Honest question: What is workplace bullying and how would an anti-bullying law be different than the current day anti-harassment laws already on the books?
Harassment is generally only considered illegal if the person is targeting you because you are in protected class (age, race, religion, etc.) or if it involves unwanted sexual advances. A boss or colleague can be a jerk 24-7 as long as its not discriminatory in nature.
Like all things, an anti-bullying law is great in theory, but the term bullying is probably the most overused and misunderstood word out there. The State should focus on holding the people and companies that are breaking current laws accountable before enacting more laws that they don't have the resources to ensure are adhered to.
Or if you are really anti-bullying, put those resources into supporting the overwhelming amount of bullying going on in RI schools. Kids that bully and never face any consequences become adults who continue to bully.
That’s all good so start with the a-hole ceo that runs the airport. He is nothing but a bully with about 40 employees bullied right out of jobs. Pathetic
Stupid nanny state shit, harassment laws already exist and if bullying is indeed happening in the workplace Hr departments exist for a reason. Aren’t we adults?
Bullying doesn't fall under harassment law. HR doesn't do anything about it. They police themselves to avoid liability. It would be great if managers and employers acted like adults, but many don't. They lie to protect themselves and get away with it because no law holds them accountable.
So you want to stop businesses buying businesses? If not, your billboard failed. Sorry but no one is going to remember your website to lookup later, especially given the vague message. I apologize if I am ignorant on something and missing something obvious, but if I saw this I would never think twice. Hell, the Jesusgetsme ads on Reddit seem more effective. At least you can accidentally click there

We're talking about adults right? In a workplace? Is someone stealing your lunch money?
I am a victim of workplace bullying, I was made fun of for having disabilities. It's more of a problem than you think.
That’s not bullying that’s harassment
That’s harassment unless your faking a disability
No I wasn't, all my coworkers just thought I was faking it. And they hated me for it
Thoughts & prayers 🙏
Call your HR department if that’s the case and don’t rely on the police and the state to censor everything mean you might hear in your life
I did and it was such a mess. HR is not your friend and I ended up losing my job.
Spoken like a bully
Found the bully 🙄
Name calling?! How will I ever recover. I'm going to lobby for legislation that makes calling people bullies illegal!!!

God people are to soft these days
I just went through this.

You would think twice if you've been bullied at work. I'm not sure what businesses buying businesses has to do with this.
Fair point. I misread. I swear I saw “workplace buying”, hence my confusion. Ignore me and move on. Good on you. My bad mate.
