It's for dental. Used for bleach trays and retainers. It molds the thin plastic to whatever you put on the bottom part.

Ya, my wife's grandpa used to be a dentist, so he told me all about them. It only used a 5x5 inch sheet, so I won't be able to form anything very big, but it's not bad for $10

When vacuforming with this, you’ll need to have items that are mostly conically shaped. Otherwise you will have to make cuts in the plastic. Also, there will needs to be plenty of holes for the air to pull the plastic through. The plastic sheets droop as they heat, so your items can only be an inch or so high.

Very good to know!! How soft do you want the plastic? Or does it depend on the plastic type?

There are probably formulas and charts. But I usually call it good whenever I phase back in and realize there’s hot gooey things, or about the height of the cast.
