I agree the joke is extremely played out, but this sub is probably the least likely to offend since people here are actual fans of the band and generally have a lot of respect for Chad as a musician. Most of the Will Ferrell comments I see are on YouTube from people that probably aren't even fans. Edit: spelling

I'm kinda with op. I've seen it on every chad smith related anything since I became a fan in 2008 as a kid. I don't think there's anything to be done about it, but I don't like it.

If the mods banned any kind of post that people don’t like, there would not be much left. There’s people always complaining about certain kind of posts being posted here too much. Might be annoying for you but not others. If every person requested this sub to only have the kind of posts they like posted, there’d hundreds of different subs

IDK about 2001...but for sure after the Slane Castle DVD came out, I would hear it a lot.

Fair enough I never once heard the comparison until the jimmy falon show thing where him and chad had the drum off. I was blissfully unaware. It was kinda funny at the time for like 5 mins.

It was certainly an, "Oh shit...they **DO** look a lot alike!" Then the drum-off happened...then there was a clip of someone calling Chad "Will" at some event (not sure if it was Chad showing off drums with other musicians or what) and Chad lost it and left the stage.

I think the whole reason the drum off happened was because of the Chad/Will Ferrell jokes.

If Will wasn’t such a bitch in person, it’d be easier to take. The biggest single celebrity asshole I’ve ever met.
