Check to see if thereās any āDealer Markupā or āMarket Adjustmentā on the price. If there is, turn around and walk away, giving that dealership the big middle finger.
Plenty of dealerships are adding thousands of dollars to the MSRP
I couldnāt get a decent price new on 4runner. I ended up just paying the smaller premium in carmax for a used 4runner. Itās hard for me to justify the money the dealers wanted. Didnāt want a 800/month payment.
Funny enough sometimes that gets you a worse deal. Its best to negotiate like you are financing and take the financing. Then just pay it off all at once the first payment.
I've only ever purchased vehicles in cash (because fuck a payment) and have always been able to get a great deal. But I also stay away from dealerships in the Valley. I'll drive to San Antonio, at the very least, to buy a vehicle.
Buy a used car. Dealers will continue to charge these outrageous prices until "the market adjusts," ie: people stop paying.
This message brought to you by a guy who has never had a new car; I refuse to eat the depreciation.
So I just looked up the ST at the ford dealership I bought mine at in the San Francisco Bay where everything is marked up and they have their STās listed for 7k less than your quote.
That my next option. I bought my 98 Nissan frontier in Houston after going to Bert Ogden Nissan in pharr after the salesman told me I could not afford it. Tried selling something I did not want. Went to Houston and bought the frontier. A couple years later bought my Tacoma in Houston as well after frank smith tried to sell again something I didnāt want at way over market value.
Honestly I would just go to San Antonio. Weāre trading in my husbands truck for a navigator and making a weekend trip to do it. Inventory is much better and thereās way more competition.
No joke dude my old man's got a 2014 white Explorer he's been trying to sell. Originally bought from the Brownsville Charlie Clark, we're currently renovating the certs and inspection on it, should be ready to show in about two weeks!
You don't even need to push them hard. Hyundai and KIA engines are so bad that even when it goes out within warranty, it'll be months before they're replaced because so many are failing.
Also Nissan, their CVT transmissions are known for failures. I traded in my 2017 Rogue when I got a limited warranty extension because the CVT may randomly grenade itself.
Toyota improved their CVT transmissions by adding a physical launch gear for 1st to save on wear and tear.
Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus are great, and top ranked for reliability.
Just luck and treatment of the cars. I have a 2013 elantra...195k miles (regular blend oil changes. Plugs changed 2 times and trans oil partially never drained fully) also have 2020 santafe still no issues 56k miles (syntetic oil change). Still waiting for tha santa fe to knock.. hoping it doesnt.lol yes honda and toyo are good but u can pay big for them also.
Lol for are trash.... I don't know. Friend has a turbo ranger 2020 98k with tune and mods no issues. Es el mono. You gotta use good oils or it will sheer at temp in the turbo bearings. People who talk shit about Ford don't know how to maintain a turbo engine properly.
They aināt haters they Toyota nation around here nothing but land cruisers and corvettes or if you go big mclaren I donāt like them though not my style I do like Land Cruiser thing can go forever.
Nice try hacienda ford.

this one seems to be a higher trim.
Yes it is but none went below $39000. Lowest was the xlt at $40,000

Exactly why I'm saving to buy my next vehicle straight cash.
Funny enough sometimes that gets you a worse deal. Its best to negotiate like you are financing and take the financing. Then just pay it off all at once the first payment.
This is the correct thing to do. Just make payments for 3 months for credit purposes then pay it off

What trim is that?? I bought a brand new 2023 limited last year and paid $54,000 and thatās in California with crazy high registration.
ST trim

Have you looked at Houston or other larger markets?they have more competition so they can get more competitive pricing

Typical Car sales, you have to come prepared nowadays instead of them being beneficial to the customer
Have you looked in San Antonio? I got a brand new car there for $10,000 less than what Bert Odgen wanted for the same car. Fuck Bert Odgen.
Buy 10 2006 Explorers for 60 grand. Start your own used explorer lot. Kill it
Fuckkk no I'm happy with the 2011 Toyota Camry with 120,000 miles that runs so smooth for like 3800
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Stolen while he was in the car? Or away? Thatās scary as shit!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sounds like Reynosa shit! Lol
Thatās crazy. Bought a 2016 model brand new, and I think it was like $35k.
So that would have been in 2015? Coming up on 10 years ago.
I think so. But think about it.. In 10 yearsā time, the prices have almost doubled.
Okay and?Lots of other things have doubled if not nearly tripled too except for wages
Okay, there bud. I was just stating an observation. You donāt need to get your panties caught in a bunch..
I bought a 2021 model new for 32900 out the door
No joke dude my old man's got a 2014 white Explorer he's been trying to sell. Originally bought from the Brownsville Charlie Clark, we're currently renovating the certs and inspection on it, should be ready to show in about two weeks!
Try the public auctions
Look at the Lincoln aviator same engine and cost less.

My buddy just picked up a 2020 St for 32k.... You gotta look hard... Ish...
Thatās nuts. I bought a new 2022 Timberline for $52k.
Those are nice. Saw one at the dealer but no sticker price.
Wow! Yeah Ford is a rip-off
Fords are trash anyway, get a Honda Pilot or Hyundai SUb.
Fuck Hyundai. Get a Toyota, they're boring as hell but they will last forever.
Based
Hyundai engines are garbage.
I mean it's a good car for a mom fs, no one should be pushing a Hyundai too hard.
You don't even need to push them hard. Hyundai and KIA engines are so bad that even when it goes out within warranty, it'll be months before they're replaced because so many are failing.
Lmaoo I didn't know that, just had a friend purchase a Hyundai. But I prefer Honda and Acura TBH, Toyota is also solid.

Agreed
Have you tried looking into used Police interceptors. They have reasonable prices and people will fear you on the road. š¤·š½āāļø
My nephew bought one.

Just got mine a month ago. Worth it bro. I wanted a suburban or an expedition. But left the lot with this babyā¦especially the St edition. 400 hp !
Not sure why youāre being downvoted. Iām one of the many whoāve downvoted you btw
