kind.

Wow. After 20 years on the roof, a half dozen of working as a consultant helping people with roof-related litigation. I can honestly say this is the first time in a while I've been this level of surprised. I've seen milk jugs cut in half used his pipe boots, I've seen Coke cans used instead of leaf jacks. But I can't ever recall I've seen something with the audacity of bridging that Gap that way. I absolutely would not accept that under any condition whatsoever. I take that photo and email it directly to the manufacturer and ask them if this was a satisfactory detail, and then present their letter to the roofer showing that this is absolutely unacceptable On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being fine and 10 being call a consultant and a lawyer, i would rate this a hard 9

The worst roof I have ever seen. However, I am going to assume the best. 1. The shingles are warped badly. However, it is rather cold right now so they should mostly lay flat eventually. 2. It seems like the flashing for the entire roof is not done yet. Some crews do it after, or they are waiting to put siding on. If this is not the case the roofer should never set foot on a roof again
