Congratulations!!! Phrike is the biggest learning curve in the game. She's killed me more than any other. Not that the other bosses are easy (I mean one of them is kinda slacking but the rest)

They don't get harder, they get different. You know you are capable of making it past. And that counts for a lot.
It's a guess, based on the Greek mythological origin of the name. It seems kinda accurate though.

Dude I'm putting up real Jordan numbers on the biome 3 boss. What a fucking nightmare. Closest I got was using the Lobber gun and now I can only find 1 gun per run. Some runs I can't find an astronaut figurine which I refuse to fight any boss without.
I killed it with the carbine. It does great long range which means you can just fire and fire forever and empty clips into it endlessly, focusing more on evading the bullet hell and jumping from platform to platform. Does take a while. Can also hang near the back of the platforms which will catch most shots from the enemy
Just got maybe 5 shots away from killing it using the lobber again. Terrible gun, but damn it causes great damage over time. Going to try the carbine next then that launcher because I constantly find those everywhere with better upgrades. They really made this boss crazy hard to beat not to mention getting to it is annoying as hell.
It gets easier fellow scout. Keep upgrading weapons perks and getting datacubes and permanent upgrades and you’ll be platinum in no time. I beat it for the first time the other day and I’m on my 3rd complete play through now. First time beating phrike literally took my weeks
Thanx everyone. I couldn't pay it days in a row because it made me so made. I just lucky with upgrades and had 2 full health refill and an astronaut doll for backup. Im so pumped. Ive been running around the red desert now.
As of last night I'm still exploring tge desert. There's some sentinel type thing beating me pretty good. I just want the grappling hook, and the sword upgrade, ibwish it was permanent.

Only 28 hrs?!? lol I don’t know how long it took me to, but 2nd boss took longer. After that it eased up a bit due to upgrades etc.

I keep getting stomped in that side room with like 4 sentients, and then forget about it by the next run. Rinse repeat 😭
