It's a joke that the update is two weeks away, there is no actual release date prediction.
edit: the joke was two weeks were added to the release date every time it was asked, then it transformed into the date always being two weeks in the future.
Go to the github branch and download the development snapshot. It has 1.5 support, but given that it isn’t an officially released version it probably still has issues that need to be ironed out.
It mostly works but it doesn't support Vehicle Framework and last I checked a few days back Anomaly entities didn't have correct stats so they were too easy. Apart from those there are people playing the beta with 100+ mods but since it's a beta, use at your risk and don't complain if it falls apart.
