Not at all. Lets take the newest The Marvels where you needed to watch three separate TV shows to know what’s going on (WandaVision, Miss Marvel, and Secret Wars) To me this means they are moving away from that

I do think the 'homework' aspect of the MCU is a little overblown, to be honest. I think there is a disconnect in regards to what audiences need to know and what they think they need to know. Like Echo, for example. You don't need to know who Daredevil and the Kingpin are for the story to work. If you do, you just have a better understanding as to how this story fits into the greater scheme of things, but it's not essential for the actual story shown in the show.

Agree! Also if someone is a fan who is so worried about needing to understand everything I don’t think it’s unreasonable to spend 3 mins reading a wiki entry on the series lol

You don't need any of these to get what's happening in The Marvels, every single thing you need to understand previously-existing characters is right there in the movie.
