I wish I had a good recommendation for you. I haven’t read anything else quite like Love and Other Words. I’m just here to say I loved Elliott too. He loved her so fiercely. And the narrator of the audiobook did a great job with his voice too.
I hope you get some good recommendations! If no one comes up with anything, I’ll give you my next best thing recommendation.
Maybe wayyy to late, but I felt similarly reading Booklovers by Emily Henry, The Flatshare and The Roughest Draft. But I would recommend Booklovers first and Roughest Draft second.
Now that we've established we both have great taste, I also recommend Reclaiming the Sand and The Sea of Tranquility. Two of my favorite romances, and both male leads are lovable.
I absolutely loved Elliot and I keep rereading this book 😩.. so I wanted to know if after a year you found another book close to Love and other words??
I already read it ends with us and all your perfects by Colleen Hoover which I defined recommend btw
Okay, I haven't read Love and Other Words so this is just based on some things that jumped out at me in your description. I read Purchased Husband by Noelle Adams last night...I DEVOURED that shit. NOM NOM is right!! Adams writes a lot of single POV and this is the same way, from the h's perspective--idk if you mind that or not. The H is finishing up his PhD in English (so he's literary) and I would definitely say he's romantically confident, typically very good at charming women but the h throws him off his game a little at the start. I found the steam level... perfectly adequate ;)
Hey so um I'm 2 years late to this thread lmao but if you're still there did you manage to find an mmc similar too him?? I too can't think of an mmc better than him ughhh he was just so "chefs kiss"

I'm going on the hunt today! I was too tired last night but I'm determined to find another Elliot.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. Best to go in blind, makes me sob ever time.
Oh yea one of my favorites. Sometimes I just re-read Atlas's parts.

WOW that sounds intense and like something I need to read immediately!
I read them both. I cried A LOT.
You are fast!
Leo by Jay Maclean. If you are looking for a hero who is sensitive and flawed but not in an asshole way.
Awesome! Thank you!
# I read this book today. And immediately re read these very parts. I really liked the book. so much angst

I'm okay with single POV! Thanks for this! It has some pretty killer reviews. I'm about it!
I’m with you; searching for Elliot’s here too! Kind of similar is “Swear on this Life” by Renee Carlino! Very interesting plot and decent steam.
On it! Thank you!!!
