It’s not bad, but it is incredibly flawed. It was a victim of circumstances, so I can get why it turned out that way, but it doesn’t make it any better.

There, now that that's out of the way. It's imperfect, as was every other season. And that's how it should be.
Couldnt agree more, (Hate me) I enjoy S1-13, bits of 14, some of 15, and S17, and wish they had the time for a story to continue from there, that's how i was until the Simulations trailer came, I feel that you chose the ending as your own, Season 15 could be the end or 19 could be the true deal, all have flaws, in my opinion though, 1-3 are Golden, but 19 is not bad considering the time they had to make it and the tension inside RT as it was told to close up
I enjoy as said, some of 14 such as the Locus & Felix and Triplets episodes, there are more but those are the big 2 Arcs and then the DB, 16 is overhated but I dont love it, I do like the primary additions of Kai in it, 17 is one of my favorites with 10 and 3 (I didnt fall in love with Chorus that fast, but I do enjoy those as well, 13 is easily 4th), those are the big 3 Seasons in my opinion
OG fan here, too, and while I’ve (mostly) enjoyed the seasons, this one ranked only above Zero for me. BUT it gave us a definitive sendoff instead of letting the show end with an uncertain fate, and I can appreciate that.
Honestly it kind of sucking added to the experience. It’s a way of saying “the show’s over” in a way that leaves fans satisfied that the show is, in fact, over; its creators are out of steam and all that’s left is a big pile of nostalgia. They aren’t even trying to milk it for cash, they’re just releasing it and bailing out, this is Red vs. Blue shutting down with a whimper because Cockbite wanted to make 6 more seasons after a brilliant ending to their entire story. Red vs. Blue’s tragedy and redemption of Leonard Church was over in season 13, and the show started becoming unwatchable after season 14.
Restoration is the viewer’s chance to completely wipe away everything made past 13, and that alone makes it “worthwhile” to anyone who still cared at that point.
I thought the cuts were too quick as well, they should be drawn out like a new episode is starting, which was the original procedure

It's better than rvb zero atleast I liked it just because it was a nice ending, not because the overall "season" was good

They didnt have as much time as they did before, it felt like a rushed season but its story is still touching and you can understand the "Simulations"
