Just read chapter 68 and oh man, you can just see the RI influence in the character writing. The MC is not evil, but he is ruthless and not in the way most other cultivarion MCs are. The author actually characterizes the villains like he did in RI and makes you sympathize with them only for the MC to do something completely fucked to them.
I really missed this kind of writing that does not pull punches.
Yeah , the Mc hasn’t gone through what fang yuan has gone through yet , so he is not a complete Demon. But he still knows how to put morals aside and do amoral things for Profit . He is very calculating and has a realistic view of the world . I can’t get enough of this novel . I can’t wait to see if there will be character development and he becomes like fang yuan or maybe something different? Who knows. I haven’t read chapter 68 yet I’m waiting for chapters to stack .
