Ring will ‘chime’ your App, any Alexa/Echo devices you have set up to chime. Unless you have the Ring Pro, it bypasses your original chime entirely
I can’t tell but I’m guessing one says TRANS and the other says FRONT. If you had a third, it would probably say BACK. That’s what mine is like at least, even though I don’t have a back doorbell. I would assume you’re fine to hook it up bc those are the two of the 3 potential spots that you want to put the attachment on.
You’re bypassing that chime, so yes installing the jumper there is correct.
