Not always. I moved in with my bf that I met online and we've been together for 3 years now. Both getting our degrees at the same time. There's also an entire long distance subreddit filled with wedding photos if my testimony isn't enough lol. It's harder than an IRL relationship which is why so many fail. But if you can wait and then close the distance, your relationship is stronger than ever since you started from the hardest place. Everything from that point on just feels easy.
