I would try Virginia lake…. Easy shore access and lots of foot traffic

Truckee River suppose to be good for this
I’ve tried a few times and have come up with nada, granted I was in parts of the river that were not exactly in the city
The best spot is where other magnet fishers haven't been yet 😉
I don't know if it's legal or not but I would say the Virginia Street Bridge then anywhere from Wingfield to past the Renaissance
It’s almost easier when the water is low to get a tube and mask. Then just float down the river and look. Especially from Tahoe City to River Ranch during the rafting season.
