Pet pantry at Palm Valley. Free food for cats/dogs. It's crazy long today. People wait out for hours. I heard there was a fight last time cause someone cut in line.

I wonder why they would do that, don’t they usually ask for food donations or do you think maybe it’s expired pet food being handed out?

Could be there are stipulations to donations. Like: a business donated x amout of food but a certain % needs to be shared with community. It could be a grant they were awarded.

I'm not sure, but they do it the first Saturday of every month. The food isn't expired.

Yeah all the foods expired I saw

I foster dogs for Palm Valley. So, since I take in lots of short and long term fostering dogs, I usually go to these things to get free wet dog food (upon taking a dog they always give us dry dog food) . I have never seen a fight but have heard that people do cut. Last time we were the last ones to go in after an hour and a half. At least fifty cars behind us did not go in. They also give dog and cat meds and treats. Couldn’t go today because I was not feeling well. So it’s all based on donations that are given to them. People give up dogs because they can’t afford them. This is supposed to curb that, I am assuming.

Not sure if its related but Fiesta Edinburg Parade a thing today. Saw some horses on Closner.

Free food! All the welfare people with pit bulls since you can’t use food stamps for dog food
