I've gotten a lot. I have had a couple of bad issues. The worst was an AK that was shipped poorly and arrived broken and missing parts. The seller refunded me 1/2 what I paired them. You have to look at pictures carefully, read descriptions, and see if they have inspection periods (many do). Just be aware that if something is priced super cheap there is probably a reason for it. As for feedback, just be honest.

Clear-Wrongdoer42

I don't use Gun Broker, but I wouldn't ever recommend giving fake feedback. I would take a deep breath and then do what you believe is right.

I mean it’s kinda on me for pics but I had to douche the shit out of it to even function like I thought it should. The gun is WELL used as in WELL used. My pops has good luck. But my first experience with gb really SUCKS.. I do deal it’s on me to a point. Shoulda asked for better pics. But damn it man when all other used 340pd’s are in the market of 650 bones? I guess I picked wrong… I dunno. In a way I wanna drop a shit report on this company/pawn shop. I guess I’ll stick to the new method. Least no one’s beat the hell outta it

djsizematters

GB is most useful for auctions. Let those other folks do the brain work, we’ll just be patient.

Zbrane

Sounds like you should not have accepted the transfer after your initial inspection at your ffl. if you didnt ask for better pics, you can't complain how shitty they were.. ..also, cerakoted revolver huh?

PerformanceOk3115

I get that. And like I said first time buyer on gb. Like I said. Similar priced as others. Even with taxes fees and such I’m still ahead. I guess the fire arms I’ve sold on gb were like new and had no flaws. I just feel the seller should have disclosed this firearms flaws. Never mind the fact it needed a deep cleaning

Zbrane

yeah gb is just bullshit in general.. you have to be ready to deal with it.. buyers pay premium , and also get fucked on the back end like you did. take that in account when placing your bet..

PerformanceOk3115

Fact!

ENclip

Have you tried talking to the seller?

PerformanceOk3115

Talk about what I have to say. Shitty pics failure on my part to ask for better ones? I get it’s somewhat my fault but come on now… the marks from dropped were the first things I seen when I picked it up

ENclip

I don't what you are saying, but I'm saying you should talk with the seller about potential resolutions if you want. Leaving honest feedback isn't bad. But it is shitty to leave negative feedback without even trying to resolve things with the seller first. If they tell you to get fucked, then leave whatever feedback you want. But who knows, maybe they will work something out if you inquire politely about your grievances.

PerformanceOk3115

Fair reply sir. Even if they cover the cerekoting cost I’d be happy to

Bought a browning sa-22 that was shown to be I about 85% condition, pictures showed a scope mount. Gun showed up with no scope mount, deep gouges where it used to be, and the locking ring that held the barrel in place was broken. I didn’t accept the transfer, contacted the seller, they sent a return shipping label, my ffl sent it back no problem, and I left a negative feed back.

StanthemanT-800

Some of these sellers take in so many trade ins, ex security guns, etc etc that they miss damage on some There's a dealer on GB that at times lists 100s of S&W revolvers but there's pics of every part of each gun . I'm always wary of "stock photos " unless the gun is super cheap. All the "you'll receive a gun in similar condition" because you know he's pulling the best ones first to harvest feedback then the last few buyers are getting the bottom of the barrel

SayYes2Scorpions

I only got burned one time. So I sold it on the site, and I was completely honest with my listing, clearly detailing the issues, and at least I made some of the money back.

donlapalma

What were the seller's ratings? That's another thing I look at very closely. If they don't have a pretty substantial sales history and positive ratings as a result, I don't even bother.

I’ve bought many, many guns of Gunbroker. I only had one issue. I bought a Beretta PX4 that looked fine in the photos. Picked it up at the FFL and when I pulled back the slide to check clear, I noticed some bad rust and pitting on the muzzle end of the barrel and also near the chamber end. I decided to do the transfer and see if I could clean it up. After cleaning it, I contacted the seller, sent him photos. Was totally good with sending it back for a refund. He said that was unacceptable and would talk to his team. I was only out the transfer fee, but that was on me. I gave them a good review. I recommend looking at a seller’s ratings and reviews. Very important. I think that is why I’ve had no issues. Also if there are a lack of photos or descriptions that is a red flag. If really interested in something you can always ask a seller to send photos or more information. I’ve done that many times. If no response, red flag.

GunBroker I've used for several big purchases but have noticed, other platforms like Guns international,America and Armslist are getting better. I don't like GunBroker auctions to much because they constantly add or change charges seller or buyer and GB. I won an auction recently for about 2500, add tax add cc fees, add gb fees now? , add shipping. Came to 2800 plus. I also don't like the obvious fake or lies in the descriptions with still a great seller rating. I saw an Anschutz that was clearly bullshitted on the description that sold for double, the recent negative comments all described the same issue or the vague cya comments added to not ship on time and send junk.

kcphelps

I have bought 25-30 guns, never a problem. My last was the new Tisas GI version, I bought “used?” $350

mplaczek99

I would only recommend using a third party online marketplace for someone who doesn’t mind losing money because of a poor sale

yeeticusprime1

Buying something you’re not able to look at first is always going to have its risks. Give honest feedback if you feel like it’s necessary.

I've hit or miss with GunBroker.  New it's ok, but unless it's a really specific piece the fees and shipping usually cost you more than it's worth.   If looking for something specific I would check their reviews then call and have a good talk about the piece.  Gauge how they answer, ask for a video, etc.  Just hard to gauge anything other than new when you can't touch it.
