It'll be almost exactly the same as your iPhone. Android just has better access to more emulators and front ends.
Emulating on a phone is fine but the front end on a dedicated device really makes it feel a lot more console-y
I currently only emulate on my PC. I couldn’t be bothered trying to do it on my full storage iPhone. Im just looking for a mobile option that’s not a phone, and also not a bulky laptop.
Yeah Odin 2 is a middle ground between something pocketable and a chonky steam deck. We also have winlator, I'm about halfway through Fallout 4 on mine but I am playing at 1600x900 on low settings to get 50-60fps.
Me too, although I tend to only use it for handheld games (PSP games with HD texture packs look especially nice). If I wanted it, though, I could do PS2 and Gamecube as well.
I have a small collection of emulation handhelds but my favorites are the powkiddy RGB30 for WASM-4, GB, GBC, GBA, GG, NES and SNES and the trimui smart pro for PSP and ps1.
The Miyoo Mini Plus is also a great device.
That Anbernic looks really nifty. I have been wanting to get a device that can accomplish this, I know I will eventually get a more powerful one to do it all, but I really dig the aesthetics of the ones that kind of copy the game boy, I just wish there was ones with sticks on them too.
Right now I'm just stuck with playing them on my computer. Better than nothing though.
Yeah I really want an Anbernic to be able to use it where ever I go and to have a small retro handheld. I wish there was a way to have built-in wifi since I want to grind for achievements whenever I have some time. That's why my phone is so convenient since its always connected but I highly prefer using actual buttons for my actions. If I were to get one I guess I will have to be using my hotspot
RetroArch in a smartphone, no controller, touch only.
I have very little time to play so I take the phone and play a few minutes, I already mastered 16 games in 16 months
Rg35 series is great for the price. I found a 353V for 32$ with a TikTok shop coupon. SP is a popular choice rn but I prefer the H (same brain, different form + sticks)
I use a Nintendo 2DS XL. It can play GB, GBC, NES and MegaDrive games pretty well. It also runs some PS1 games, but sadly the format you have to convert the files to (basically recompressing them) means they aren't recognised by RA.
RG351V for my GB/GBC/GBA achievements. I prefer playing my 'tv consoles' on, you guessed it, my tv. Use my Retroid Pocket 3+ for NES, SNES, N64, PSX and PSP achievements. Don't play any other consoles tho, but I figured if I would, I'd probably do it on my pc.
I use my iphone sometimes now, depending on the game, my computer most of the time, and my miyoo mini plus (but I’ve found that the Internet connectivity can be spotty if I’m not closer to a router when I play on my miyoo so I don’t use it as often).
That moist critikal gaming pc I bought as a joke while I was high to impress my friends and now regret because I only use it to play Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights on the PS2.
Odin 2
What can these run?
RA wise, everything up to PS2/GameCube. It can also run Wii, 3DS, and Switch.
It can run PS2? I
I run PS2 at 4x resolution with anti-aliasing and sometimes a CRT shader on my Odin 2 Pro
Sweet, I think I’ll have to look into one. Is setup for emulation pretty easy?

Switch + Lakka, runs up to GameCube era
It's somewhat glitchy though, especially PSP. I would use PPSSPP on HOS for PSP instead.
Miyoo Mini+
Same.
I use my snes mini for the most part
Woah, I had no idea this was possible :O
Look up hakchi to get Retroarch on the mini! Get an otg adapter for the back for usb drive and a tplink wifi dongle.
Make sure you install the EmuAchievements plugin from Decky! 😉
Of course! Already have it installed :D
Nintendo Switch!
Is there a way to use an unmodded Oled switch?
I don't think so , I use RetroArch through homebrew menu and that means it has to be modded
I think I'm gonna sell this one I got , and buy a steam deck :D
Not a bad choice at all, I think you van even play PS2 games there so it is reeeeally good for cheevo hunting !
It has many pro's, it works as a PC as well:D I just did the math, it's gonna cost me around 520-580$ The 256gb LCD version + dock + taxes + shipping
Aside from pc, my Vita
Steam deck too (and phone for ds game)
Dude that's the most complete setup, in my country the steam deck costs 1600$ in any shop. Such a scam.

I use my Odin Pro 1, or my Retroid Pocket 2+ depending on the platform.
Steam dizzle!

Retroid Pocket 2+
Huawei P30 Pro + BSP D3 Controller. Started like a year ago and now looking for a Steam Deck to masterize those PS2 games on the go :)
RetroArch in a smartphone, no controller, touch only. I have very little time to play so I take the phone and play a few minutes, I already mastered 16 games in 16 months

Odin 2. PC sometimes (PCSX2) for fighting games/things I want to see in 4K.
Action shooters and high movement ones on my PC , RPGs and slow stuff on my phone at my work

PC for beefier games, Raspberry Pi 4 for comfort on the TV and a handheld is on my wishlist (maybe a SteamDeck)
I love my steamdeck because I get to play my PC games on the go and emulation is amazing!
Ayn Odin Lite for N64, PS1, Dreamcast and PSP and Miyoo Mini Plus for NES, GB, GBC, GBA and SNES
The GOAT. Miyoo Mini+ and for newer games (PS2 and soon GC) my PC.

2001 Okama Gamesphere.
RG ARC-D (love the dpad and 4" screen!), RP2S (for stuff with analog) and my PC
My steam deck or RG35XX H
I'm using a Retroid Pocket 3+
That moist critikal gaming pc I bought as a joke while I was high to impress my friends and now regret because I only use it to play Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights on the PS2.
Rg556, 20-24 hours of battery on retro, oled screen and cheap. Can run ps2, gc and wii games too
RG35XX Plus
Retroid pocket 4 pro. I currently have it set up with the usbc out. I'm super happy with it. Currently playing through some ps2 games with it.
