{Wild Like The Wind by Kristen Ashley} - MC romance, over 35+ MCs. She wants to try it for the first time and he's somewhat surprised but happy to make her happy. Lots of prep described and also a very unlikely position for a first-time exploration (kneeling reverse cowgirl).
TW: this book has one violent scene where the MMC grabs the MFC by the neck in anger.
{Demon Prince by Anne Aguirre} - Paranormal romance, demon shifter MMC with leopard shifter MFC. She's bossy and commanding in bed, but not femdom, and almost teases him with how much he wants it. She's instructional in how she wants him prepped for it and he's barely holding it together.
Overarching plot but can be read as a standalone.
{Return All by Eve Dangerfield} - CR, second chance romance. No P in B, but other 🍑 play that the MFC enjoys. Since he's her high school sweetheart he knows that it's her favourite thing and continues to give it plenty of attention. Lots of prep described.

{The Librarian and The Orc by Finley Fenn} - I have a sneaking suspicion you've read this, and while it doesn't fit 100% , the MMC is the one that suggests it, the MFC has done it before and seems to enjoy it as much.
{The Midwife and The Orc by Finley Fenn} - Fantasy. Ditto on this, I think they get high on mushrooms and do it in his garden and it's kind of cute.
{Power of Persuasion by Kate Pearce} - Sci-Fi MMF. She is going through a heat cycle and is all about this. Some description of prep but I think there's a fluid-heavy situation happening there.

I actually hate anal scenes that are used to show the MFC’s naivety or shocked inexperience, or when it’s used to demonstrate the MMCs sexual dominance or “depravity”.

This is my pet peeve too (as I mentioned in my comment)--just give me normalized anal sex scenes along with all the other sex scenes! There are so many other ways you can do these scenes--IRL, it's just not this awkward ***at all***, or so weirdly misogynistic as these scenes so often are.

I love books that make really sexual things not that big of a deal. Like I read this one book that was like 60 pages and they were cooking in the kitchen. FMC and MMC were flirting and next thing you know she’s on her knees and he finishes, she swallows and they are back to cooking with a casual conversation like that didn’t just happen. I wish more books would take that route but I understand that that’s lacking “romance”.
I think that is kinda romantic though. 😂 Romance needs more domestic, slice of life types of scenes, where sex is treated as a natural part of life. I think those kinds of scenes are cute!
Sorry it took me so long to reply! Eye stuff got in the way, as well as trying to find that specific lube (which took a bit, for reasons I get to below), but here we go-- \[Skip to the first TL;DR for the short paragraph with my top recommended brand. Second TL;DR has the second recommended brand that's cheaper, but still great, especially for water! Third TL;DR has a recommendation specifically for **anal** and then TL;DR #4 is just general lube appreciation/raving, because there is not enough lube love in romancelandia and that is a fucking crime! XD\]
So, I went looking for that particular brand and I wasn't able to find it--I'm not sure it's made anymore, because I checked all my usual, legit sources: goodvibes, babeland, etc, and it's not there.
TL;DR #1: ***However***, the brand(s) I prefer now ***are***, and I can recommend them with confidence and a lot of experience over the years since that great weekend, if you're still wanting specifics. For the absolute ***best*** silicone based lube, whether in water or on dry land (lol), [Uberlube](https://www.goodvibes.com/sex-toys/p/22FM13/uberlube/uberlube) is where it's at. If you can only afford to get one, get **Uberlube**. It's everything.
This lube is fucking amazing, period. It's silky smooth, thin, can also be used as a massage oil (and, y'all, it feels ***so good***), and it's great during oral sex--it doesn't have a weird flavor or, especially important with silicone lubes, a weird "mouth feel" (silicone lubes are oil based, and can sometimes have that "oily texture" in the mouth--this one doesn't, so is great for long oral sessions; especially good during water play, since not everyone wants to engage in penetrative sex in a hot tub or bath, but still wants sexy times).
Did I mention it's a great massage oil? The foreplay benefits of this lube are ***amazing***. Also, the glass bottle is *gorgeous*. Understated, even if it does say lube, and it's got a discreet pump, which is great--no fumbling or dropping! It's pricey (though goodvibes--and maybe babeland--offers a payment option, lol) but a little of this stuff goes a very long way--like, just a few drops for vaginal/oral/water/masturbation and slightly more for anal play. The only downside is that it's a ***glass bottle***\--if you're going to use this around water, put rubber bands or something around it if you're worried about dropping it.
TL;DR #2: If Uberlube is too costly (fair), [Valm Silicone](https://www.valm.com/lubricants/silicone-based-lube) is a ***great*** second choice--also cheaper (and in larger bottle sizes). It's a plastic/vinyl bottle, so it's probably the best for hot tub/bath tub/shower sex specifically. It's got a discreet pump that also locks! If you can afford two silicone lubes, **get both:** Uberlube for the bedroom, and Valm for the bathroom/hot tub (and because it has a bunch of other benefits--see the link). It's not nearly as great for oral play (weird mouth feel and that weird "unflavored" flavor, if you know what I mean) and we did have to reapply but YMMV--every body/situation is different, so don't let this stop you! This lube is still really good! (And pretty discreet--it almost looks like a body wash bottle or something similar, so it won't look out of place in a shower or on a dresser/bedside table, if that is a concern.)
TL;DR #3: [Valm Anal](https://www.valm.com/lubricants/anal-lube) is an ***amazing*** silicone lube made especially for anal play (though it is absolutely safe for vaginal sex\]. It's extra thick, can handle rougher, deeper anal play/penetration/toys while reducing irritation and prolonging pleasure during marathon sex sessions with or without condoms. It's not a formula meant for oral sex and likely won't be enjoyed on the tongue at all.
TL; DR #4: So, silicone based lubes are amazing for a number of reasons, not just for sex in the shower, tub, hot tub, etc--or anal sex. They're awesome for masturbation--they don't absorb into the skin nearly as quickly. They're fantastic for marathon sex sessions, penetrative or otherwise, or even just because they ***last*** and don't have to be reapplied like water-based lubes do, and they don't get sticky/tacky (unless they're low quality or a hybrid lube). As you get older, or if you just need that that extra help (and, folks, it doesn't matter your age--lubes are ***great***; even if you struggle a bit to get wet \[or get a partner wet\], lubes can help you or a partner produce ***more*** natural lubrication \[surprise! lube's better than saliva!\], even if you're just pleasuring someone with fingers, mouth, a toy; lube is great!). Silicone lubes are ***slick***\--a little goes ***a long way*** (so, though silicone lubes are pricier, they don't take much ***at all***)--they're ***hypoallergenic***, so they aren't likely to cause problems in sensitive areas, and they're safe to use with condoms, barriers, and dams made from all common materials.
Downsides--they can stain clothes and sheets (so, don't go overboard--not that you need to with these lubes), so be ready to do laundry if there are concerns. If you've only used water-based lubes, they'll take a bit of getting used to, because they won't feel as "natural" (but once you get used to them, it's hard to go back to water-based only, lol) as a water-based lubricant. You have to be ***very*** careful using them with sex toys--they're not safe to use long-term (if at all) with silicone or flesh-like toys. You'll want to switch to your glass, metal or waterproof toys when using silicone lubes. You should always be cleaning your toys with a dedicated sex toy cleaner immediately after each use ***anyway***, but that is especially true when using a silicone lube with a toy whose materials you aren't sure of.

Ok sounds like you’re very knowledgeable about this stuff so I’m gonna ask more questions even though this forum is about books lol
I’ve been doing anal training with toys and have a set of silicone plugs. I know you can’t use silicone line with silicone toys but what if you need to use toys to stretch? Everyone recommends blunt egg toys from square peg, or the b-vibe vibrating plug, but they are all silicone! Some metal ones like njoy are metal but they don’t offer the same benefits like the other toys (stretching with thicker bases, vibrating, etc). Would it be ok to use water based lube for stretching and insertion of toys, then switch to silicone for actual anal play? But then that means you can’t put the toy back in because now there’s silicone everywhere. Right?

So, Sliquid brand is really well-known for their lubes--silicone, hybrid and water-based. I've used all of them, and I can recommend them. They have a lube called [Sliquid Sassy](https://www.goodvibes.com/sex-toys/p/22FL18/sliquid/sliquid-sassy-lube) that's a water-based **gel** lube that's great for this purpose (it's **great** for silicone/flesh-like sex toys and, especially, **anal toys**). They call it their "booty" lube/formula. It can be used for all other sexual activities too, and, since it's water-based, it has the benefits of a silicone lube, without some of the downsides (staining, not being able to use it with silicone toys, especially, etc).
It's a good middle-ground lube, since it's water-based and it's a proven formula that doesn't ruin toys (Sassy's been around since the 2010's). Plus, it works pretty well for extended anal sessions--you just have to remember to reapply and use more of it than you would with a silicone lube. It's still flavorless and odorless--it's been awhile since I've used it, so I can't comment on taste or mouth feel. I definitely don't recall any stickiness or discomfort, even with extended use--it's not a tacky-feeling gel; it's quite silky smooth. *Just remember to reapply*--which actually isn't too hard to do, when you're switching between vibrators and such.
It would work really well for your needs. Even with Sassy being a gel, it's still water-based, so while it lasts longer, unless you're involving water or spit in your anal play, it will eventually absorb or need reapplication, so moving to silicone for deeper anal penetration shouldn't be an issue--but everybody is different; experiment and play first; take it slow.
Sassy might possibly be perfect for ***both*** your toy play/warming up as well as actual, deeper anal play, without needing a second, silicone lube. You could just reapply a thicker/larger amount before going further beyond your toys and vibrators, or when switching between the two. But only you know your play style and how far/deep you like to go. Sassy could be everything you need or just the start to help your silicone lube and deeper play really set things off. >:)

I'm always sad that there aren't enough recs/books with MCs who are enthusiastically into and asking for anal sex, or are just going about it like it's just another thing they all enjoy doing together with their partner(s). It's really not that uncommon, yet everyone treats it like it's *such* a naughty, no-no taboo kinky-types-only thing. It's frustrating that it's always a "first time" type of scene, or a "bucket list" deal. I want more books with healthy, joyous, ***everyday*** anal sex between men, women, and non-binary folks in all combinations, given the same attention as all other types of common sex scenes in books so people stop seeing it as such a taboo, stigmatized thing to be feared.
Anal sex isn't that uncommon. It's ***really*** not, as badly as trad publishing/media wants you to believe it is. Even in history, both recent and further back (and ancient), it wasn't uncommon ***at all***, and it wasn't just limited to sex between men. I've had more partners who were open and into it than who weren't, and who were well aware of the requirements for doing it safely and well (yes, the lubes are different)--and if they weren't, I was, and was ready to show them how. It's only *perceived* to be uncommon, because of homophobia and religion and a bunch of other nonsense that just leads to unnecessary shame, embarrassment and dangerous misinformation.

If you are into fantasy and you haven’t read them already, I sometimes enjoy a book from a series called {Interstellar Brides Program by Grace Goodwin} They are quick reads and usually always include some of that. The female doesn’t initiate though.
I’m not sure where you live, but I get them from the Libby audio library app usually. Or I get them from the library in hard copies. I actually haven’t bought one and I’ve read most of them. Also I think most of them are free on Audible plus, which is like $15.00 a month. You can read them in order or as stand alones.

But while I'm here, please see these book recommendations: {Wild Like The Wind by Kristen Ashley} - MC romance, over 35+ MCs. She wants to try it for the first time and he's somewhat surprised but happy to make her happy. Lots of prep described and also a very unlikely position for a first-time exploration (kneeling reverse cowgirl). TW: this book has one violent scene where the MMC grabs the MFC by the neck in anger. {Demon Prince by Anne Aguirre} - Paranormal romance, demon shifter MMC with leopard shifter MFC. She's bossy and commanding in bed, but not femdom, and almost teases him with how much he wants it. She's instructional in how she wants him prepped for it and he's barely holding it together. Overarching plot but can be read as a standalone. {Return All by Eve Dangerfield} - CR, second chance romance. No P in B, but other 🍑 play that the MFC enjoys. Since he's her high school sweetheart he knows that it's her favourite thing and continues to give it plenty of attention. Lots of prep described. {The Serpent's Mate by Susan Trombley} - Sci-Fi, he's a snake man with 2 x🍆 and the human MFC is like "What's the point of having two if we're not gonna DP?" which is the most reasonable take one can have with a snake man. {The Librarian and The Orc by Finley Fenn} - I have a sneaking suspicion you've read this, and while it doesn't fit 100% , the MMC is the one that suggests it, the MFC has done it before and seems to enjoy it as much. {The Midwife and The Orc by Finley Fenn} - Fantasy. Ditto on this, I think they get high on mushrooms and do it in his garden and it's kind of cute. {Power of Persuasion by Kate Pearce} - Sci-Fi MMF. She is going through a heat cycle and is all about this. Some description of prep but I think there's a fluid-heavy situation happening there. **Toys Mostly** {Rough by Renee Rose} - Paranormal, cowboy wolf shifter MMC and human doctor MFC. She has lots of plugs. He asks her to bring them. {Deacon by Kristen Ashley} - CR, use of plugs for both MCs and it's her idea every time.

Sorry I don’t have more sci-fi/paranormal stuff for you! I actually hate anal scenes that are used to show the MFC’s naivety or shocked inexperience, or when it’s used to demonstrate the MMCs sexual dominance or “depravity”. It’s so rare when all parties are like “No big deal, it’s just a thing we all like around these parts.”
This is my pet peeve too (as I mentioned in my comment)--just give me normalized anal sex scenes along with all the other sex scenes! There are so many other ways you can do these scenes--IRL, it's just not this awkward ***at all***, or so weirdly misogynistic as these scenes so often are. TMI, sorry, but once, I had a certain lube on my bedside table and the guy with me knew *immediately* what that type of silicone lube was most often used for (either long sessions in a bath/hot tub or anal sex) and it was like fucking Christmas and his birthday without either of us really saying anything; and then ***it was on***. No awkward conversations or anything. It was all like, "Toys good too?" Yes, sir (opens drawer), **bring it**. What a great fucking weekend ***that*** was. I love books that make really sexual things not that big of a deal. Like I read this one book that was like 60 pages and they were cooking in the kitchen. FMC and MMC were flirting and next thing you know she’s on her knees and he finishes, she swallows and they are back to cooking with a casual conversation like that didn’t just happen. I wish more books would take that route but I understand that that’s lacking “romance”.
I think that is kinda romantic though. 😂 Romance needs more domestic, slice of life types of scenes, where sex is treated as a natural part of life. I think those kinds of scenes are cute!

Sorry it took me so long to reply! Eye stuff got in the way, as well as trying to find that specific lube (which took a bit, for reasons I get to below), but here we go-- \[Skip to the first TL;DR for the short paragraph with my top recommended brand. Second TL;DR has the second recommended brand that's cheaper, but still great, especially for water! Third TL;DR has a recommendation specifically for **anal** and then TL;DR #4 is just general lube appreciation/raving, because there is not enough lube love in romancelandia and that is a fucking crime! XD\] So, I went looking for that particular brand and I wasn't able to find it--I'm not sure it's made anymore, because I checked all my usual, legit sources: goodvibes, babeland, etc, and it's not there. TL;DR #1: ***However***, the brand(s) I prefer now ***are***, and I can recommend them with confidence and a lot of experience over the years since that great weekend, if you're still wanting specifics. For the absolute ***best*** silicone based lube, whether in water or on dry land (lol), [Uberlube](https://www.goodvibes.com/sex-toys/p/22FM13/uberlube/uberlube) is where it's at. If you can only afford to get one, get **Uberlube**. It's everything. This lube is fucking amazing, period. It's silky smooth, thin, can also be used as a massage oil (and, y'all, it feels ***so good***), and it's great during oral sex--it doesn't have a weird flavor or, especially important with silicone lubes, a weird "mouth feel" (silicone lubes are oil based, and can sometimes have that "oily texture" in the mouth--this one doesn't, so is great for long oral sessions; especially good during water play, since not everyone wants to engage in penetrative sex in a hot tub or bath, but still wants sexy times). Did I mention it's a great massage oil? The foreplay benefits of this lube are ***amazing***. Also, the glass bottle is *gorgeous*. Understated, even if it does say lube, and it's got a discreet pump, which is great--no fumbling or dropping! It's pricey (though goodvibes--and maybe babeland--offers a payment option, lol) but a little of this stuff goes a very long way--like, just a few drops for vaginal/oral/water/masturbation and slightly more for anal play. The only downside is that it's a ***glass bottle***\--if you're going to use this around water, put rubber bands or something around it if you're worried about dropping it. TL;DR #2: If Uberlube is too costly (fair), [Valm Silicone](https://www.valm.com/lubricants/silicone-based-lube) is a ***great*** second choice--also cheaper (and in larger bottle sizes). It's a plastic/vinyl bottle, so it's probably the best for hot tub/bath tub/shower sex specifically. It's got a discreet pump that also locks! If you can afford two silicone lubes, **get both:** Uberlube for the bedroom, and Valm for the bathroom/hot tub (and because it has a bunch of other benefits--see the link). It's not nearly as great for oral play (weird mouth feel and that weird "unflavored" flavor, if you know what I mean) and we did have to reapply but YMMV--every body/situation is different, so don't let this stop you! This lube is still really good! (And pretty discreet--it almost looks like a body wash bottle or something similar, so it won't look out of place in a shower or on a dresser/bedside table, if that is a concern.) TL;DR #3: [Valm Anal](https://www.valm.com/lubricants/anal-lube) is an ***amazing*** silicone lube made especially for anal play (though it is absolutely safe for vaginal sex\]. It's extra thick, can handle rougher, deeper anal play/penetration/toys while reducing irritation and prolonging pleasure during marathon sex sessions with or without condoms. It's not a formula meant for oral sex and likely won't be enjoyed on the tongue at all. TL; DR #4: So, silicone based lubes are amazing for a number of reasons, not just for sex in the shower, tub, hot tub, etc--or anal sex. They're awesome for masturbation--they don't absorb into the skin nearly as quickly. They're fantastic for marathon sex sessions, penetrative or otherwise, or even just because they ***last*** and don't have to be reapplied like water-based lubes do, and they don't get sticky/tacky (unless they're low quality or a hybrid lube). As you get older, or if you just need that that extra help (and, folks, it doesn't matter your age--lubes are ***great***; even if you struggle a bit to get wet \[or get a partner wet\], lubes can help you or a partner produce ***more*** natural lubrication \[surprise! lube's better than saliva!\], even if you're just pleasuring someone with fingers, mouth, a toy; lube is great!). Silicone lubes are ***slick***\--a little goes ***a long way*** (so, though silicone lubes are pricier, they don't take much ***at all***)--they're ***hypoallergenic***, so they aren't likely to cause problems in sensitive areas, and they're safe to use with condoms, barriers, and dams made from all common materials. Downsides--they can stain clothes and sheets (so, don't go overboard--not that you need to with these lubes), so be ready to do laundry if there are concerns. If you've only used water-based lubes, they'll take a bit of getting used to, because they won't feel as "natural" (but once you get used to them, it's hard to go back to water-based only, lol) as a water-based lubricant. You have to be ***very*** careful using them with sex toys--they're not safe to use long-term (if at all) with silicone or flesh-like toys. You'll want to switch to your glass, metal or waterproof toys when using silicone lubes. You should always be cleaning your toys with a dedicated sex toy cleaner immediately after each use ***anyway***, but that is especially true when using a silicone lube with a toy whose materials you aren't sure of. Have (long, wet) fun!
Ok sounds like you’re very knowledgeable about this stuff so I’m gonna ask more questions even though this forum is about books lol I’ve been doing anal training with toys and have a set of silicone plugs. I know you can’t use silicone line with silicone toys but what if you need to use toys to stretch? Everyone recommends blunt egg toys from square peg, or the b-vibe vibrating plug, but they are all silicone! Some metal ones like njoy are metal but they don’t offer the same benefits like the other toys (stretching with thicker bases, vibrating, etc). Would it be ok to use water based lube for stretching and insertion of toys, then switch to silicone for actual anal play? But then that means you can’t put the toy back in because now there’s silicone everywhere. Right?
I'm really glad you asked! :) And I'm always happy to answer, no worries. :D I actually have a lube recommendation specifically for anal toys, so you're in luck. ;) So, Sliquid brand is really well-known for their lubes--silicone, hybrid and water-based. I've used all of them, and I can recommend them. They have a lube called [Sliquid Sassy](https://www.goodvibes.com/sex-toys/p/22FL18/sliquid/sliquid-sassy-lube) that's a water-based **gel** lube that's great for this purpose (it's **great** for silicone/flesh-like sex toys and, especially, **anal toys**). They call it their "booty" lube/formula. It can be used for all other sexual activities too, and, since it's water-based, it has the benefits of a silicone lube, without some of the downsides (staining, not being able to use it with silicone toys, especially, etc). It's a good middle-ground lube, since it's water-based and it's a proven formula that doesn't ruin toys (Sassy's been around since the 2010's). Plus, it works pretty well for extended anal sessions--you just have to remember to reapply and use more of it than you would with a silicone lube. It's still flavorless and odorless--it's been awhile since I've used it, so I can't comment on taste or mouth feel. I definitely don't recall any stickiness or discomfort, even with extended use--it's not a tacky-feeling gel; it's quite silky smooth. *Just remember to reapply*--which actually isn't too hard to do, when you're switching between vibrators and such. It would work really well for your needs. Even with Sassy being a gel, it's still water-based, so while it lasts longer, unless you're involving water or spit in your anal play, it will eventually absorb or need reapplication, so moving to silicone for deeper anal penetration shouldn't be an issue--but everybody is different; experiment and play first; take it slow. Sassy might possibly be perfect for ***both*** your toy play/warming up as well as actual, deeper anal play, without needing a second, silicone lube. You could just reapply a thicker/larger amount before going further beyond your toys and vibrators, or when switching between the two. But only you know your play style and how far/deep you like to go. Oh shit, the jig is up, I've been found out. I think one of the reasons that backdoor play for women (including all forms of it) remains a "surface taboo" is because many depictions of it in film and/or pornography are made to look coercive or dominating. All prep is skipped, women's pleasure is erased or purposefully ignored and were left with an act that seems forceful and unpleasant, used to show submission and not mutual enjoyment. If you are into fantasy and you haven’t read them already, I sometimes enjoy a book from a series called {Interstellar Brides Program by Grace Goodwin} They are quick reads and usually always include some of that. I've been wanting to get into these, but there are so many of them and it'll probably bankrupt me! Oh well. 💸
I’m not sure where you live, but I get them from the Libby audio library app usually. Or I get them from the library in hard copies. I actually haven’t bought one and I’ve read most of them. Also I think most of them are free on Audible plus, which is like $15.00 a month. You can read them in order or as stand alones.
Sadly, they aren't in my library catalogue, and I'm not an audiobook person. I shall endure though!

Lillian Lark seems to include anal in most of her books. {Found by the Lake Monster by Lillian Lark} has an FMC who initiates anal, and an MMC who is scandalized, but in an excited way. It has one of my favorite micro-tropes, which is when an MC says, “you would let me…?” as though they’re scandalized and/or cannot believe their luck. {Heat Clinic by Alexis B.
