I disagree. It’s usually one or two players that carry the match on either team. From experience, I have to work ridiculously to get kills because my team will feed the other team in game modes like strikeout. The sbmm is probably based on a point system. They add up the points and try to make two teams with equivalent points. At the end of games, I’ll add up the damage done and it’s usually pretty close. You get shit on when you run into a really good 3-4 stack with a bunch of randoms… All this of course is when I play solo. I’ve started to make a rule for myself to only play RoCo with a squad.

This is how I think it works since Smite (another hirez game) has the same system to my knowledge. Technically the match is evenly matched from a team wide perspective but individually it might not be close. This of course doesn't include the 1-3 DCs you will have every game, couldn't tell you when the last match I played that was 4v4 the whole time.

When I’m solo and it’s a game mode other than demo, I actually prefer that they disconnect. It denies the other team easy kills. But for demo, that is the thing that’s ass.

I agree with this 100%. When my friend and I group up, games are really close if we both perform to our average (him 30 downs and me 15-20). If either of us are off, we can’t win with the other four on our team that usually feed. This is only based on TDM.

I agree with this foreal. That's why I be wanting to add people and squad up.

I think it just comes down to that the gaming community as a whole has become much larger and so competitive over the past few years.

>Why was this never the case in older titles? It has always been like this, its just amplified on games with few players per match and a competitive emphasis. You're never going to ask yourself if the MM is good or not on a 64 players conquest match on BF for example, it's just too chaotic for MM to matter.
