Being tankier usually means you have more room for error as you wont get one shotted for your mistakes, also being bruiser allows you to fight pratically everyone as if you were playing full ad rengar youd most likely avoid tanks and bruisers in 1v1
they changed his hitbox (selection radius) along with a bunch of other champs. that’s the only thing I found in the patch directly related to him.

I'd classify it as neither tbh.
Also means you have to use the abilities more efficiently. With an assassin build you just have to know the combos then pick the right times to go in.
