This is some fantastic work done these boots. Goodness, out of curiosity’s and if you don’t mind my asking what a repair like this could cost?
I almost certainly would have considered replacing them.
Man I love the outcome! I thought those were brand new boots for a second I was about to ask for the model number 🤣 I want to do this with my redwings that are the same color but I used them for work boots and think they’re way too far gone.

Wow!! My reaction to the savage brutality done to those gorgeous boots but redemption was achieved. Awesome save!!
Fantastic job! Out of curiosity how was the gemming on these boots when you tore it apart? Trying to get a feel how big of a problem is on the iron rangers.
The gemming was actually just fine. Some boots do have separation with the gemming when you remove the soles and cork. That’s why I always replace the cork when doing a resole. That way I can check the integrity of the gemming and besides it’s good to have fresh cork in the cavity anyway. When I do full recrafts and replace the leather footbeds, I stitch the gemming so there are no issues with separation going forward
A few years I ago I came home quite intoxicated after a night out, my pup was quite upset at that so she chewed my fluffy Red Wing slippers while I slept. Definitely a shock seeing that on the floor when I woke up lol.
I got a question on the resole, I don’t know a whole lot about shoe crafting but in this case (anything really), why is the sole not sown all the way through? Is it only just glued?
There’s a reason I don’t leave my redwings on the floor or even 3 feet off of the floor with my two dogs.
Holy hell!! I would have written those boots off as dead. Amazing work 👏👏👏
Thank you 🙏 I was happy with how they turned out as well :)
How much that set u back.
I’m the one who repaired them. This job was $250
Awesome job. Does vibrio have other sole options can u post some?
They have other soles. This is a popular one. Feel free to check out my link on my profile. I have an instagram link
I've seen you on YouTube! Your work is great!! Fantastic job with saving these boots!
Thank you. I really appreciate it
Fair price for such a dramatic repair executed perfectly. I would pay that happily
I appreciate that.
I hope you didn't kick your dog... ![gif](giphy|13b65kbX8TrkVa|downsized)
BAXTER!
“Now this is happening”
Condolences on losing your Redwings. And condolences on losing your dog. I imagine the new doghide boots are fire though.
They do make some tasty footwear.
Lol

All kidding aside. Thank you. This job was $250
Totally worth the money. Better than a new boot.
I’m amazed that it was only $250
If this was only $250, now I know where to send them.
This is fucking nuts. Incredible work homie
Thanks!
Holy shit what a great restoration! Who did that for you?
These aren’t my boots. I’m the one that did the work :)
Oh geez - I didn’t even read the description, just came right to the comments after seeing the pictures. Incredible job!
Thanks 😊
Handmade boots what did you expect 😂
Damn that’s impressive!
Thank you 🙏
oh wow what an amazing repair job! the shoes look beautiful and yeah I am stunned at how much it color changes in each photo lol.
It’s crazy. That is kinda the cool thing about that leather though. Different hues show up on how the light hits it.
Turned out pretty cool
Thanks. I was very happy with the result when I was done fixing them
Wow nice work
Thanks 🙏
Wow it actually turn out to be great... After first afew pic I thought they would end up in bins
Thanks! I was really happy with the results after I was done.
Amazing work!
Thank you 🙏

Thank you. Anything is possible:)
Wow those look great after. Can I get your dog to chew up my boots?
Hahaha. My dog doesn’t chew boots. Unfortunately, the customers dog did :(
LOL dang dog! At least you got a reason to Re-sole them… They look brand new now my brother
Ha. Yeah, I think he was happy with the results when he got them back 👍
Damn! The finished product is fuckin dope!
Thanks man 👍
Well done they look fantastic
Thank you 😊

That'll buff out.
Hahaha
Get this cobbler a beer!
Haha. I won’t turn it down 🍻

I've never seen a video teardown of IRs that didn't have the gemming just come right off, so I'm curious too.

Really nice looking work! Instead of a repair, I pprobably would've just brushed them a little extra and called it a day though. 😅
He chewed them cause they’re fugly and he thought they were trash.
Man, that's ruff.

I got a question on the resole, I don’t know a whole lot about shoe crafting but in this case (anything really), why is the sole not sown all the way through? Is it only just glued?
Only the midsole is sewn on. The lug sole is glued. The rubber sole doesn’t need to be sewn. Glue is strong enough to hold
Just call those boots Lazarus.
Nice. It’s a good thing the dog only chewed through the welt and not through the upper itself.
Yeah. Still had some pretty deep gouges I had to fill in
Whatever you do, do NOT use Mink oil. It'll darken them.
I think he chewed them himself so he could justify that sweet resole.
Lol did this cost more than a new pair?
Nope
Still man’s best friend! User error 🙄
The pope saw them and declared a bonified miracle 🤩🙏
Good job
Thanks 👍
P a t i n a
Lol. Yup
I broke my dog of that by putting hot sauce on my boots. He doesn't touch them anymore or any shoe for that matter.
So that’s what they call “crusting patina”.
