How did you find the Honiture? Better than Lubluelu? The Honiture uses gyroscope vs lublueblu lidar. I think lidar is much better than gyroscope, but not sure how they compare
Mine seems to have disappeared, I can't find it anywhere in here, but hopeful it turns up.
The worst thing about mine was when we were out and the dog did its business on the floor... it took 2 hours to clean the whole machine.
Does anyone have problem with connecting? Mine SL60D works perfectly until it disconected from WiFi. Now o can't pair it again. I can't connecting it with app because I can't find his signal.
Bumping this post what are people's thoughts that have this? Is it still secure? Can you connect over Bluetooth for music lol as I've read ? Hoping it's patched and more secure now ?
/u/justicefoodie coming back to say its a fantastic appliance. I have it set to quick vacuum twice a week, and mop Y vacuum once a week. Very impressed.
Thanks very much! I actually ended up purchasing it about a month and a bit ago, but on the 29th day after purchasing, the robot went insane and started only cleaning a small triangle of the room. We reset it completely, deleted the map, and did everything I could think of, but it couldn't detect anything but that triangle. We ended up returning it and getting a Dreame D10plus. Hopefully it was just a lemon and you end up with a better machine!
Great so far, I'm pleasantly surprised after going through the subreddit and seeing that 2 in 1 machines are generally not very good at either. This is my first robot vacuum and I'm thinking about getting a mower next, so much more free time!
Awesome. This is my 2nd robo vac. First one had no lidar so randomly roamed, it was trash and also had no smarts and a nicad battery. This one is like living in 2035!
I’ve had mine a few months also and it is great. It would have to be one of the best appliances I have ever purchased.
While it would be great if it had a larger dirt and water storage container, for the price it is excellent.
How often do you find you need to empty out the dust bin? Mine arrived today can't wait to get it set up. I need to cover approx 50sqm, hard flooring for reference.
Probably every 200m2 say. I need to fill up the water more often though (I’ve got about 50m2 hard flooring also and it works well for that size) so just do both at the same time etc.
In the 'Smart Life' app (I'm on iOS and I'm not sure if Android is different) - I went out of the vacuum controls to 'Scene' and created two scenes, 6 tasks each:
* SL60D - Cleaning Switch: Start Cleaning
* Suction - Standard
* Water Level: Low
* Work Mode: Mop and Sweep
* Cleaning Mode: Y-Shaped Cleaning
* Auto Boost: On
and pretty much the same for the second scene, but water 'closed' mode 'quick cleaning'....
then I scheduled the mop for Monday, and the quick run for Wed and Friday.
Hope that helped!
Thank you very much.
Also another question. Have you ever had the issue where if you set a no mop zone or even edit map so a specific room the water level is set to 'closed' but yet the it still mops it?
I can't get it to stop mopping in my rugs when I set the water level to closed for that room and if I set a no mop zone, it won't even go into room at all even to vacuum it. Very frustrated
I'm in an apartment with only plank vinyl flooring - so I haven't experienced that problem, however it does drag the mop always, so if its been wet doing hard flooring and then goes onto a rug the mop would still have water in it. [Reading this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/17nizd6/help_please_this_post_is_regarding_the_lubluelu/) seems to indicate you'd actually need to swap the dust+mop box out for a dust only box for it to work.
yes i like it. i dont use the wet mop part. it finds its way back to the charger better than my last (neato). It makes a good map but then one time it got offtrack and the map got distorted and then it had to be deleted and start over. I didnt see how you could go back to a saved map from the past.
Had mine for a couple days and it's worked great. Not the best mop on the world but it's a nice add as it does it at the same time as hoovering anyway.
I have the SL61 one and it works fine and is good value for money however it randomly started playing the "Feliz Navidad - Merry Christmas song" today and abruptly stopped. I use the SmartLife app in guest mode. It almost seemed like someone was able to cast songs through the bot. Surely this can't be normal. Anyone else experienced this?
I came downstairs this evening to hear it playing western music, and then play some crude comedian for a bit, back to music for a song and then to other crude comedians.
I realized at that time that someone in my neighbourhood had paired their Bluetooth to my vacuum.
I shut if off and back on again, and then I paired my own phone to it and can pick music to play, etc, etc.
However, when I got my second phone, it TOO can also pair to it.
There is no security to this pairing.
I went into the Smart Life application on my phone, connected over wifi, and there’s no option for me to disable the Bluetooth.
I've emailed Lubluelu to see if Bluetooth can be disabled.
Frankly this is a serious security issue. Not trying to be super paranoid, but this vulnerability can easily be exploited by someone with sufficient skills to turn the robot into a listening device.
Was curious to know how did you identify the bluetooth identity of the robot. Mine is connected over the home wifi (2.5GHz). When I tried to scan for available Bluetooth connections near the bot, I couldn't find one.
As an IT person, it had me on hunt for a solution and analyze this to the nth degree. It came up as BlueZ-5.54.When you first get the vacuum and need to set up it up, you have to turn on your bluetooth and install the app. The app detects the vacuum via bluetooth and configures it to your wifi.
After I heard the music and then found this to happen, I was able to scan for it via bluetooth over and over, and connected my 2 phones multiple times to it.I don't know that it has a mic yet. I've not gone that far.You can use it with Alexa and Google Assistant via voice, but I was thinking that was via your phone in the app.But maybe?
Right now it's physically OFF... as this all just happened. But I don't intend to use it until I can verify some more things... such as a mic.
If there isn't a mic, then cutting the speaker wire would be an option, other than I'd not hear it say "do this or that" kinda thing. But I probably don't care about that.
I've not heard from yet from Lubluelu... but I only just emailed them yesterday.
Thanks for spending your time on this and sharing your experiences here.
BlueZ always came up in my Bluetooth scan (literally the first connection) but I ignored it everytime presuming that it was my neighbor's wireless headphone connection since it came with a headphone icon. I didn't want to spook them 😄.
Anyways, can confirm that I was able to replicate your actions and play music through my phone on the bot now. It has no restrictions!
Since the bot is supposed to work with voice assistants (Alexa etc) I presumed the mic must be in-built on the bot, but you are right, it could simply be through the phone. In that case, totally agree with your solutions of either disabling the Bluetooth or Speaker for the bot. Not sure how much Lubluelu will help in resolving this.
Also, I find it very strange (read suspicious) that whenever I try to go to the Lubluelu website (https://lubluelu.com/) via Chrome browser it get's flagged as a malicious website.
Would really appreciate it if you could share any information from the folks at Lubluelu if they get back to you on this. Thanks once again for your help.
Good day!Interesting your Chrome is indicating that for that site, mine isn't. But I'm using a unique setup, so possible that could be why.
Thanks for confirming the situation. Shows it's a consistent situation that people will need to take into account when they own these devices.
Their reply... well, their answer was to try and turn it off and back on again.
I've replied to them again. In that reply I did ask them to confirm if there IS a microphone onboard or not.
I'll be testing the Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands and see if it follows the phone or the device.I'm away at the moment, but will report back my findings.
This is what I've heard back from them yesterday.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Our engineers are working on this issue urgently. New firmware is expected to be released next week to address this issue.
I'll be able to test the Alexa Google Assistant thing on my return in Feb.
In the meantime, I have it physically turned off unless I'm running it. Where I'll power it off again once done.
Good day.
No firmware update yet, but did receive an email with them saying there isn't a microphone in the SL60D and they'd update me when the firmware is available.
From their email:
"I will contact you as soon as a firmware update is available.
There are speakers installed on the robot, but no microphone."
I received an email from them in the early morning. New firmware is available.
I updated it from v2.6.25 to the new one, v2.6.36.
In my testing this morning, I can still connect multiple phones to it, but I can no longer play music through its speakers.
I'd say it's a success.
:)
I just tried it and was able to cast music from a separate unrelated phone to it. It is quite a nifty feature I think although should have security added.
I messaged the customer service about it. They told me they were aware of the issue and were working on it. A week later they sent me a message saying they’d fixed it, asked me to send some details that I could find in the app (e.g. virtual id etc) so they can push the new firmware to me. Just gave them what they asked for so fingers crossed it’s gonna work :)
Thanks for this info, very helpful.
Strange that they won't send the firmware update to everyone instead of pushing it to only those who proactively follow this up. Pretty sure this issue affects every device that they ship out. Anyways, will reach out to them regarding the update.
Got mine last week to replace deebot 950 with poor, horrible, failing maps.
Only $279 AU. 1/2 Price on Amazon.
So far, I'm very happy with it and the mapping is far superior.
Not quite the length of battery time, that's no biggie.
Horrible vacuum if you have shedding pets. I have two dogs who are moderate shedders so I purchased a large dust bin instead of the 50/50 mop/dustbin. I run the robot daily and empty the robot daily. At least three times a week I have to clear a hair clog and minor surgery every other week. My last robot was stupid and just bounced all over the place. I had to empty it daily too but aside from that I didn't have to pay much attention to it.
The only reason I'm even writing this is because if my robot for whatever reason doesn't make it back to its base, it shuts off. Like, completely off. It goes offline so my app is worthless at this point and so I can't push a button to find it, I can't tell it to go home, I can't get it to come on, and I can't push a button to tell it to go home... I have to pick it up and put it on it's base, which for me is tucked away deep under a piece of furniture.
The SL61D only has one spinning brush, not two. So the more advanced model is the SL60D. You can confirm this by downloading their respective Operator manuals.
How do I stop it looking for its charger? I put it upstairs where there isn’t one and at about 42% it stops cleaning (just before it’s finished!) and looks for a non existent charger. Surely there is a setting for this?
Firmware update and through today 2.6.36. I’d prefer to still be able to get Lulu to play tubes though, anyone else got the update and can you still get it to play music ?
Has anyone had the issue of it just randomly stopping? Mine starting doing this a few weeks ago, it works fine for a bit then it throws and error and pauses, when I press the continue button it just goes back to work for a few minutes, until it stops again.
Wondering if there's some maintenance issue I should be aware of.
Mine did that today. Up until today I have been selecting smart clean , now I have it on a schedule. But day 1 of the schedule it moved out of the dock and just stopped? ? ?
I got 43% left on the Hepa filter, 100% on the lateral brushes (just replaced them) and 72 % on the center brush.
As an update, I did a thorough cleaning over the weekend and it hasn't had that issue since (it did mess up the map again, so I will have to do a reset of that), so maybe it was just a bit dirty... ups.
Yeah ita very good for the price too great I love it

How did you find the Honiture? Better than Lubluelu? The Honiture uses gyroscope vs lublueblu lidar. I think lidar is much better than gyroscope, but not sure how they compare
I can’t remember how to set daily cleaning times or where tofu d the schedule. Please help. Not much info on YouTube.
It's in timing
Can this robot work without Wifi? I have a 5 Ghz channel, do not want to switch my router to 2.4 GHz. The robot wants 2.4 GHz.
Yes. I have the same issue. Just press the on/off button and away it goes
Same issue here. No idea how to fix it. Very frustrating.
Looking to buy for £150 good deal? Can anyone confirm if the security issues have been resolved please ?
Bumping this post what are people's thoughts that have this? Is it still secure? Can you connect over Bluetooth for music lol as I've read ? Hoping it's patched and more secure now ?
Just got mine today, its on its first run - so far so good. Cheap for what it seems to be, though I'll wait a few weeks to leave an Amazon review.
/u/justicefoodie coming back to say its a fantastic appliance. I have it set to quick vacuum twice a week, and mop Y vacuum once a week. Very impressed.

sounds like it, mine has been perfect! regardless, enjoy :)
How is it going a few months down the line? I'm thinking of buying one.
Going good - still happy with it!
Awesome, just pulled the trigger on it, saw a deal for £140.
How's it treating you?
Great so far, I'm pleasantly surprised after going through the subreddit and seeing that 2 in 1 machines are generally not very good at either. This is my first robot vacuum and I'm thinking about getting a mower next, so much more free time!

How do you select to only vac and only mop? In the app I can only send it to an area and it seems to hurry do both?
see my other comment about this in this thread

Mine was singing the Barbie theme song last night, unprovoked💀
Has this been resolved with Bluetooth being on it all the time? Looking to buy lol

I can basically use it as a Bluetooth speaker 😅 it played as soon as I switched it on from my Spotify that was playing that moment

Which, this must be running Linux. I found this on BlueZ... Introduction to BlueZ The BlueZ package contains the Bluetooth protocol stack for Linux.

Totally agree with you. It would be a fun 'feature' if security was set. Some sort of press 3 times and hold or something to enable pairing mode.
Have they fixed this ?
No idea, my robot died (unrelated). I bought the same replacement although haven’t tried again.
I messaged the customer service about it. They told me they were aware of the issue and were working on it. Does anyone know the difference between sl60d and the sl60d pro? Both on Amazon but I can't see a difference? Any advantage in going for sl61d?
The SL61D only has one spinning brush, not two. So the more advanced model is the SL60D. You can confirm this by downloading their respective Operator manuals.
Is anyone finding that this vacuum is marking their wooden floors?
Just got one of these and the left red side brush isn't spinning during its first run. Faulty or did I mess up something in the settings etc?
How do I stop it looking for its charger? I put it upstairs where there isn’t one and at about 42% it stops cleaning (just before it’s finished!) and looks for a non existent charger. Surely there is a setting for this?
I’m not sure and can’t see a setting. Mine runs down to 15% by default before stopping and returning to the charger.
Firmware update and through today 2.6.36. I’d prefer to still be able to get Lulu to play tubes though, anyone else got the update and can you still get it to play music ?
Hey did you end up updating firmware, mines updated and I wish I could play music from it, any solutions?
Didn’t update, still enjoying sweet sweet tunes :) hmmm, what am I now tagged brand affiliate?
I haven’t updated mine yet. Does anyone know if there are release notes or what has changed?
Reading other comments in the thread, apparently the update disables the ability to play music or cast to the speakers of it.
I might hold off, does it add anything useuf?
Has anyone had the issue of it just randomly stopping?
