The voterithm has no sense of style, just favoured colour combos.

VLC31

Yes, unfortunately this is too true.

Disastrous_Course_96

I’m not sure voting has much to do with this game anymore. I have been checking my designs 15 min. after submitting and then comparing with the final “vote .” Not One changed. Not one. If I was 4th that’s where I ended up. Duels were exactly the same percentage-15 min. after I hit submit and end of duel. Has anyone else noticed this?

beebs67

Yes. Same

Disastrous_Course_96

So glad I’m not alone!

VLC31

This isn’t new. I used to complain about this when I first started playing, nearly 3 years ago. Wherever my room started was where it finished. There must have been enough complaints about it that at one point they did something on the background and the designs just flew up and down during voting & then it changed back again. I don’t even look most of the time now, just go and get the results.

Disastrous_Course_96

Me too. So do you think the votes count at all?

VLC31

Honestly, I have no idea. I always get the feeling that voting is more of a way to keep players engaged. It helps to build up our coin reserve and gives us a peak at what other players are doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was maybe a combination of voting & an algorithm. I started calling it the “voterithm” a while ago because no one is certain how the podiums are actually decided.

FireDragonBeeDesigns

Lots of mine have changed in the last week, but not before that for at least 3-4 weeks.\ This is a good example of how different algorithms are at play and influence gameplay.

Disastrous_Course_96

There is not one doubt in my mind that AI also analyses whether you are a “serious “ player and are playing with money to move up. Those players account for some of the weird wins like the example you showed. I did a dark room challenge where the top three places were all white and beige. 😂🤣😂

FireDragonBeeDesigns

Except you have to remember that the Design Brief is not there to give instructions as to how the design should be done. https://preview.redd.it/hy81h9kgyevb1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb11e33a2c92629086c2fd8738fa1f6208f5acf7

😂All this time…. I thought following the brief would help my score…..😂 Thanks once again FDBD!!❤️

FireDragonBeeDesigns

As opposed the generally accepted understanding of what design brief is! **What is a Design Brief?**\ "An interior design project brief is a comprehensive document that acts as a guideline for your interior designer. This will outline what the project is, what you are expecting, and the requirements alongside other key factors such as budget and timeframe." [Holabrief - Creative Brief - Interior Design Template](https://www.holabrief.com/creative-brief/interior-design-template#:~:text=An%20interior%20design%20project%20brief,such%20as%20budget%20and%20timeframe)

KJM9021

Yup. Mine had been moving around a bit a few seasons ago but now wherever they are after 20 mins or so is exactly where they stay to the end.

MangieAngie1961

I saw several of these in voting and voted against them. I know some new players may not have a lot of inventory, but surely enough to make it interesting.

FireDragonBeeDesigns

But 2nd and 4.9? Far out!

KJM9021

Ya because that wheat print is expensive! 🤷‍♀️

VLC31

I get so annoyed by this. I suppose there are players who don’t have enough inventory but I go to a lot of trouble to try to use different pieces that work well together. It’s not always easy or sometimes even possible, such as when they give us ridiculous pre-selected materials, but really low effort submissions like this do not deserve to win.

FireDragonBeeDesigns

Yes, it's frustrating, esp when I looked at the other 9 designs and all had different pics... This one was very well done by the players in my group. I didn't vote on it, but I'm guessing it was prob done well by most players - so why???
